A good brunch spot in Argyle area. Loved the service and atmosphere but didn’t like the food. The fries weren’t as good, a bit pricey but portion size is generous. Would like to come back and try a different thing. Vegan and vegetarian options available!

The first thing to hit you would be the friendly staff that welcomes you as you stepped into the restaurant! This pace is always full! But the staff does a very good estimation of when you should come back. Interior decoration is extremely cosy. Coffee is free refill! Not those watered down coffee but a fresh brew coffee! The garlic chilli is punchy! Really refreshing! Food wise, nice presentation and taste wise, i would say..... Homely restaurant feel.

Great spot for brunch, food is delicious and they are quick service. The place is a bit small so don’t come here if you have a big party as they do not take reservations. Also make sure to have cash or debit on you as they don’t accept credit cards. Prices are fair and everyone working there is so kind and friendly. Definitely would recommend!

The restaurant is small, but cozy—think "intimate dining" without the awkward silence. We did have a 45-minute wait, but trust me, it’s 100% worth it.
What really set this place apart… The staff's allergy awareness. They didn’t just hand us a menu and hope for the best.. They knew their stuff and could rattle off everything we could eat. And get this: pretty much everything can be made gluten-free! This kind of attention to detail is rare, but so appreciated.
Now, onto the food. I had the duck egg Benedict, and my husband had the poutine. Both dishes were literally what food dreams are made of—if dreams were incredibly delicious and slightly decadent. Even the potatoes were the best I’ve ever had? The best part… All the ingredients are locally sourced, which made me feel almost guilty but in the end, it’s a good reminder that supporting local farmers never tasted so good.
And let’s talk about our waitress… Steph (Stef?) was a rockstar. Not only was she hilarious and super knowledgeable, but she also had great recommendations for other local spots. Plus, she kept the refills coming faster than we could ask for them.
Speaking of drinks, we both had a coffee and a Caesar - and yes, they were just as delicious as everything else. Our total came to $80, which might seem steep for breakfast, but when you consider the locally sourced ingredients, allergy-friendly options, and the fact that you're basically being fed by culinary wizards, it’s a bargain.
It’s a real tragedy I live 6 hours away, or I'd be back weekly. Until then, I’ll be dreaming of you, Wilf and Ada’s. 🥂

I Recently went here to get breakfast with a good friend of mine. They have a no reservation policy, so we did have to wait, but it was so worth it.
The service is fast and friendly, and the food is immaculate. I got a full breakfast, and it was made perfectly. My friend got the same thing and had the same thing to say about it. The prices are fair as well, in total it costed about $50 + tip for us to eat. They offer gluten-free, dairy free, and peanut free options and are incredibly accommodating to dietary needs/restrictions.
The food is from local artisans and farms, and they sell sauces and other food related items from local artisans and a perfect price.
The only note I would make is that it is fairly crowded and hard to hear the person you're with/server because of the volume of people in the restaurant, understandable though, the food is amazing, and the prices are even better.

When a place takes as much pride in where and who they source their ingredients from, even putting their names up on a chalk board above the kitchen, you know they're confident that they're doing them justice. And oh man are they ever.
Everything from the local jam and the salad dressing, to the eggs and sausage, not only tastes amazing and is perfectly prepared, but you can actually just taste, smell, and see that they are prepared with simple fresh ingredients.
The staff knows what they're doing and do it well. I mean look at these sunny side up eggs. Come onnnnn. Bless them to the ends of Bank Street.
Cash or debit only and no reservations. Kinda love it cause it feels like they really take the whole "local" thing seriously even in that respect.
No doubt it keeps prices as low as they are as well, because this breakfast with tax and tip cost me $26 (I just had water to drink).
This corner of Bank with Arlington Five, and Go Gi Ya is lowkey a stronghold of quality food and good small town vibes in Centretown.
