Positive: Excellent location at the base of Snowmass with easy access to the ski slopes and plenty of great local restaurants. Airport shuttle pick up/drop off from ASE was punctual and efficient. Negative: This hotel is not well kept and is years overdue for a renovation - I last stayed in 2018 and since then the rooms have become more worn down. The bed and linens were clean, but various surfaces were dusty and I had to use some cleaning wipes.

I was a bit apprehensive after reading recent negative reviews about this hotel, but my stay was more positive than expected. Yes, there are some minor issues, but nothing that ruined the experience for me. Upon arrival, there was one front desk staff member who helped us check in quickly and efficiently. I did notice a sign instructing guests to call a number if no one was available at the desk, but luckily, we didn’t need to do that. The person assisting us was friendly and knowledgeable, which made the process smooth. Parking was plentiful, though there was a short walk to the hotel room. As some reviews mentioned, the building does have a slight musty and damp smell, but it wasn’t unbearable, and after a while, you get used to it. The room decor was straight out of the ’80s, which gave it a cozy, retro feel. It may not be for everyone, but I found it charming. The only downside was the heating system. Despite turning it on, the room stayed at a consistent 72°F, so it was a bit chilly, and I had to wear layers to stay warm at night. Also, as noted, there’s no AC, only heating. Overall, I would give this hotel 4 out of 5 stars. It’s not perfect, but the positives outweighed the negatives, and I had a comfortable stay.

Wasn't that bad. Yeah, the place needs some renovation and basic room maintenance (wiring/chords leading to one outlet and repairing the furnaces etc). We had a fireplace suite and the gas fireplace didn't work. But the room was bigger than I expected. Two mini fridges, mini wet bar, and microwave in the main bedroom! Though I didn't find out until 2:00 am (New Years eve) that the sofa bed didn't have sheets/pillows. The service and front desk are accommodating though and very friendly. The price for this location is unbeatable. Don't expect 5 star accommodations. The clientele here is not the jet-set type and stay there to ski and exchange info about where to go etc. which is refreshing considering where you are! Hot tub (only one of the two working) was HOT...but jets were out. Pool was heated and working, people were chill and good to hang out with while soaking with the snow falling down. You won't meet people like this "next door" at the 5 star resort owned by the same company. They do give you Ski-valet with them and share some amenities with the other resort. All in all a good experience and saved HUNDREDS of dollars to be able to stay in the village over the New Year Holiday. Be nice with the folks at the front desk and they are very accommodating. I would give it 5 stars, but not having sheets for the sofa bed and paying for a suite with a fireplace that doesn't work knocks off a star! But considered what I payed for a suite and be able to ski out the door... I cant complain too much.

Google
It's not the most comfortable place but it does the job if you are only going to sleep. It's an old hotel so expect the rooms to be old as well. The place needs to improve their security around more. Because anyone can go in and out of the premises. The location is great because it's adyacent to the Snowmass Mall and it's near bus stations. The service was really good and they were super collaborative and kind.

Google
Terrible place to stay. We stayed for x games and they overbooked our original room we got and paid for so they sent us to their team member rooms. When we first got there at 9am on Friday the girl at front desk was rude and had an attitude and could not help us at all and said we couldn’t check in. Even though she had rooms available and I saw other people checking in at 9am. The room they put us in had not been cleaned and I attached photos. The rooms also had no hand soap and neither did their lobby bathrooms. To add on they also didn’t even know where the room they put us in was… not worth the money and they didn’t even corporate with me to give me my money back. Everyone working there doesn’t really know what’s going on and service was terrible. The location was great because we needed to bus to x games and the bus was right there so it was convenient . I recommend not staying here and staying at the other hotel behind them called vivvene I believe that is their sister hotel. I may be wrong but if it is their sister hotel how can one place be so nice and other places be so bad?

