Wildwoods Trailside Cabins, Lodge & Restaurant

If I could give this no stars I would. First, when I asked if we could sit upstairs the waitress told us that they only sit people upstairs if downstairs is full. Then the waitress proceeded to sit people upstairs even when there were tables available downstairs. Next, we went on a Saturday solely for the advertised prime rib night. When we were seated and asked for our drink order the waitress didn’t bother to tells us that they were out of prime rib on prime rib night. The waitress took our order @ 5:45 PM, and not until we ordered prime rib when she finally informs us that they are out of the nights highlighted dish. We were forced to find something else on the menu. Anytime we asked a question about the menu she acted annoyed. Then it took an hour and a half to get our meal. Tables that came in after we were seated were getting food before us. Finally when the food arrived my broiled haddock was at best mildly warm, rubber, not seasoned (flavorless) and dry, my husbands bbq ribs were not even ribs but a pork chop with barely any meat, no seasoning and no bbq, his baked beans were cold and his coleslaw was warm and it smelled sour and the cornbread was raw and doughy. My children’s scallops were rubber and my son got stomach pains and became violently ill after eating a small amount of the said coleslaw. I literally walked out while my family tried to choke down their meal. This was the worst experience I ever had in a restaurant in my 54 years. I have absolutely nothing good to say about this restaurant.

We ate at the restaurant here twice during our weekend getaway this past weekend and had a fantastic experience both times! We sat at the bar and the service and food were excellent. The prices were very reasonable as well. We loved the rum runners! We will absolutely be back the next time we are in the area!

My sister and I rented a cabin because we had to be in town for a family funeral and could not have been more pleased with the accommodations. Our family is down on Schoodic. Very comfortable and very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend! Unfortunately, we were there on a Tuesday night so we were unable to visit the restaurant, which I have been told is wonderful. Thank you so much!

Favorite stop when out trail riding! Excellent food and service!

I stayed here for the 2024 solar eclipse and couldn't recommend this place any more highly. Sherry and her family are amazing people and helped us at every step of the way. The lodging and amenities are super comfortable and everything you need. The stars, forest, grounds, and the lake down the road were all spectacles in there own right. I can't wait to come back and visit. Thank you so much for making the experience unforgettable.

Great service and great workers and pulled pork sandwiches are great

My sister and I stayed here for one night recently. The owner was very accommodating and we fully enjoyed our stay. It was very convenient to Schoodic Lake, which was important. The cabin was very clean and had everything in it we needed. We would recommend this place to others.

Well was the second time I've been there. I went a few years back for my birthday & it was good. That was upstairs in the restaurant area. So this last time we decided to dine in the bar lower part area. Our server was very nice I really liked her. My burger which I wanted as medium was over cooked & party burnt so I didn't eat it or was charged. That happens I get it. The main thing which makes me even want to give zero stars was another waitress working. We watched her hug a married man very tight right in front of his wife. Then as he was ordering she used the back of her pen to play with his shirt hair behind his ear swirling the pen as his poor wife watched not knowing what to do. The man turned bright red. Mind you ni hug for the wife nothing. Then the waitress later then hugged another man for a very very long time and then went to the first man and hugged him all over again. We could tell it made he poor wife very uncomfortable. They had just got their food and the lady didn't even want to eat it at that point. The waitress was a young blong with long hair in a ponytail at least 20 years younger than the men she was horribly flirting with. Where we come from if she were to do that she would get floored. In seeing this it totally ruined our experience. Even after we paid & we're driving home we still were talking about it in disgusting how she was doing. The man she hugged for a long time was talking to the one at the table next to us with his wife talking about how he oued her $50 for the bug hug and how it's worth it while the poor woman sat there so very not looking like she even wanted to be there anymore. If I would've known then personally I wouldve spoke up for the wife. It honesty made me sick and extremely angry. At first we thought maybe their related until she started playing with his hair behind his ear with her pen making it difficult to think straight and order. I honestly wonder if she's a part time hooker on the side. Seeing this was extremely unprofessional and I fully believe for her to have the actual nerve to do this to the men there and especially in front of their wife is appalling! She should be fired. I know that for sure we will never patronize this establishment ever again if she still works there. If I had came there with my husband at the time that night I can promise you she would be picking up her teeth off the floor. Otherwise a somewhat friendly attitude, warm I love the cabin woodwork and reminded me of home and things I'm used to being from Yosemite. Please don't let anymore of your female customers go through this seeing the blatant disrespect. We felt so very sorry in seeing the wife sit there feeling so embarrassed and not knowing what to do. Seeing how this woman made this lady feel actually made me so angry that we called for the check and left without finishing the food.

