"Wildwood Market, set in a former Sunoco in Indianapolis’s quirky Fountain Square district, still evokes a gas station ambience with garage bay doors, a concrete floor, and cinder block walls. There’s even part of an old tire and tool rack hanging from the ceiling, which is now used to display spices for sale. The menu includes rotating baked goods, soup and salad, and sandwiches. The market posts its daily sandwiches on Instagram—and locals know to head there fast as they tend to sell out before the lunch rush is over. One recent concoction: a sandwich made with duck confit, Camembert, caramelized shallots, baby arugula, Dijon mustard, and figs on a buttered brioche bun." - Adrienne Jordan

Awesome small little neighborhood grocery store. Fresh produce, fresh meat from local farms and all the basics to get you through. They always have great sandwiches for a quick grab and go. Don't forget to grab some fresh flowers on way out.

Stepping through the door at Wildwood Market feels like stepping back in time three quarters of a century. Inside a converted garage, you’ll find shelves and displays of fresh, local and small-batch products — breads and treats baked up the street; coffees roasted across town; flowers, produce, meats and dairy products from nearby farms; plus so much more. Each day, they take the best of those ingredients and feature them in a sandwich and salad along with brewed coffee and kombucha on tap. Behind the counter, the staff is so friendly and welcoming. They’re also very knowledgeable about the products they sell, in particular the local ones. I imagine at one time every neighborhood had a quaint little market just like this. Today, it’s a rare treasure you’ll only find in Fountain Square.

Quaint little market, with a nice variety of local products. Deceiving curb presence hides diverse choices of sauces, spices, dressings, and other pantry items. Also has a modest collection of fresh produce and baked goods at decent prices and a sizeable charcuterie selection. Maybe not the place to do large shopping trips, but nice for a change of pace.

5 stars all around! Staff knowledge and service is incredible. They can always help you find what you’re looking for and if you have a specific item request they go above and beyond to help you get it. Also amidst the pandemic they’ve continually pivoted to keep their guests and staff safe. They haven’t been making sandwiches anymore but they’ve started doing more packaged foods like pimento cheese and caramelized onion dip. If you have not had the pimento cheese you do not know what you’re missing! I would say it’s the best this nation has ever seen. Do yourself a favor and try some!

I love coming in here! They always have unique and local items that you wouldn't see in a regular grocery store. It is pricey, so I'm not always able to do shopping here, but it is a great place to come in and get "extras" for your household. For those who wish to shop solely local, this place has almost everything you'd need.

A gem of a local grocery store, deli, and cheese shop. If you are looking for locally grown or produced goods, this place has them. Located in an old garage, this market has a small but nicely cultivated selection of fresh and dried goods, ranging from bell peppers to locally raised steaks in their freezer section. Locally roasted coffees share a shelf with herbs, spices, sauces, and pastas. The deli counter offers up a daily sandwich, salad, or soup that really push the flavor up to the next level and for extremely reasonable prices. Think $8 for an awesome sandwich made with local deli meats, cheeses, and bread. A huge plus for me is the excellent selection of locally roasted coffees. This is one stop shopping for me at its best. I highly recommend you stop in for a sandwich, some fresh coffee, or just to look around. You won't be disappointed.

My neighborhood grocer; a quick 10 minute walk to grab the little things and sometimes a nice piece of high quality meat. So much local produce and product I could only be happier if they stocked more but then it wouldn't be as charming. Love this place.

Oh my goodness. I just moved back to Indy and I love this little market. For lunch they offer a sandwich, salad and soup option. Just one for each and it changes daily but everything is really fresh and healthy. The market has a nice variety of foods, produce, etc. Just wish I lived closer!
