Great little place up in the avenues. Delicious food. It was fun to see the back of house in action. Croquettes had a great curry sauce. Fries were hot and seasoned well. Risotto was a large portion delicious. Meat Loaf was a large portion and also delicious.

Janessa Staler

Google
Food was amazing, quite large portions for an affordable price. Out waitress was very nice and helpful . Took about 30 minutes to get our food which is great considering how busy it was. The seating is a bit compact but still a nice atmosphere and comfortable.

Google
Loved our experience at Wildwood! It was a busy night, but they took us on a walk-in….always nice to see a restaurant make that extra effort. Service from our waiter was prompt and attentive, and he made some great menu recommendations. We split the mushroom toast for an app. I had no idea what to expect, but it was delicious! For mains, my wife got the risotto and I got the fried chicken (on the servers recommendation). They did not disappoint! Both were extremely flavorful, well-prepared and generous portions. Lots more we want to try on the menu, so we’ll definitely be back!

Gabrielle Marie

Google
What we ordered; Garlic butter scallops, veal schnitzel, Mac and cheese, coconut cake!

Google
We’re so happy we had dinner here on the last night of our SLC trip! Our server Thomas took great care of us and we ordered some of his recommendations. We got the mac and cheese, wings, stroganoff, and fish & chips and liked every single thing. The wings were some of the best we’ve had in a long, long time. We also enjoyed sitting outside on the patio. Very fair prices for HUGE portions. I highly recommend it for locals and visitors!!

Google
Very cute spot. Patio looked nice but it wa packed. We were seated inside at a table practically shoulder to shoulder on both sides with other groups. The seating arrangement doesn’t allow for an easy dining experience. Server was just ok. She seemed to be just going through the motions. We had the burger and it was good. Not flavor packed but still good. The ribs looked amazing so I think we would give them another shot and see how the ribs are. Pricing was also ok. Glass of wine $10 , beer $6, burger $21, dessert $12. We split the burger and it was perfect amount.

Google
Food and ambiance was excellent. Chef Kurt cooks real ingredients to their excellence. From appetizers to dessert, each dish was full of flavor with beautiful presentation. The service was attentive and very kind. It's definitely worth stopping in for a great dinner experience and not looking for traditional downtown food.

Google
Super good! Everything I saw on the table looked like you'd never be disappointed. You could close your eyes and point at the menu when ordering and you'd leave happy. I had the fried chicken and ordered some beignets to go. One thing to note: the bigness neither tasted or looked like beignets-they had an almost eggy taste. However, they were still very good. Fried chicken was as good as it looked. The picture was taken after I had ate 1/3rd of it (there were 3 pieces originally) I ended up spending about $50 after tip

Yelp
Great food. Good service. It was my second time visiting. First time was a good experience with the atmosphere of a smaller local joint. I thought I would bring business friends and made a reservation. We ended up in the basement sitting uncomfortably on stools around a covered up pool table with lights that made the whole thing unpleasant. Won't do that again.

Yelp
Intimate small converted house that serves wonderfully prepared food - good variety, very tasty, well portioned. Ordered scallops, meal, and muscles with pomme frites. The service was quick and friendly. Very reasonable prices for food and drinks. This was the best food I had in all of Salt Lake City in Park City. Easy street street parking - it is free but be prepared to walk a block! Would absolutely go back to this place! Must make a reservation!

Raymond C.

Yelp
We've heard great things about the place. Let's start with food. The portions for the entrees were HUGE! The apps were all delicious. Try the frog legs. The service was on point. Our server was on top of things. The place is small, so a large party may have trouble getting a table. Make sure to get a reservation. The best part was the desserts. Save room for the bread pudding. We also loved the beignets with salted caramel as a side to dip and the cheese cake. Would definitely go back!

Stef A.

