Welcoming staff and a colourful, wonderful range of useful and gift products for adults and children. Support your local business.

Bought a lovely cat print from this shop, everything inside was up my alley! The only downside is the way the store displays its goods makes the space rather cramped and takes away from the aesthetic. But overall wonderful products!

Every time I visit, I'm impressed by the quality and originality of the items on offer. The store itself is beautifully arranged, making it a joy to browse. A shop which feels like we are back without actually remembering its name, that’s what William Topp was to my hubby and I as we returned to this corner of William Street after 11 years… we just like its selection of artsy collections, its cool vibe and for us an added tinge of nostalgia. Till next time, hope to find you there again :)

Welcoming smile of the owner, her willingness to help you find a perfect gift and great range of high quality merchandise plus novelty gifts make this store/gallery so special. I had a pleasant visit earlier today and the lady helped me finding a lovely fountain pen (authentic German made). I am quite happy with the range of their supply and how patiently the owner helped me to find the one. Definitely will visit again and happily recommend this store to all my friends.

On my WA Roadtrip, I went to the store on 1 May and aimed to visit again to buy doormat before going back to Melb. Sadly, my plan got changed so there was no opportunity to visit before flying back. Full of unique and lovely products. Definitely visit again when I'm in Perth!

Google
Beautiful shop with lots of aesthetic looking products but always feel judged by the owner if I’m just having a look and feel like I’m being watched closely as if they think I’m about to steal something which I would never do but I’m always paranoid when I go in that shop which is a shame as l really like the products there. Owner also seems annoyed when I don’t plan on buying anything yet as times are tough but I don’t think I will go back there again as the atmosphere makes me nervous.

Google
a beautifully curated store - full of delight. I buy something on every visit - gorgeous earrings; cologne you can't find anywhere else; an art print. I have my eye on some of their stunning glass vases. And the service from the owner is always friendly. LOVE this store.

Yelp
I'm a sucker for a good gift store, and William Topp is certainly one of them. I love paying a visit when I visit Perth as there's always a great array of gifts and homewares and it always seems to be evolving and changing. It's hard not to buy bags and bags of goodies to take home, as a lot of the items I've not seen before in Melbourne. There's a little of something for everyone, but it is all carefully selected and curated so the store feels full and cohesive. I love the locally made ceramics and jewelry selections, the kids toys and the gifts for blokes who are notoriously so difficult to buy for buy here have loads of appropriate options. Visit for one-stop shopping for your entire family.

Yelp
If you're like me and love cute little ornaments (that don't necessarily always have a function) and home wares that people will question and comment about, then you will love William Topp. Their motto is refound and refine and they collect objects from international and national designers some vintage some modern and I guarantee that these lovely finds will bring back memories and create a little spark. I have a serious love affair with their tinned toy robots they are simply gorgeous and then they have more vintage toys, cute crockery, prints and cards and everything else. So if you love cute things and little knick knacks visit William Topp you will be happy to add a new favourite on your list.

Yelp
I'd forgotten how great this place was when I found myself back here on the weekend, mooching about for some Christmas gifts for those family members a little harder to choose for. The variety of products in this shop is astounding. You can do a couple of laps and see different things each time. From man things to lady things to kid things, gadgety things, unique things and the downright strange, you'd be hard pressed not to find something for even the most difficult of recipient. I managed to knock off three gifts in one fell swoop. OK, so I might have bought the same thing for two different people, but it still counts. I could have bought a heap more things for myself, but was restrained. (I'd only just checked my credit card statement - yikes!). Perhaps the service was just a tad pushy, but I can understand the enthusiasm when your shop is jammed with some pretty great stuff. What I thought was a terrific touch, that you really appreciate and associate only with small local businesses, was that all my purchases were wrapped prettily - for free! Big tick there. It's at the quieter end of William Street, not far from the intersection at Brisbane Street. There are some really good food options nearby (Dough for pizza, Okay for Vietnamese, Red Teapot for Chinese, plus other cuisine options including Indian, Thai and African) so it's worth wandering up there. Parking is free and easier up this end of Northbridge, too.

