Willow House Inn Bed and Breakfast

Fantastic experience. Brenda was welcoming, showed me around the house as well as the town. My room was tastefully, decorated, and bed was very comfortable. Next morning, I woke up for breakfast, it was fit for a king, delicious! I also had a problem after I left, Brenda was nice enough to call me and tell me that I had left some things behind. When I returned, I explained that I was lost and Brenda spent several minutes with me to make sure I had a safe journey to my next location. I highly recommend staying there, and will do so again when I’m in the area.

From the warm greeting at the door from Brenda my husband and I loved this B&B instantly. Our room was absolutely beautiful and super clean. A lot of thought went into every detail in the decor in the room. Our breakfast was 5 star complete with freshly baked muffins to go. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting with Brenda and her husband George while enjoying our breakfast. We highly recommend this Inn as the best place to stay when visiting Pictou, you will not be disappointed.

We had an amazing stay at the Willow House Inn. Brenda and George were exceptional hosts. The Inn is beautiful and homey. We stayed 3 nights which was perfect. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfasts were delicious and we loved chatting with other guests. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed exploring the town and the nearby beaches. Stay at Willow House Inn! It is the best.

The Willow House Inn is a beautifully decorated heritage building full of so much character. The owner/operators give it their extra to make sure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable.|There is plenty of parking in the rear where there is also a fire pit with large swings for everyone’s enjoyment!|The breakfast room is a great way to start your day as the food is so delicious and very satisfying!!|Our room overlooked the harbour and has a big beautiful comfy bed. The bathroom had all the amenities and a shower with plenty of pressure.|Town centre is a short walk away to great dining and museums!|We had a very relaxing and comfortable two nights stay at the Willow House Inn thanks to Brenda and George and their down home hospitality!!

We chose the Willow House Inn for our two nights in Pictou because of its high ranking on Google Maps. We were so happy we found this B&B. It is an easy walk to town centre and nice restaurants. Brenda and George go the distance to make sure your stay is enjoyable! Breakfasts were delicious and filling and the spacious swings around the fire pit made our day when Brenda and George joined us for some story sharing! Good times!! If ever back in Pictou this is definitely were we’re staying again!! This heritage building is beautifully decorated and very comfy and homey with a welcome atmosphere.

Brenda and George provide a really great experience, with beautifully equipped rooms and an excellent home cooked breakfast. Some lovely touches, such as the bags for taking our breakfast muffins for the journey. The B&B is perfectly situated in the centre of Pictou with restaurants and bars available nearby. Stopping for just one night seemed a shame as Brenda and George made us feel so welcome.

The inn was a fantastic place to stay for 2 nights, as part of a larger road trip around Nova Scotia. Although Pictou itself is quite small, there are several places to visit nearby, and it was a great staging point for a few different day trips. The waterfront area is beautiful and the town has a lot of fantastic places to sit on the water and read a book and enjoy the view. There is a lovely cafe in town as well. As we were traveling from the southern/eastern coast to begin several days in the north/west, this was a perfect place to pause for an extra day and recharge. Brenda and George were fantastic and friendly hosts, the rooms were very well-cared-for and spacious, and breakfast was delicious. There was a fantastic outdoor patio/lounging area with bench-swings, and the waterfront was right outside the door. Restaurants are limited in town, but New Glasgow is right nearby if you're looking for something more. This is a fantastic place to stay if you are anywhere near Pictou.

The Willow House Inn is the finest place to stay along the Northumberland Shore. Hosts Brenda and George go out of their way to make their guests feel comfortable, welcomed and refreshed. Brenda was on top of arrangements leading up to our arrival. The room was spotlessly clean and spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable, bright and well-decorated. The ensuite was well-stocked (including bubble bath!). It was very warm one evening and Brenda had a fan brought up to the room. It kept the room cool at night. ||The highlight of the stay were the delicious breakfasts. Each morning there was something different. There was lots of laughter and friendly conversation around the breakfast table. Brenda and George, alongside being amazing hosts, are incredible chefs. From granola to homemade scones, French toast and frittatas, the entire stay (5 nights) was amazing. I cannot recommend this inn highly enough. ||Each day, Brenda prepared suggestions for sight-seeing and each one of them turned out to be amazing. The PEI ferry is less than 10 km from the inn. The whole experience was great. I've already recommended the inn to some friends who want to visit Nova Scotia in the autumn. If you are staying anywhere along the North Shore, I highly recommend this inn. Nothing compares to it!

The Willow House Inn is a great bed and breakfast. Jaime and Debbie, the innkeepers are so friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. Their recommendations for itineraries and restaurants were spot-on. The rooms are good sized and furnished with wonderful antiques. The bathrooms are tiny with European style stand up showers and little room to move around. They are clean and serviceable. Rooms have cable tv, phones and wireless internet that is quite fast. The breakfast is out of this world. Servings are prepared for each guest as opposed to casserole style as seems to be the norm at other b&bs. Make sure you ask for a room on the water side of the inn, as the major road is quite noisy on the other side.

We went here a couple of years back for our anniversary, a great spot, very friendly hosts, they sat up with us drinking for a long time, great conversation! The rooms are large and well decorated (so says the wife, it was clean and comfortable to me!) since it was our anniversary they were kind enough to give us a complimentary bottle of wine, very thoughtful and nice of them, it was greatly appreciated! They have TV's with cable, phones and WIFI. The breakfast was out of this world, they prepared Eggs Benedict for us, I would have gladly paid at least $20 each for this meal at a restaurant, the food just kept coming, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, juice, etc. Amazing older home with lots of character, tastefully decorated, friendly folks and great food, it doesn't get much better!

We picked the Willow House Inn at the last minute when we got off the ferry and decided we were too tired to drive any further. It turned out to be the best decision we made all trip! The inn was nice, clean, convenient, affordable, and most of all friendly! The owners offered up advice for places to go for dinner, things to see the next day, random stuff not to miss on our trip, and just some great conversation. Best of all, the breakfasts were amazing!! It was amazing to come downstairs and get a gourmet breakfast (fruit stuffed french toast one morning, eggs benedict the next), plus homemade pastries and plenty of other random things for any picky eaters. We stayed for an extra day even though it added an extra hour or two to our drive because we liked it so much. I definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Nova Scotia!