Yelp
Lovely restaurant located in the avenues neighborhood The good - Great portion sizes. Their appetizers were interesting and tasty. We loved their wings (spicy), lamb (well spiced) and beet salad (fresh). - the chicken hash was a lighty fried chicken salad patty with this rich and creamy white sauce. It was so tasty. I loved every bite of it. - My husband got the pork belly that had these lovely shishito peppers. It also had grapes and apples that you may not think would go well with the pork but it cut out some of the richness of the meat and made for a well balanced bite. - well priced and generous portion desserts. Save room for the bread pudding The not so good - service was clunky. We waited a few minutes after walking in to this small restaurant to be greeted. I felt our server could have explained the dishes better - croquettes were super bland. The sauce was okay but can definitely skip this appetizer

Yelp
Even with a reservation you have to wait for a table to get up and go before your table is ready which i understand since it's such a small place. They don't really have a waiting area so you kind of hang out in the doorway which is challenging with people already there and people leaving. However once sat, service is great but busy. The food is really fresh and delicious. As always we started with the shrimp in that excellent sauce that I put over the Mac and cheese! Yum. My table ordered carrots and the squash soup which were very unique but good. The ribs are really delicious too but didn't order this time. Cute restaurant in the avenues that is serving up some great food and very good prices. Make sure to get a reservations.

Yelp
Nestled in the Avenues is WildWood. We came here on a Wednesday night for dinner since it was close to Primaries. We were immediately seated and opted to sit on their patio since it was such a nice day. We ordered theee items: the burrata salad, the wings, and their Desert Mountain burger. They were all so good and everything was super flavorful, but if you had to order one of the three items, get the burrata salad! We'll definitely be eating here again and trying their desserts next time.

Yelp
Par Excellene! Food fullfils. Service delights. Ambiance comforts. Costs reasonable, especially for the high quality REAL deliciousness that you WILL enjoy. Hidden gem for sure!!!

Hailey M.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing. Ambiance is perfect, especially the patio seating. Perfect size where you're not the only people dining but there's not a massive crowd and you can't hear yourself think. Food is DIVINE. We were blown away by the appetizers. Sambal wings 10/10, paired with a sesame dressing and the best coleslaw. Mac and cheese 10/10, literally took me to heaven. Topped with fried onions. Perfect. Gambas, 10/10. Shrimp, chili, garlic served with naan bread. Most excellent combination. All of the servings were very generous!!

Yelp
Visiting from New York. This place would never survive in NYC - very disappointing. There was no flow with the service, just seemed like an understaff operation. There was spilled food on the floor when we finally sat down. The table wasn't fully set and the cups were placed on the wrong side of the table. Food came out warm and didn't taste fresh. My boyfriend liked his entree of the steak & Fritz so that's why I gave it 2 stars. Disclosure: I am not an ultracrepidarian.

W K.

Yelp
1. Cool spot in one of the best neighborhoods in SLC. Very interesting and inviting space. 2. Service was lackluster. Waitress was obviously trying to turn our table over from the time we were seated. 3. Food was mediocre. Croquettes were dry, and the sauce was tasteless. My fried chicken and mashed potatoes were a very generous serving but were bland. My wife's risotto, again a generous serving, was salty. Donuts were solid. The highlight of the meal was the coffee. A disappointing experience, which is a shame as it has so much potential.

Cosette P.

Yelp
Scrumptious! We were more than pleasantly surprised! The restaurant felt very rustic meets neighborly (it's in the middle of the avenues). The roasted beets were light and refreshing with Greek yogurt. The stroganoff and steak frites were quite rich and are now leftovers. We will happily return!

Jack T.

Yelp
Cute little restaurant located in the avenues serving American fare. Great spot if you're looking to get a quick reservation on short notice on a weekend since it's a little slower than some of the downtown restaurants! Wasn't crazy about the corn risotto (not pictured) but everything else was very tasty!

Michelle S.

Yelp
Interesting menu, fun cocktails, great service! Love the vibe. Cute place in the Avenues!

Scott I.

Yelp
I've eaten there a couple times in the last couple of months it's always been fantastic. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food is simply divine one of the best places in Salt Lake to eat in my opinion last time we were there we had the steak and frits and the mussels and Frits tons of Fritz the flavors were amazing. The only thing I would say this place is lacking. Is it really good wine list so bring your own they'll uncork it.

Hannah B.

