This Underrated U.S. Wine Region Should Be On Your Radar This Summer | Vogue
"An underrated goldmine with fertile landscapes and a burgeoning wine scene, known for its Pinot Noir wines and more than 700 wineries. It offers a rustic, down-to-earth experience surrounded by natural splendor, sandwiched between the Coast Range and Cascade Range." - Nicole Kliest
Salt Creek Falls at Willamette National Forest is an absolute gem! The hiking trail to the main viewpoint is paved and fairly easy, making it accessible for all levels. There’s plenty of parking, and I really appreciated the designated picnic areas—spacious, peaceful, and even wheelchair accessible. It’s both kid-friendly and dog-friendly (just remember to keep your pups leashed and happy!).
The waterfall itself is stunning and powerful—photos don’t do it justice. This spot is a reminder of how beautiful and refreshing nature can be. Just a friendly reminder: please pick up after yourselves. Let’s keep this area clean so that others can enjoy the same serene and gorgeous experience.
Highly recommend stopping here if you’re in the area!

Even after the fires Blue River is a exceptional place to visit. This was my first visit we stayed at a non pay camp site. I feel in love.

Very dog friendly. Trails are well maintained, though they can get a little mucky. The scenic viewpoints and abundant water features are absolutely stunning. (Saw 4 lakes in less than an hour driving.) Outhouse is what you'd expect from remote forest locations. Even so, they could probably clear the spider webs a bit more frequently. (My arachnophobic kids refused to enter)

I've been to every corner of this Forest. It's my favorite place on the face of this planet. Rushing rivers, shady groves, and mushrooms, steamy hot spring adventures, and magical hikes. The Willamette national forest has it all. There's no place like home!

Beautiful park with two large waterfalls. We got to witnessed a group of kayakers dropping down them. Easy hike for all ages and bathrooms located at the entrance.

Mountains, forests, lakes, streams, rivers, waterfalls, birds, fish, trails, campgrounds ... This huge National Forest has them all, and lots of them. The people are friendly. The few restaurants have good food. The roads are busy, winding around the hills, but well kept. If you're a camper, kayaker, fisherman, this is a go to place.