Google
This is easily the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The hotel itself is not bad and just a quick walk from the slopes! But I’ve had nothing but problems with the staff. When we arrived, we were 10 minutes early (3:50) they told us we can’t check in until 4 o’clock. Then they charged my card for the room twice. I’ve been working with them patiently to get the money refunded and today when I was on the phone with them (10 days after I’ve been already brought this to their attention) the manager hung up on me. Really pathetic service. Very disappointing. Would definitely recommend staying somewhere else

Google
This place is a dump!.....out dated, from the the decor to the bathroom. Noisy!!!! You can hear people stomping around above you and your next door neighbors, talking. We got here Christmas Eve, heater didn't work. Maintenance guy in and out of our room to try to fix it. We ended up with a space heater. No hot water on Christmas morning, no one can take a shower. They charge $30/night for parking if you want to park across from the hotel. Otherwise, parking is down the hill then a shuttle bus ride back up the hill. This place doesn't even qualify for the title "Resort" Oh, and one more thing....the deadbolt on the door wouldn't lock. There's a screw loose on the base plate that I had mess with just to get it to lock.

Google
What an absolute sh*#thole. |Bed used with dirty sheets. Towel had yellow stains. Rotten food in the fridge. Stains in the walls and the furniture was disgusting. I’ve seen better couches in the side of the road. This has to be the worst hotel rooms I’ve have ever witnessed. The pictures online are NOT what this place looks like. False advertisement!!!!! I am mortified. GTFO

Yelp
I'll start with the positives: Location Price Parking Friendly staff (when you could find them) Comfortable bed Hot and cold water Hot tubs Cold plunge (swimming pool) Negatives: This is where the local employees stay. It's an cheap apartment complex for staff. There's nothing wrong with sharing a "hotel" with employees except the hotel is run like an apartment complex without staff or towels or a cleaning crew for paying customers. As guests, we were ignored. The icing on the cake is we were charged a resort fee. Seriously, if you need to be near Snowmass or Aspen and only need a bed, a toilet, and a hot shower: bring a towel, your own fan, drinking water, and toiletries and this place is a total bargain.

sue p.

Yelp
The hotel is in a great location but the service you receive there is not worth the price. I can deal with the outdated rooms, but that does not bother me. We were not given transportation from the airport like we should have been, we had to take the city bus. Thank goodness it was free. The room had a contact lens stuck on the tub, and a broken disposable razor on the floor. Razor since up. NO service whatsoever while we were there. We had to go to the lobby to request towels and amenities. towels were brought up, I asked the young lady for the rest of it and the Hispanic male housekeeper called me a puta. ( bitch in English) Needless to say, no tips for this housekeeper and that stay.

Laura N.

Yelp
What an absolute sh#%hole. I don't think I've ever walked into a room that is more disgusting than the one they gave us. Bed was gross and had dirty sheets. Towels were yellow and had stains. Foul rotten food in the fridge and food left randomly in the room. I've seen better furniture on the side of the road. I am absolutely repulsed. WHAT A DUMP GTFO I'd rather sleep under a bridge.

Lex S.

Yelp
I must've got lucky because my tub was pretty clean compared to many of the other reviews and pictures I saw lol. This is fine if you need a place to sleep and shower, but don't expect anything else at all. It's not very clean, the staff is super non existent and it's a little run down in the way that it's not very well kept. Location is pretty good and you can take the bus to Aspen. Walking distance to a few good restaurants. This place is mostly a dump. The sheets and bedding were clean, but I had to not think about what the mattress probably looks like lol.

Yelp
THE CHECK-IN Process is ridiculous. Honestly it's worse than a Motel 6. Our flight arrived at Noon the front desk refused to accommodate us by letting us check a little earlier. Honestly, this is terrible. To the owners.. please pay attention to this. It's wrong. I do a lot of traveling for business and skiing it's terrible! This has never happened to me anywhere in the world. Front desk staff was joking, laughing, and F ing around instead of getting me in my room. It's a miracle I was able to stay cool. It's not a good way to get visitors started on their vacations. This can simply be fixed by getting people out of their rooms and having the hotel staff begin preparing the rooms as soon as people check out. Keep in mind people fly into this location and sometimes flights are not available on their schedule. Learn to be more accommodating after you are in the hospitality business.

Shawn G.

Yelp
Dirty! Dirty rooms, dirty halls. Windows don't close. No screens on the windows. Bed was so uncomfortable. LOW budget motel.