Yelp
So which end of William Street is the top of William, William Topp? First you open up a store on the northern side of the horseshoe bridge which already had us giddy with excitement like Alice swirling down the rabbit hole. Now you've gone and opened on the immediate southern end of the horseshoe bridge and we're just not sure which of your wonderful stores is the better. Ah, why bother comparing and contrasting: we can count on you to lend a sense of variety in each shop. This one here stocks cool Scrabble logo-ed crockery, the cutest Jack-In-The-Box toys, bright colourful melamime plates, and Pantone miscellanea to satisfy the seriously minimalist aesthetic desire that occasionally overtakes even those with more flamboyant of tastes. I'd read on here that this was only a pop-up shop for the lead-up to Christmas but it was still operating swimmingly when I dropped in, in early February. Give it till Easter? Or is it a stayer? You, the consumer, must decide.

Yelp
Spurred on by the preview of things to come in the William Topp pop-up shop in the middle of the city, I put on my walking boots and hiked right up William Street to number 452 where the William Topp HQ is located. And boy was I rewarded for my efforts! While the smaller shop had shown me enough delightful trinkets to whet my appetite, I was ready for the main course, and I feasted on all the bric-a-brac goodness WT had to offer. It has everything you don't need and everything you want - amazing stationary too beautiful to write in, lustworthy handmade jewellery, curios, trinkets, gadgets, graphic designer's dream crockery (you'll know it when you see it), a small selection of useful books and so much more that's difficult to categorise! Highly recommended as a 'not your run-of-the-mill' gift shop*. *Note: you'll only want to buy gifts in here for yourself.

Yelp
William Topp is the sweetest little shop. It is just down the street from where I live and I find it very difficult to walk by without stopping in for a look around. AND I find it very difficult to have a look around without finding something I MUST HAVE. From a world map where you can scratch off the places you have visited, to children s vintage toys to beautiful jewelry there is something for everyone. Perfect gifts for those who have everything :)

Yelp
Every time I walk down William Street, I always find myself drawn to William Topp. Whatever it is, there is a strong pull into the store. It feels similar to being tugged by the heart strings. There is an abundance of trinkets catering to the young and to those with a young outlook on life. There is no doubt in my mind that anyone with a quirky side would adore a purchase or gifting from William Topp. This is my go-to place for cards to send back to the USA. They have "scratch-off" cards that reveal an underlying picture. Quite a cute concept and definitely out of the ordinary. The place is packed with shelves and tables galore. Take your time and mosey around. You never know what may be revealed by picking up something. In fact, this store caters to those that must touch everything. Don't forget to look up, as the walls are lined with talented artists. The store clerks have always been helpful and informative. I also must compliment whomever does their store windows. It is certainly "topp"-knotch!

Yelp
William Topp is the kind of store that makes me want to bludgeon people for bemoaning Perth's lack of shopping. Alongside the usual vintage fare you'll find in Northbridge's boutiques is some fairly awesome jewellery. I picked up some cool re-purposed bullet ear rings here for $50. Score! I spent quite a while choosing them and talking with the store clerk about how great it is that stores support independent designers, which just goes to show how patient and personable these dudes are. I'd like to say that it's the perfect spot to buy a gift, but honestly, I really just wanted everything for myself. Being the retro fiend that I am, I loved the hand knitted tea cosies and old bus signs scattered throughout (and displayed on retro furniture, of course). Their stationary was also very cute as well, but not any different from what you can find at the myriad of other stores in Perth that have their quirk factor finely tuned. Their jewellery is really where it's at though. Lots of re-purposed items, hand-made goods, wooden bracelets, leather cuffs and cuff links made from type-writer keys. A kooky haven of trinkets for unconventional types!

Yelp
WIlliam Topp is my one stop shop for gifts to send back home to the UK as you can always find something that 'shows off' Aussie design. I really like the range of Melbourne designers you can't find elsewhere. I bought some quirky pillowcases with illustrations printed and made in Melbourne. There are lots of gifts suitable for friends who are creative or who like to support local talent but also plenty of choice for people who already have 'everything'. They also have a great selection of quality wooden kids toys. They cover gifts for men, women, kids and nannas! I usually find it easy to park outside or from here you can park and walk into the city passing the other great stores on William Street.