10/10. Amazing food, great vibes, drinks are delish, and service hospitality is top notch! The cheese curds were SO GOOD and I forgot to take a pic of my pulled pork sandwich when it arrived because I was so excited to eat it. Thank you Chris!!! We will be back.

Great Clam Chowder! The owner is so nice! We were out riding the trails and stopped by when they were closed. She very kindly let us use the restroom and then served us delicious hot soup on a cold day! What a sweetheart!!!

We love visiting Wildwoods when coming out to camp on Schoodic Lake. Our favs are the fried haddock & the chicken pot pie filling. Friendly service & top notch food. Hidden gem for sure.

Great place to enjoy a drink with friends and family. Great snacks and some good food.

A f****** joke of a place. Masks required to enter building...yet a table of ten right beside the entrance had NO masks. Table of 3 on the other side of the entrance. NO MASKS! Refusal to serve us because we didn't walk 5 feet past the entrance with a mask. You are a grave disappointment, we will not be returning.

Really neat place out in the middle of nowhere. They have quite the menu and a great cabin like bar. We really enjoy making this a destination when we are riding on our Side X Side. Good spot for a meal and a few drinks. They even sell gas to get you back home

Had Lunch there with friend. I had the biggest, sweetest Sea Scallops deep fried (6). Best on Maine. Matt had Fried big belly clams also excellent. Great Bloody Mary's and a beer.

Great place to have a drink and a bite to eat while snowmobiling. The prices are affordable and the owners are friendly. From what I could tell Moose truely owns the place and is nice enough to let Cheri (the human owner) hang out. As mentioned the food was affordable. It was also very good, had boneless hot wings and Poutine as an appetizer.

I've been to Wildwoods several times when visiting Maine and the food is excellent and the services is always as great. I've had the Friday evening fish fry and it's excellent fish served in as many servings as you want, it's all you can eat. I've breakfast here and it's quite good and other meals ordered from the menu on nights other than Fridays. Everything here is top quality and the service is excellent.

Back for the first AYCE Friday night fish fry of the season and glad to say things are still as they've always been at Wildwoods, excellent! As per usual on Friday's, I had the AYCE haddock, broiled (I find the broiled version is tastier, especially the way it's prepared) and they are willing to substitute extra cole slaw or mashed potatoes if (like I do) you want to avoid fried food altogether. First time having Hannah as my server, she was very friendly, polite and attentive, checked in several times to ensure everything was great. Was able to finish 3 servings of broiled haddock and the wait time was very short in between each, each arrived hot and fast! Took home a slice of cheesecake w/ blueberry topping, also delicious. Looking forward to more Friday nights this summer at Wildwoods!

LOVE LOVE LOVE This Place. Cheri & her son Chris & Chris's girl Amanda are the great people I have ever meet. Now for the food It is HANDS DOWN THE BEST AROUND. From the fish fry to the fried Clam (The best I have ever had) Steakboom, wings, anything you get will be AWSOME it has been 2 year since we have been back to visit our old friend & I can t not wait to see you all again & have a couple of beers CHEERS See you all real soon

Ok, the food was ok. Not impressed about the serving size for the price. The atmosphere was friendly but that was mainly due to the customers not the staff. I hardly ever saw my waitress and the food took almost an hour to come out. I know they can get busy but the problem was there was only one other table that was ahead of us everyone else had rheir food. Yeah, i got up and was nosey and looked around. On the plus side, there is a nice dog there and the bathrooms are very clean. This is a clean restaurant. Not bad, but not great, maybe if they could figure out how to get the food out quicker, i would come back but dont count on it.

Not what we expected. Serving sizes were small. We were hungry when we left. Expected more from a maine restaurant. They make good food, it's just at a flat lander price and a flat lander serving size. Too bad! We would have come back.