Yelp
Omg the food here was seriously delicious. The pork belly was cooked perfectly and the sauce it came in complimented it so well. The potatoes were soft with a little crispiness which I loved. Each person I went with enjoyed the flavor of their meal. The whipped potatoes that came with the fried chicken were to die for. Highly recommend eating here!!! Plus the vibe is adorable and the service was great. I would recommend having a reservation. Outdoor seating might have a wait even with a reservation.

Yelyzaveta B.

Yelp
Very frustrated with this place Food: Mushroom toast was good, but not for the price. I liked it, but my husband found mushrooms way too vinegar-ish, failing to be balanced out by goat cheese. Chicken hash was uneatable and had to be returned. The sauce was watery and had a weird aftertaste of evaporated milk. The chicken tasted like it was from a can. Ribs were above average. The sauce and fries were amazing. Some parts of the ribs were extremely dry. The fact that ribs came out in 5 minutes, also makes me suspect that they were made earlier in the day. Fish and Chips is another dissapointment. There was more bread on the fish, than fish itself. Ambiance: Very cute patio. The inside, on the other hand, looks really bad and old. If I had an important event to celebrate, I would make sure to reserve a table on the outside and in advance, as it is pretty small. Service: Great service, very polite. Kinda confusing reception area tho.

Yelp
We had been wanting to try this place for awhile, but it really let us down. The restaurant itself is really cute and feels like a 90s coffee shop. This was the main reason we wanted to come - the menu also had some entrees that sounded yummy. We finally went tonight and the food was really disappointing. The star of my fried chicken dish was the potatoes, and the chicken was almost hard to find in the 1-2 inches of breading. The breading also just instantly slid off the chicken when you cut into it. The only reason it isn't 1 star is because my partner really liked the ribs, so maybe the fried chicken is just a mistake. The other insane part about this restaurant was the comedically large portions. The entrees were MASSIVE. It would make so much more sense to cut the entrees in half and charge 60% of the price, or just make this a tapas style restaurant. Even our plate of shishito peppers could've fed 10 people. I really wanted to like this place based on the reviews and ambiance, but neither of us will return. I think the restaurant could be something better, but the food just isn't there right now. No complaints on service.

Taylor H.

Yelp
Absolutely loved our visit to Wildwood! Made a reservation and showed up a bit early, but we were seated immediately. Our server, Thomas, was very helpful and attentive. The restaurant is warm and cozy. Smaller but very inviting. Drinks came quickly and were delicious! We ordered the mushroom toast to start with and it was so good! We had the pork ribs and fried chicken entrees and they were also delicious. And the portions were huge! Everything was so flavorful. The ribs had a great bark and pulled easily off the bone. We were so full we didn't have room for dessert. Can't wait to get back.

Yelp
Get outta here! New fav spot nestled in the aves that is so unassuming but holy smokes it's beyond good. We took the suggestion from a friend and only ordered appetizers and desserts and were so pumped. The gambas... I could have eaten 4 plates of that myself it was so damn good! The beets, with the yogurt and cinnamon..chef's kiss. The croquettes, fried perfectly and light. The Mac n cheese... Ok let's get this on paper.. I am usually NOT impressed by Mac n cheese and it usually ends up being just meh. But THIS Mac, is NEXT LEVEL! The burrata salad is fresh and yum! The beignets and bread pudding were the cherry on top of this splendid meal. Service was lovely and we got such great suggestions from our server. Outstanding atmosphere!.

Gretel T.

Yelp
I love the space. It's so cozy and cute - we don't have enough restaurants like this in SLC! Price is not bad for the quality and serving size. The concept is pretty straightforward and simple which I find charming. I agree with some of the other comments here saying everything is very salty. Usually that bothers me but I think it actually works with the dishes?? Like a salty plate of fries and mussel is kind of what I want... if that makes sense. I'd love to come back and try more!

Keisha R.

Yelp
Great food and service. We did get our Mac and cheese app did come after our entrees so that wasn't great. The carrot app is great. Indian spices flavors. The shrimp app was also good. The beef stroganoff dish was massive. It's good flavor though. Could use a little more umph. Like salt or something. Seasoning. The risotto dish is also huge. The fries were nice and crispy. Our waiter was excellent. The vibe is nice and chill. Small place and busy so make a reservation.