Willy C.

Yelp
I give this place ZERO stars. We stayed 4 nights. 1st day shower no hot water. No hot water in a Colorado state USA ski resort at $250/night. What? Room service zero. I had to ask for clean towels the 2nd day. Think twice before you book a room here!

Raj P.

Yelp
I read the previous reviews but did not believe it. The whole place does not have AC!! They give a box fan which is so loud you can't hear each other in the room. You cannot check in at the hotel but need to walk down the road to another hotel to check in. Everything looks dirty, it's like staying in a run down motel. So be aware before you book.

Virginia P.

Yelp
Awful. No one answers the phone. No one at check in desk. Terrible beds. Parking too far away. No breakfast. Half the restaurants are already closed for the season. Nowhere to eat breakfast. Won't be back to Snowmass or Aspen. Like I said most awful hotel I ever stayed at.

Jun G.

Yelp
This place is creepy and hearing some wierd sounds at night time. Couldn't even sleep that well. Not worth it to stay here for your experience.

Anwar O.

Yelp
I guess if you expect this place to be worse than any hotel you've ever been in, you'll be pleasantly surprised. Heater broken, no desk attendant, the disorganized way any questions were answered, arbitrary cleaning of dirty rooms...just like what everyone else says. This 1 star doesn't mean I'm upset. It just means that they don't do the things 2 star places do. It was a good location and the lights worked most of the time. And hey! there were no bugs!

Kelli V.

Yelp
No service which is fine but no microwave, refrigerator,no air conditioning had to force window open with no screens. Room smells, doors rusted shut to ice machine which looks disease infested. Can hear bar music on 2nd floor. Buyer beware make sure on amenities if it isnt specifically listed it isn't there.

Stacy B.

Yelp
Is there a star rating lower than one? Where do we start. The entire property was filthy. We arrived early and understood that we couldn't check in. However, was told it would be ready in an hour and that I'd get a call. 3.5 hours later, long after check in time, still no call. Also, no one works here. You have to call a neighbor resort and they slowly send over an incompetent staff member. So we finally did check in, and our bathtub and toilet were full of dirt and grime. The toiletries were used. I informed the front desk immediately-by a miracle, she was still there- and she did nothing. We came back three hours later. Needless to say, we will not be using the bathroom and will be leaving asap. Also, one of the hot tubs is drained and full of trash. Rooms smell disgusting. Staff is rude and unable to perform job. Also the key card maker was broken so we weren't given keys! Do not stay here.

Rich H.

Yelp
When I go to book a hotel, I always wonder, WHO are all these people going out of their way to write a review online? So what if you didn't get a mint on your pillow? Well now I have to own up to being one of those people - this place is that much of a disappointment! - No hand soap or toiletries of any kind in the bathroom. - The toilet makes a great commotion when you flush it but only washes away about half the water in the bowl. Super gross! - There are 3 light switches on the wall in this room and none of them do anything (???). There's also an extra outlet cover on the table which I hope isn't missing from anywhere important. - Room was 80 deg F on arrival. The only option to cool it is a cheap box fan in the window, but you have to keep all the curtains open (on a ground level room) to access the window that opens. Thermostat has heat only. - No refrigerator in the room. Front desk seemed surprised by that but couldn't do anything about it. Took 2 staff members to figure out that they did in fact have an ice machine. The ice box provided is about the size of two soda cans, so holds less than that if you plan to add, you know, ice. - Only one towel holding on to its last threads for dear life. - One coffee pod, no other supplies, had to restock from the front desk. I think this place blew their whole budget on their website because not a single thing lives up to the advertising. Do yourself a favor and find someplace cheaper that's at least being honest about being a crappy motel.

Chris F.

Yelp
Literally EVERTHING could improve except the location. Do not waste your money. If you must, stay near Snowmass base village rather than Snowmass Mall.

Min Y.

Yelp
This place was so rundown! There was a big hole right after we got off the elevator. Two of three lights in the room didn't work, they only gave one small towel for the room, whole place was so dirty. Don't stay there! Pay a little more to stay at a much nicer place.

Erik E.

