We’ve been looking forward to staying here for about two years, ever since we had to cancel our original booking. The rooms are spacious, and the service, along with the clear instructions for access, made settling in easy. However, there were a few aspects of the experience that left us feeling a bit disappointed.
While we understand it’s glamping, for the price we paid, the room remained uncomfortably cold despite running three heaters and the fireplace. Additionally, I had to deal with small spiders along the headboard wall near the bathroom, which was unpleasant. They did inform us in advance about the broken toilet flush—though functional, it wasn’t visually appealing, but that was fine. However, the showerhead handle kept slipping out of place, which was frustrating to deal with.
Another minor inconvenience was the limited selection of games, accompanied by the odd note that we might need to share our Scrabble set with other guests. Given the cost of the stay, this felt a bit unusual.
Overall, it was a unique experience, but not one we’d repeat. We’d describe it as a “been there, done that” kind of stay.