Nikki P.

Yelp
cute, cozy ambiance with great service. literally had the BEST mac & cheese of our lives. truly a 9.9/10. so creamy with white cheddar and a perfect crunch of onions and whatever the heck magic sauce is. A MUST GET!!! would totally even get this as an entree. highly recommend!

Alan L.

Yelp
One of my new favorite restaurants in slc. Had the pork belly, beet salad, gambas, and mushroom toast. Mushroom toast was pretty good but the other three were phenomenal. I thought the pork belly was some of the best I've had here. I LOVE that they're open (fairly) late too!

Denise Weed L.

Yelp
Don't go!!!! Got there an hour before they closed and they said they had not more food! Staff was SUPER rude- hard pass on a friendly family restaurant!!

Heather H.

Yelp
What a gem! I'm hesitant to even leave a review because I want to keep this place a secret.... beautiful, intimate, homey feel. My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary and it was the perfect setting... and perfect food! Our nice waitress gave us incredible suggestions leading us into a truly exceptional meal. We got three dishes: the braised pork belly, the wings, and the gamba (shrimp) dish. All of the dishes had exquisite flavors. The pork belly was exceptional. I am not a huge meat eater but I adored this dish. The pork belly was paired with fresh fruits and veggies and wonderfully cooked potatoes. Would definitely recommend this dish to anyone trying Wildwood for the first time. Give this place a go, we cannot wait to come back. I consider myself a pretty harsh food critic (a foodie if you will) and this place is foodie approved. Thank you Wildwood for a lovely experience!

Tyler T.

Yelp
The world would be infinitely better with more restaurants like Wildwood built in walkable neighborhoods. Cocktails are always excellent here, never had a bad one. Desert mountain burger is THE best burger in Utah. Amazing. Fried chicken is also 10/10. Get the brown butter rum bread pudding. If it has a single weakness it's the service- our server had tables outside on the patio as well as inside, not her fault, looked like more tables than one human could get to. Outside patio is 10/10 immaculate vibes when it's warm. Love this place.

S S.

Yelp
The Food was great as was the service. I googled "hidden gems" for SLC and Wildwood came up and it didn't disappoint. My daughter & I shared the mac & cheese, gem salad, a burger and the beignets with whipped cream & chocolate sauce. I think we rolled out of there. We live in PC which has some pretty good restaurants but it was nice to try something different. We'll be back!

Jessica W.

Yelp
Everything we ate at Wildwood was fantastic. Service was excellent and it is a very cute restaurant. We will be back after our great experience. I wish they were open for brunch!

Mary Margaret D.

Yelp
Had a reservation at 745, was not seated until at least 820 if not later. Food was very good (had the burger, mussels, risotto, burrata and croquettes) but our first round of drinks took at least 20 minutes and server did not acknowledge at all how long we had been waiting to be seated or how long we had waited for drinks. Would recommend food but overall not a great experience.

Dimple S.

Yelp
Food: 10/10 Wings: crispy and spicy, the coleslaw was sweet and tangy, blue cheese dressing was tasty. Ribs spicy and meaty, tender, fried chicken thighs were crunchy, whipped potatoes were creamy I loved the golden Raising, orange peel and veggies it was sweet and savory. Unexpected but super delicious. Bourbon bread pudding! It was my favorite, rich, soft with caramel ice cream. Melt in your mouth. We were both full but kept eating because it was really that good! Drinks: ginger heat (spicy definitely can taste the bourbon with chili) & cucumber smash (refreshing, lime with cucumber) both excellent. I would've loved to taste the tamarind sour. Service: 10/10 the hostess was kind, considerate, and wanted to make sure we had adequate space for a baby. The server Mary was sweet. We had a reservation for 9 PM, but we were seated @ 9:40pm and they comped a appetizer & dessert for our patience which we really appreciated. Ambience: 10/10 street parking only, small interior you can see the chefs creating the dishes. Cozy neighborhood restaurant. It would be amazing after a ski day. We would 100% come back! Loved the place. Best meal after a new baby.