Yelp
This place was better before the renovation. They at least had two beds next to each other. Now it's a bunk bed set up. So someone has to climb on top of the other bed. Such a terrible idea. The person who was in charge of that decision to have bunk beds instead of two beds should be fired. Never gonna stay here again. It was such an inconvenience to climb up and down to sleep. The mattresses were even worse than I remember. The the renovation was a fail. Don't waste the money.

Perrin W.

Yelp
Ok, I don't know why I see so many bad reviews on this place. Honestly, I LOVE this spot! They have great food, pool table, foosball, a good place to read and sit by the fire.... Anyways, I don't want to give away all the great parts because not many local places left. Absolutely great service! Luisa took great care of us and she was just an all around great server and bartender!

Lena C.

Yelp
A place to sleep and that's it. No AC in rooms and rooms are not thoroughly cleaned. The hotel offers box fans for the room which is nice, but it does not cool the room down past about 75 degrees. Location is awesome for going to the shops and bus stop. We alerted the hotel staff of the fact that the toilet stopped working less than 24 hours into our stay, they said they would send someone to repair it but never did. We ended up having to only use the bathroom in the hotel lobby or at nearby restaurants. Don't recommend unless you're okay with very dinky!

Tina E.

Yelp
Here are just some of the highlights you enjoy if you stay at the Wildwood Snowmass: * No A/C in an 85 degree room! * No screen in a window that is low enough for someone to step into the room from the outside! (especially not safe for a woman traveling alone) * A cheap plastic fan to circulate 85 degree room air! * Unfinished light fixture in bathroom! * Evidence of someone's dog (I hope it was a dog) trying to eat it's way out of the bathroom! * Musty smells and evidence of water damage! On the plus side (seriously) * The bed and linens were clean and comfortable and if it wasn't a sauna or I could have opened the window, I can see where I might have gotten a good nights sleep. * The location is fabulous, just a walk down the steps to shops, restaurants, and the gondola. * Despite what other reviewers said, the gentleman who helped with my check in was very courteous.

Jasmin G.

Yelp
Horrible place to stay. DO NOT STAY HERE. Extremely dirty and run down. I used to work at a four star resort in California and this place is horribly ran and the housekeeping manager and manager should be mortified. It's possible for a run down place to be clean and still be a nice stay but this is far from that. We arrived into our room and it was disgusting. I am not exaggerating. Night stand was dirty, no air conditioning, fan is broken, Walls are dirty, shower had hair in it, table is dirty, and many other disappointing things. We called to complain to mention only two of these things and they said housekeeping would come. They have not arrived Yet and it been an hour and a half. I wouldn't wish for anyone to stay here.

Pam E.

Yelp
We stayed here three nights. Very disgusted. Non-existent check-in process was ridiculous as apparently it is not worth having an actual staff person at the front desk, ever. Per sign of instructions there, I tried to call neighbor property Viewline Resort. My cell phone didn't work in location, so had to find Viewline and walk over. Once we were in the room it was not very clean (dust on surfaces, actual blood splashes in bathroom), one solitary towel, and when we requested two sets, got partials. Only the TV was actually plugged in, refrigerator did not work and had to be replaced. Room felt like a poor Motel 6 just with better TV. Second day when we came back to the room - locked out. Had staff member come from Viewline with keys, "assuring" they were good for 2 nights. Next day, came back to the room - AGAIN locked out. Tried calling Viewline, letting phone ring and ring - no answer. Went over there (again) where there was no customer activity at front desk, so that wasn't a reason for not answering. Good grief. And I'm sorry, but it is distressing when as a customer one is trying to communicate with staff members and simply cannot understand them. Politeness on their part is great, but learning to slow down and enunciate clearly would certainly be more helpful. The swimming pool area was lovely, but other than that this was beyond disappointing, particularly as it was the priciest place on our trip. Would never stay there again.

