Absolutely amazing experience at Wildner as always. We quickly got a same day reservation after having an issue with a different hotel. The staff was very accommodating, helpful and friendly. They even recognized my husband from years ago when he stayed with family! |The included breakfast was very good and we enjoyed the lunch we got there another day too!|The staff seem like Italian locals with a family feel to the hotel. |The location is a quick walk to water taxi, St. Mark’s and many other restaurants and shops. |I cannot recommend this hotel enough!!

Restaurant only. The wait staff might be cool at first, but they are on the water and you know people want just one drink to take an 8 top for an hour. But, they were so nice, accommodating, and informative I can't even. Helped my kids practice pronunciation, helped Mother-in-law order the best, called their dog over to please my toddler, flirted with my Wife and made her laugh and smile. The food is fantastic and the location is bar none. If you're close, this is the place, just let them know you're here to eat, this isn't a bar.

We arrived early and our room was ready, warm friendly service from the start. Beautiful view from the fourth floor. We decided to try the restaurant for lunch. Friendly service lovely food. |This hotel is well appointed a couple of bridges from the main square and across from the ferry stop. Great spacious room with a fabulous shower. A massive thank you to all the staff great friendly service lovely and clean great food and wine. I’m gluten free they catered for me having had breakfast a lunch and a supper there. Great drinks menu too.||My partner proposed on the Saturday a beautiful Easter weekend.

Very sad to see this restaurant fall to the level of scam and crime. I have been here many times over the years for dinner and enjoyed the food. But today at lunch one of the waitresses charged me 18 euros for ice, the items she charged me for were not listed on the menu. When I tried to complain she immediately threatened to call the police on me in a totally unnecessary escalation. Customers should be allowed to complain about the prices and charges that were no on the menu without being threatened with law enforcement. Totally insane interaction. Completely deranged waitress desperate for money with no shame, quite a shock to experience at what I thought was a respectable restaurant.

Outstanding Service and Thoughtful Staff We stayed at this hotel for a short trip and were very impressed with the excellent service from the staff. Although we had paid for breakfast for two days, we had to leave early in the morning due to transport strikes. We assumed there wouldn’t be any alternative, so we didn’t ask for a refund or takeaway. To our surprise, the staff actually asked us if we wanted a takeaway breakfast and even checked for other options to help us get to the train station instead of walking. Their thoughtfulness and initiative really made a difference during a stressful situation. It’s rare to experience service this attentive and proactive. Highly recommended for anyone who values genuine hospitality!

No elevator, staff will help with luggage. Nice if there's a fridge in the room, especially in hot weather, to keep drinks cold. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Location is excellent, right in front of the water bus stop.

We had dinner here, the food tasted really good. Plus the service was very good too. Slightly overpriced but at par with most fine dining restaurants in Venice. Quantity could've been a bit more as per the price, but again expecting good quantity in a fine dining restaurant is borderline crime.

Google
Restaurant only. We had the best meal of our 2-week Italy trip at Ristorante Wildner. The tuna pasta and the monkfish were absolutely delicious. The staff were very welcoming. We enjoyed the meal so much we came back and ate here another night, and it was just as good.

Yelp
First food experience in Venice. Found this place on Yelp. Surprised that there were very little review given the location was around a busy corner by the dock. Ordered variety of dishes including clam spaghetti, scallops, fried calamari and fish, risotto , etc. food was amazing. Very nicely cooked and well portioned. Our server was super nice and quick. Which was kind of a rarity in Italy. Favorite highlight was scallops , super fresh and sweet. Also the squid ink scuttle fish with polenta was creamy and tasty If this was not reviewed by many I highly recommend this hidden gem. Would definitely be back if I were ever in the area again.

Yelp
We are in Venice and decided to have dinner at a restaurant by the Grand Canal. We tried this restaurant based on outdoor seating, view and 4 star rating. I ordered the artichoke bottoms as a side, eggplant parmigiana, spaghetti a olio (for my son) and spaghetti a vongole. 1st, I asked to sit at a table by the outdoor edge but was told all tables were reserved so they stuck us at a table outside but back corner next to a closed window. 2nd, artichokes were average. 3rd, spaghetti came beyond al dente for both dishes (just give me a box of uncooked pasta). Note, no one asked us how we wanted the spaghetti cooked. The only highlight was good service and a good eggplant parmigiana. Last, we paid and left and no one sat while we were there at the reserved tables (5). I would not recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Ristorante Wildner was recommended to us by our hotel, and it did not disappoint. We ordered the roasted sea bass with potatoes and marinara sauce, macaroni pasta with bolognese sauce, and sautéed lover Venetian style. Every dish was delicious. The pasta was cooked perfectly - al dente, but not too chewy. The sea bass was super fresh, and the liver was super savory. We ordered a bottle of tasty chianti, and Chinotto Italien soda, to go with the meal. The service was friendly, and the ambiance was warm and family-like. I would highly recommend this place!

Yelp
Appetizers and Dinner were delicious. Drinks were good. Right across from the water. Good for people watching. Watched as a families portrait was drawn by a street vendor. Very relaxing and good service. If you are looking for a nice casual place for dinner this is a safe bet.

Yelp
We are in Venice with 20 to 30 Mio. visitors every year (depending on the source) - ok a lot daily tourists but still - a huge number of tourists invading the city and want to eat: breakfast, lunch and dinner - so you really think you will find a restaurant easily not focused on tourists - maybe in your dreams or what you like to experience during your vacation. So the point is to find a spot which is not a tourist trap or at least you get something for your money and in Venice your money "is not worth the same" - Venice is just very expensive even with all the competition around. At least the Wildner is a spot where the Service is very friendly. The servers like to make a joke and speak with the customers - if you don't like that you shouldn't go there. The food is good and you get good sized portions and the prices are Venice-reasonable. The Restaurant is located a couple of walking minutes behind S. Marco at the Canale with a nice patio. It's not a very large restaurant - so not to many people in also in high season (we were in end of July) but it's quite noisy because of the size. I had the mussels and the grilled fish for two and some cheese to finish. I wouldn't say the best fish ever but all good and well prepared. The wine list is ok and you find a good selection between €30 - €40. So overall a good place in Venice I would definitely come again.

Yelp
It is one of the restaurant along the coast line close to St Mark's Square. True to the reviews, the food at this place is good. More importantly, the price is reasonable by Venetian standard. We mainly had the pasta dishes, and they do not disappoint. Waiters are very nice as well.

Yelp
Favorite restaurant in Venice, period. Beautifully cooked food which is consistently good, friendly wait staff, great location for people watching. If you're planning on having dinner here, make a reservation. It gets busy with both tourists and locals - always a good sign, especially for a restaurant so close to St. Mark's. Don't miss the panna cotta!

Yelp
Delicious!! Pizza with zucchini and zucchini flowers with the lightest crust and a creamy cheese . Melon and prosciutto. Dry delicious prosecco. Outdoor terrace watching the boats and people go by. Quiet and lovely.