Yelp
Wow, it may be because I have a deep love for children like things, or perhaps the fact that they make it acceptable to not only like, but buy childlike things without feel like a fool. Stationary is something that I love to be fun and childish, so pirate pens and colourful staplers. This place has some amazing things, just bits and bobs that I seem to have a problem saying no to. If you love gimmicky things like fridge magnets and ordainments, then this place is for you.

Yelp
William topp is where my heart went pop! If robots, pirates, priceless stationary, funky magnets or classic book are your scene then you should simply throw your credit card on the counter and go nuts. I giggled, I played I absorbed and I almost cooked (reading this gorgeous children's book about a penguin that wants to learn how to fly- turns out penguins don't like flying very much. . . at least not when they're being shot out of cannons!) The price is a bit xxxx-ier than some but money is of no object when there is so much magic afoot! The service is great, the artistic vibes are buzzing BIG time and the wooden spoon card is classic. This is an all occasions shop- no occasion is no excuse not to pop in. If you can escape without a purchase you have done well (but good taste eludes you!)

Yelp
Keep walking up William Street, past where you think all the shops have come to an end, and you will find William Topp. Step through its door and you will enter a world of contemporary design, quirky homeware and trinkets galore. Vintage items from the 70s and 80s rub shoulders with modern items from all over the world, as well as Australian made and designed items - a glorious gallery of bric-a-brac. Last time I went the shop assistants were unpacking a delivery, and you could tell that they were as excited by the new arrivals as us customers were to see them - it felt like Christmas. Some of the star buys in here are the quirky handmade jewellery, and some achingly gorgeous handbags, hand-stitched in Argentina. This is the perfect place to find a gift for that impossible-to-buy-for person we all know.

Yelp
This is a place for anyone with a creative soul. The random assortment of goodness sold at William Topp will have you giddy. There is something there for everyone, whether you're a retro geek, an unusual jewellery hoarder, or into funky modern designs. It sells everything you could want to turn your house into a home and give it a bit of your personality along with it. If you're looking for quirky and exquisite gifts for someone, and after something special and unique you're not going to find at a shopping mall, then William Topp is the place to go.

Yelp
William Topp is one of my favourite little stores to pop into when heading into northbridge. It has some really great little gift ideas, cool artwork and nice jewelry that is usually different to what you see elsewhere. There is something for everyone in this store! But one of the main reasons I'm giving it 5 stars is because of the service there. The people that work there are so nice and friendly. The lady, who I presumes owns the place, is so nice and always willing to help out. I bought a speaker from there last December and a couple of months ago it just stopped working and wouldn't charge properly at my house. I didn't have the receipt and as it was about 8 months after I bought it I doubted that I could get it exchanged but thought i'd go chat to the lady about it anyway and she was so helpful- unlike most other stores which would just turn you away! She took the speaker and took it back to her house and fully charged it up and played it for the four hours the battery life lasts and called me up and let me know it must have been my plug that wasn't working so I picked it back up and its been working ever since (after I chose a different power plug). I just thought that was amazing customer service especially compared to many other places in Perth! Highly recommend for gifts for others or yourself!

Yelp
OMG I love this place!!!!! I have been searching for Christmas presents for the 'hard to find for' people i.e. my mother, walked in here out of the blue and didn't want to leave. It has a great mix of items, including the unexpected. Modern and vintage objects, toys and trinkets, reminders of being a kid while also finding the items you know would make a great present. Will be going back, it will be hard to resist not to.

Yelp
When it comes to awesome one-off finds for the home, this place is king of the hill, top of the heap. The pieces ooze character from the various decades and countries they hail from. Hand-stitched plush toys, vintage-inspired wind-up toys, rockin' stationary, captivating wall art, all the things you didn't know you were looking for are right here. If you're looking for an interesting gift for an interesting friend, William Topp is a failsafe. Prices range from 10 to 300 dollars plus, and designs are sourced from Portugal to New York and beyond. Even if you want to treat yourself to something special, I'd recommend a morning of indulgence searching through the treasures here. You'd have to be soulless (or good at suppressing nostalgia and joie de vivre) to not make at least one gushing noise at a William Topp thing.