Yelp
Oh boy where do I even start! I have mixed feelings about this place, and here's why: Pros: 1. Convenient Location This lodge is located in the snowmass village, where all the shops & ski lifts are conveniently located. It's nice to be able to just walk over to the lift, or to walk home to take a breather after hours in the slope. 2. Super Cheap Aspen is pretty pricey, but this lodge is relatively affordable 3. Excellent Staff We really appreciate the customer service here! Its actually why I'm giving this place a 2-star instead of 1. Cons: 1. The place is super old. If you dont mind cracked bathroom tiles, questionable carpet, and semi-working TV- then all is good. 2. Everything else outside of our room seemed to be broken. The vending machine was broken, not all the washing machines were working, and we had issues with our room key. 3. Loud foot steps - we were on the second floor and omg, every so often we would hear loud thuds from upstairs All in all it wasnt the worst hotel experience I ever had, although I'm most likely wont come back. Cheers!

Elis R.

Yelp
Take your money elsewhere. The pictures that are viewed on their website are absolutely deceiving. Rooms are nothing like what they advertise, I would even call it false advertisement. Cracked furniture, missing vents on ceiling, no ice machine, refrigerator didn't work, and AC would not cool or heat. On top of all of this mess, a front desk worker (not the Hispanic female, she was lovely) told us to wait for 15 minutes to check in and she would call us to get our rooms. Well an hour passed and she checked in about 8 other people so we went up to ask about our rooms and she says "oh your rooms were ready 30 minutes ago". Would have been nice to been kept informed.

Matthew S.

Yelp
One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. Piss poor circulation and no air conditioning made for a miserable night. Very little parking. Holes in doors and walls covered up with duct tape. Uncool vibe. My buddy had a red fox enter his room after midnight because he left the door open to try and cool his room down. Expensive for what you get, which is nothing good. Staff was rude and uncaring about everything we asked about. Dope smoking going on inside of the hotel. This place is just wrong!

Sarah R.

Yelp
In summary: Overpriced, well-past it's prime, and the staff could care less about you. In detail: Not the worst place you've ever stayed, but the worst place you've ever paid this much money for. The site photos are inaccurate, while the photos from Yelp reviewers are spot-on. My bathroom has cracked tiles, the shower knobs are loose and spin without effect. The phone is missing 1/4th of its buttons. The trash can is a metal bucket. There are holes (either kicked or burned) in the back side of the TV stand. The Lighting is terrible - a bunch of cheap Ikea light cords hung from the ceiling and at both bedsides, and with those little black light click switch on them. The lids to the styrofoam coffee cups (for the Keurig) don't actually fit the cups (amazing no one on their staff has figured this out, but it speaks to the lack of attention to detail). Service is also pretty poor. Honestly, would give this place 3 stars, but have to take at least one away for the staff quality. They just didn't seem to give a ****. The front desk takes their sweet time to answer the phone, and I received wrong information twice. The noodle bar is so convenient, if only it was ever open. And no ability to do late check outs? It's an easy walk to the ski storage and slopes, but they don't keep up with the walkways (ice-covered... until it rained). The elevator was also broken for half of a day, thought it did get fixed. Had some friends staying at the Westin, which looked much nicer. Better amenities, nicer rooms, closer and more convenient to the shops and slopes.

Sheila S.

Yelp
Stayed at this hotel for the jazz festival. We checked out a day earlier than our reservation due to my husband's illness. We were told there would be a refund. They did not keep their word. No refund.

Jenee F.

Yelp
Wow. This hotel is in one word..."yucky." First off was the horrible smell that hit me when I opened the door. Yikes. Some staff were friendly (maintenance guy when he showed me how to open the window to my room cause my room was hotter than Satan's underparts)...but I couldn't hardly sleep because I was terrified someone might slip in my window because there was no screen or anything on my window! The gal at the front desk was not helpful a when I asked her some questions about the area...I think I asked "are there any hiking trails close by the hotel?" She looked at me like I had 3 heads and said she had no idea. (Lawd help!) And to top it off - I just got home and realized they charged the wrong credit card. SO FRUSTRATING!!!

Robin W.

Yelp
Very disappointed with this facility. Unable to check in on arrival, 30 people in lobby waiting to check in, we are told the room wasn't ready and had to wait. Staff not helpful. Elevator is as slow as the staff. Difficult to get to room even once we got it and then the freaking key didn't work! Although the room thermostat says it has a cooling system and it's "on" but the room doesn't cool. I called the front desk and was told no rooms have AC. For what we are paying, I think Quality Inn is looking mighty good. Btw, ugliest decor I have ever experienced.