Megan S.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious food and fantastic service. This place is small but mighty! Make sure to grab a reservation, we went in on a Sunday evening with a reservation and the place filled up immediately. They are also located downtown so you may need to circle the area a couple times to find a good spot. Even if you do have to park a block away, who doesn't love a stroll in the Avenues? Every single item we tried we absolutely loved. We started with the Little Gem salad which was a large portion and super delicious. The roasted beet salad was my personal favorite though, the granola they sprinkled on top was just the perfect touch. We also shared the Mac n Cheese which was again a large portion. I'm not sure what was in the "magic sauce" used for the Mac n Cheese but it was indeed magical. Finally we tried the Pumpkin and winter squash risotto, it was extremely delicious. The flavors were rich and savory but not too overpowering, very filling and an awesome comfort food on a cold day. The risotto was also a large portion, along with everything else, it was super fun to try lots of different things and share good food with good company. We saved room for dessert and I tried the Brown butter rum bread pudding which was super delicious. I also have to mention the drink menu, they have a super refreshing Cucumber Smash vodka cocktail that was a perfect balance to some of the more savory food we ordered. Such an adorable location combined with great service and stellar food makes this such an amazing place to make some great memories, just don't forget your reservation!

Emily H.

Yelp
I came here with some friends during her bachelorette weekend. I liked how the menu was straightforward and simple. I ordered the fish and chips. The fries were amazing, but the fish had too much batter on it. Our server, Zoe, did a great job at taking care of all 8 of us, and make sure my friend selected a gluten free menu item. The lighting was dim but not too dark so you couldn't see your food. The restroom was clean but because there was only one stall, we had to wait in line to use it or wash our hands after the meal.

Sarah G.

Yelp
would definitely recommend this place! we started with a few cocktails that were very good. we ordered the little gem salad, beet salad, mac n cheese, and rabbit pot pie. if you haven't read it enough in these reviews the mac n cheese is amazing. the little gem salad also stood out. we had the beignets for dessert. overall, everything was delicious and we went home with plenty of leftovers. service was great, really nice and attentive. they had some good music playing.

Thomas L.

Yelp
Food was excellent but be aware the entrees are big enough to share. Servers were very knowledgeable. Ambiance on the patio was very nice.

Ryan W.

Yelp
Food was good, waitstaff were horrible. Just unprofessional, mostly college students who acted like they were above the job. Learn to make a basic summer cocktail.

Miheer V.

Yelp
Had an impromptu visit there after walk in the Avenues. The hostess asked if we had a reservation. She seated us at the make-shift table made of barrel. That was only the minutest negative. The food was A.W.E.S.O.M.E. and that is coming from an Indian. American restaurants for me are generally meh. I am not looking for dragon breathing hotness but I need the flavorful spices. The food here checked off all the boxes. I have recommended this place wholeheartedly to multiple friends since that day's visit.

Mai L.

Yelp
We called ahead since based on Yelp - it was supposedly closed but it was open. We put in a reservation while we were on the phone. There was parking on the sides of the street. This place feels like it's part of the neighborhood. Cute and small. We had a choice of table when we walked in. We opted for the back of the restaurant since the door was propped open and it was started to get cool out. I ordered the fried chicken. It took a bit longer to come out but we didn't mind. We can see it being made because the kitchen is partially and open one. This dish was unique. The chicken was super crispy and the meat was juicy. No bones. The mashed potatoes were great. I didn't know what kish-mish was but I'm assuming it was the craisins are what ever the sweetness was. It was unique. Food was delish and our waitress was super nice and checked on us many times. I'll need to come back to try other things on the menu!

Alexa K.

Yelp
The food is delicious and the service is always great. It's got a smaller cozy vibe, but I'd love to sit on their patio come summer time.

James F.

Yelp
Good vibe, large portions for appetizer shrimp chowder, entre fried chicken and appetizer chicken wings. First two were very good, chicken wings were so spicy to be inedible, even the next day after taking it home.

Lindsey H.

Yelp
Delicious and beautiful food. It was a great experience and we will happily return. The macaroni and cheese was a nice start, my scallops were good but the basil cream sauce was better! All of the other diners loved their entrees. I can't imagine leaving disappointed. Large portions for the prices.