Veronica G.

Yelp
The most disgusting place I've ever been to. It's dirty and everything it's broken. Nothing looks like the pictures they have online. I don't recommend this place at all.

Nick M.

Yelp
AVOID. Reservation made weeks ahead.. showed up to check in and my room was given away. No call, and even spoke to the staff earlier the same day. Luckily a hotel 20 mins away was available. Not how I was looking to spend our Snowmass vacation driving 20 mins to the mountain each day. Unbelievable..

Nicole A.

Yelp
Photos online can be very deceiving. Stains everywhere within the hotel room. Shower didn't work while we were there and they gave us a discount. We paid in full at the time of reservation, and then they charged us again a new discounted amount because there "was no card on file". Ended up paying for our stay, and then another half because of this "discount" customer service is downright awful, and it has been two months since the time of stay. Super excited to be out an extra 800 dollars personally because of the lack of communication and carelessness of their team. Avoid at all costs.

Rachel C.

Yelp
We enjoyed this place. I saw so-so reviews online before booking but the price was unbeatable esp for a last minute get away. We don't need or expect much. Just a cute place to rest between mountain biking days. I agree the reception service was below par but not rude. It felt more cultural to me, which I understand. Some reviews call the decoration "outdated" but I love it. I think that's their theme and I'm into it. Comfy bed. Hot water. Fridge in room and pool and hot tub. We were happy!

Lucky B.

Yelp
It's conveniently located at the plaza in Snowmass. So if you're out here to snowboard or ski, it's perfectly right by the slope. And during spring season, it's perfect for walking around the plaza. The rooms are nice with its modern style. The bed is comfortable enough. Nothing special though. However, the walls are very thin. You can hear the next door flushing their toilet. But the price and location of this hotel makes up for it. Updated: i took out one more star from my rating. Because i just found out they don't provide regular coffee pods in the rooms. They just have the decaffeinated pods and they have the regular coffee downstairs by the lobby. I mean, that is just ridiculous.

David K.

Yelp
100% Non-Responsive Management Wildwood Snowmass is roughly what you'd expect for an older ski resort. Dated room decor, the views are nice, and it's right next to Snowmass Village. However, with that said, from our experience, ***management is completely unresponsive*** when it comes to rectifying problems they caused. Here's what happened to us: When checking in, there were no parking spots in the check-in area, so the front desk staff (who are actually very friendly and helpful) told me to park outside, and that we would have 15 minutes to be there while checking in. After checking in, I returned exactly 10 minutes later to my car, to find a $40.00 parking citation. The front desk staff assured me that evening, and the next day, that it was a simple misunderstanding, and that the manager would take care of it with the parking authority... ...10 days, many voicemails, many emails, and multiple phone calls later, the manager (Allen H.) has yet to return any of my calls or emails. He simply refuses to acknowledge any contact. Over a $40 citation that he could easily clear up, according to the Snowmass Village officer I contacted. Thus, although I normally don't do this, I'm posting a very negative review. - Disappointed In Denver P.S. They may try to dispute the above, but I can provide documentation for every single thing: * The documented checkin time and documented citation time are exactly 10 minutes apart. * I have recorded audio of multiple conversations with the front desk staff and manager on duty, promising that the manager would contact me and clear this up. * I have the records of each of my contact attempts via phone and email over the last ten days, with no return contact.

Sarah M.

Yelp
Do not stay here!! Only had to stay one night & jeez it was terrible. It's about 24 degrees out and there's NO heat. 65 temp in room. Using their portable heating fan. Small, outdated, very noisy hotel. But hey you get what you pay for.

Kevin C.

Yelp
Lost our reservation had our booking agent on the phone they still couldn't work it out so our agent got us an upgrade at the timberline where they showed us what customer service is supposed to look like. Didn't seem to be our booking agent as the lobby was filled with a bunch of frustrated people.

Robin M.