Elizabeth F.

Yelp
We were in town and looking for a spot that would take a short notice dinner reservation and found this hidden gem. It's very much in a neighborhood and was bustling. We checked in and said we could sit inside without a wait or could wait for an outdoor seat. We opted for the former and took a spot inside. Service was friendly and attentive. The ambiance was intimate, truly reminding you of a neighborhood gem. Here's what we ordered: Cucumber smash (5/5): Elegant and refreshing cucumber, basil, and like cocktail. Perfect for summer! Our waiter made it with half gin and half vodka as Hubs is a gin fan, but our waiter (rightfully so) suggested some vodka so as not to overpower the natural flavors of the cucumber. Ginger Heat cocktail (4/5): the mild spice adds a nice touch to the ginger cocktail Shishito (5/5): Flashed fried and seasoned with a hint of lemon and salt, highly recommend. Chicken hash (5/5): Sizable portion and likened to a chicken and corn meatloaf. Great flavor! Mussels and fries (3/5): Flavorful wine and onion reduction broth, but served at room temperature. The fries were plated on top of the mussels, so they were a bit soggy. Also a sizable entree. We skipped dessert so can't comment. It's a wonderful gem of a restaurant, highly recommend.

Adrienne C.

Yelp
We wanted to try everything but were too stuffed to even finished the handful of dishes we ordered. We'll be back to try the rest in the menu of this cute little spot in a charming neighborhood.

Ashlee L.

Yelp
Delicious!! They do veggies really well, the beet salad and carrot appetizers were great. I had the mussels and fries and the portions were huge. Begniets were so so. Overall would definitely be back!

Brecken L.

Yelp
Looking for a fancy dinner in slc Utah and one of the most romantic restaurants in SLC Utah? Look no further - you have found it! It is called Wildwood and is tucked up in the Avenues of Salt Lake City. Formerly known as Avenue Bistro on Third, it was recently purchased by a new owner who decided to the the restaurant to a new level with amazing drinks and even better meals! The dishes they serve are truly one of kind and have some of the best flavor in the valley! Everything is traditionally based, but takes on a twist like adding Kish Mish (raisins) on top of fried chicken - giving it a sweet and savory flavor! Honestly, it is now my husband and I's new go to spot when we want a sit down and nice restaurants in slc Utah! It is bound to be your all time new favorite dinner restaurant in slc Utah too! It is definitely a Utah hidden gem restaurant that you need to try! It is a bit of a Utah hidden food place too as it is nestled in between actual homes in the avenues. So if you are looking for new vibey restaurants in slc Utah to try then you MUST check check Wildwood out! It is honestly one of the best restaurants in slc Utah. Yelp
Personally found the menu to be a bit limited and the food we did order was mid at best. I don't want to be too harsh because I can see the appeal, but I personally didn't like the food very much. Got the Mac n cheese, wings and the cheeseburger which were all recommended by our server. For American style food like this I'd go to one of the bars downtown instead.

Nina P.

Yelp
Great neighborhood restaurant for food and drinks. They have a small outdoor patio with a fire pit and multiple heaters. It was a very nice place to sit and enjoy our meal. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Nacho, our server, was great. He answered all of our questions about the menu and was perfectly attentive without being overbearing. The food was delicious. We got the mussels and frites, fried chicken, tri tip salad, and beignets. All of the food was amazing, but the fried chicken was our favorite. It was unique paired with raisins, but the flavors meshed well. The chicken was crispy, juicy, and extremely flavorful. Overall, amazing place for dinner and would highly recommend.

Chuck L.

Yelp
Mussels were terribly salty and had to be sent back. Steak was tough and fries soggy. I was embarrassed to take my colleague there.

Allison B.

Yelp
Great patron, salads were delicious, server provided excellent recommendations! I'll be back!!

Jenie T.

Yelp
Took my friend out for her birthday, thinking it was good. Especially since they had frog legs on the menu and I haven't had those since France. But they were nothing like those I had in France. Sad. We didn't even ordered the entrees. Paid the bill and left.