Yelp
This is the grossest hotel I've ever stayed in. My bathroom door was broken and they had duct taped it! So loud as well - you can hear everything going on in rooms above and around you. It's really disgusting - doesn't feel clean, very dated, lots of stuff in room doesn't work (light switches, deadbolt) and the front desk staff are awful. No one was even there at 7am to help book a shuttle to airport. But then, with no staff help, you call the shuttle number - and no one answers! Stay at the Westin instead - a few steps away. This place is the WORST!!!

Wesley H.

Yelp
The people at front desk do not speak clear English so it's hard to understand them. The gentleman that checked me was difficult to understand, and I did not think he was being very helpful. My room was hot as hell and there's no air condition in it. It's took forever to finally have them bring up a van for my us. We did not know check in was until 4 PM, so we got here two hours early and sat in the lobby twiddling our thumbs. We had to go downstairs twice to get our key card to work. Do not think about using the elevator, there is only one and it takes 20 minutes for it to work. It might be better during the winter, but the summer is not that great.

Yelp
This place was a disappointment! The service was super bad the decor was 1960-70's at best. It was run down, elevator was broken, rooms were small and out of date and the grounds were unkept. Just a high let down for the price how it got 4 stars is beyond me! Try anywhere else before here.

Yelp
This is not a place you pay for quality, you pay for location. The location is absolutely perfect, close to the gondolas, the mall, and tons of great restaurants with great happy hours. However, the rooms are pretty gross. There was hair inside the conditioner containers in the shower, hairs on our towels and the pool was bright green every day (which means the amount of chlorine is less than the urine and bacteria). There was hair woven into the towels. The toilet unstable and rocked back and forth. It also leaked blue liquid. No AC! There were no pool towels. We ran the Spartan race and when we got back at 1:00pm we asked for new towels since our room wasn't cleaned yet. It's took 2 hours to get any towels. I had to go find housekeeping myself to get some. The beds are not too bad, the pillows are kind of lumpy. Again- you pay for location. There were also weird pictures on the walls. There was also a resort fee- $11 a day, it may have been worth paying a little more for a nicer place.

Yelp
Great value for the price. That is perhaps the best summary for Wildwood at Snowmass. Judging by reviews I thought this place would not have heating or be extremely dirty. Those reviews are blatantly wrong. The room for the price is decent and it steps away from the Snowmass Mall and the slopes. The rooms have some questionable decor but if you come to Snowmass is to spend the days skiing. Room smelled clean and while the bathroom does feel very dated, it meets every standard a hotel room should. Our room had a small fridge which was excellent for our toddler. The most annoying part was taking to separate elevators to get to our room but besides that there weren't major issues. The surroundings were quiet and no crazy partying like other reviews have mentioned. If you're looking for a decent and cheap place to stay, while coming to see and enjoy what Snowmass has to offer, this is the place for you.

Yelp
This place is an actual dump and needs to be shut down. The front desk staff is EXTREMELY unhelpful. The phone in our room never worked. We had to call down multiple times because our thermostat and heating/cooling wouldn't work. It took hours for someone to finally come and fix it. The pictures online are incredibly misleading as I walked in and felt this place hadn't been updated since Ted Bundy kidnapped one of his victims here at this very hotel in 1975. We also had an issue with parking where our license plate was written down wrong by a staff member and not only had to pay the hotel parking fees for every day but also got two tickets that the hotel refused to take care of. Thoroughly unimpressed and would urge everyone to spend the extra money and go to the Westin.

Yelp
What a dump. This place has not seen any real maintenance in a very long time. Holes in the walkways covered with plywood curling up on the edges, Everything is in need of a coat of paint. Washers and dryers don't work but will take your money. Laundry/ice/snack machine room was filthy. The pool was in good shape but both hot tubs were "Out of Order." No staff response about partiers at the pool being loud very late at night when the pool was supposed to be closed. Shower/tub valves worn out. Toilet ran all the time. But...the room was well appointed with lots of storage and hooks. Small refrigerator & TV worked well but there was no microwave. Most of the hotels here do not have a/c but there was no fan to blow in cool air from the window. I was WAY overcharged for this 7 day stay. Some of the staff were indifferent to the problems, others were not. I've stayed in nicer places in third-world countries.

Yelp
Not sure why this place has so many bad reviews. I thought it was very quaint and quirky. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because there were drunk people yelling at the pool at midnight and we called the front desk but they didn't do anything about it. As far as the place goes, yeah it's older, but our room was very cozy and clean and everything was in working condition. I would stay here again.

Yelp
Worst hotel I've ever stayed. I called multiple times to change me reservation. Was forwarded to a different number. No one answered. No one called back. The bathroom is dirty, the drawers were open, bonus hanger. service at the restaurant was hands down the worst I've ever experienced. Overall great time.

Yelp
The pictures of the rooms are NOT what the rooms look like! Also, there is no AC! It's a maze to try and find your room. Lastly, the blanket folded at the bottom of the bed had an ant crawling on it when we opened the blanket to cover us!!! This place is disgusting! Do not stay here!

Yelp
If I could give this "motel" less than a star, I would. After booking through Expedia because it was one of only a handful of options left in Snowmass during the JAS festival, I booked their least expensive available option -- which with tax was $363.00 -- on a Sunday although to be fair it was booked six weeks in advance and for Labor Day weekend Sunday. They certainly jacked up the rate which is currently a few days later $110. I checked into the hotel, was put off by the shoddy paint job on most surfaces and the poor condition of the place. We got a corner room which was above the pool. We went to our event in Aspen and returned to our room at 12:30 or 1:00am and realized there were numerous people in the pool. I spoke with a young man who worked there who said they had been asked to leave and kept returning to the pool and hot tub by climbing over the fence. We went back to the room and realized we didn't have two bath towels and requested more. It was suggested we try the linen closet at the exterior end of the building and basically get our own. When we explained there were only sheets, they made a big deal over the fact we wanted towels and they were running out. We returned to the room and went to bed. There was one small bar of soap which is unusual these days for hotels and there were dispensers for liquid soap in the shower. The actual space allotted for the toilet and shower is similar to a water closet and there is not enough space to put a bath mat down unless folded (to understand how small it is.) The noise continued uncontrolled and unabated so we called down to ask what could be done. The male front desk person indicated frustration and said he didn't know what to do. We asked if there was a different room to change to and they said they were completely booked. In terms of style, I thought I knew what to expect and it was ratty but they have attempted to modernize the appearance by spray painting in a very amateurish fashion brightly colored accents to hide the age and poor conditions. I can absolutely forgive it being run down, well used, under funded and shoddily staffed or supplied. What I can't forgive is the broken glass by the pool, the dog poop INSIDE the locked pool area, and as a dog lover - am appalled that a guest was allowing his poor dog to run freely inside the pool and hot tub enclosure and unsupervised. The owners were too drunk to supervise their dog who was a victim of neglect in this situation. I attempted to address the poor conditions, endless noise and partying with the front desk and manager. I have called three times and was assured by Marge that Fernanda the manager would return my call. I don't expect perfection. I do appreciate if they would allow me the opportunity to understand what transpired and why their staff refused to control the after hours pool usage and to a lesser degree the lack of basic towels. I asked if there was a business center to print a two page document and was directed to the nearby Westin - their business center is run by a third party and you can log on for 15 minutes for $10.95 and two dollars per page printed. It was better than no option to print and the concierge and staff at The Westin Snowmass were more kind and helpful than where were were (supposedly) "guests"... to date, I've called Expedia three times and the hotel numerous times to try and at least compromise on the rate. I have been told because they have "no record" of my noise complaints, they will not (as communicated to Expedia) do anything from a customer service standpoint. I guess not addressing complaints or losing them or not having a reasonable conversation regarding pool rules is one way to handle it. However as of 9/6, I've gotten no response from the site or management. This place is rough, not clean and tacky. Understandable if you get a cheap rate - however not for $364. I beg you to avoid this place and sidestep the issues I had with their unprofessional "management" of this hospitality option.

Yelp
This was probably the worst hotel I had been to. The customer service there was horrible, they had so much attitude to answering our questions. When asked about air condition in the bedrooms, the manager gave us so much attitude about "its not a priority". Worst encounter ever, will never go back. (Shouldn't even deserve a rating)
