A superb lunch ! Though Michelin guide is not in Australia, I’m sure if they were they’d give this restaurant a well-deserved 1 star ! The environment and view is obviously great. You can have a wine-tasting before the lunch which I do recommend. The service was just perfect, everyone was so kind and professional ! The pacing was great too. And then food… just perfect ! Starting with a perfect butter and bread. The scallops was so good, same for the meat. I asked (before coming) to change some things in the menu as I don’t like fish which they did, and it was so good. The restaurant feels like French cuisine, or at least Western European. I’m French and it reminded me of fine French restaurants. I highly recommend it. It’s worth the price (189 AUD for the signature menu). It’s a really a nice experience in a nice environment.

Great lunch at a very picturesque location. The fish was perfectly cooked and the dressing was not overpowering. The potatoes were a celebration and even the salad was stupendous. Roberto kept our glasses topped up and was ever attentive, polite and professional.

We hoped for a better first impression. It’s a beautifully presented winery with stunning location and views — we were really looking forward to our visit. As first-time winery visitors, we may not have fully known what to expect from a cellar door tasting, however we did find the experience itself a little underwhelming given we travelled three hours to attend. On arrival, we waited at the entrance, in sight, for a short time before approaching the attendant to show our reservation. The tasting felt quite self-guided, and we would have appreciated a bit more explanation or guidance through the wines, particularly as newcomers. It seemed we were limited to only trying 6 varieties, but it was hard to understand. We weren’t made aware of any food options following the tasting and later asked about dining, only to be told the restaurant was fully booked. After requesting a menu, we did enjoy a glass of wine and some bar snacks, however we noticed several vacant tables in the restaurant during our visit, which made us wonder if dining might have been possible and probably the better venue experience. One piece of feedback that may be helpful is around wine sales — we weren’t offered the opportunity to purchase any of the wines we tasted, either during or after the tasting. We did want to purchase, but as the cellar door was lack lustre we didn't want to drive a sale ourself. Overall, the setting is exceptional, and with a slightly more guided and welcoming cellar door experience, it could really shine. For future visitors, I’d recommend booking the long lunch option if available, or pairing the visit with another nearby winery if the cellar door experience is the main focus. Lunch tasting menu was great! Well deserving of 3 chef's hats. Tried the 2014 Cuvée D'élevage Cabernet Sauvignon and it was truly a pleasant experience. Bought a few bottles home. Ambiance and service was amazing too.

Visited here twice and the wine tasting experiences ($15 per person, redeemable with wine purchase) never disappoint. Loved the smooth and elegant Paladin Hill premium wines, especially the Matrix. During my last visit, I was attended to by Claire, who was knowledgeable in her introduction of each wine. The discounted prices offered for international shipping were also reasonable. I ordered 12 bottles back to Singapore and I was suprised it arrived three days later (even before my arrival back home) - thanks to the efficiency of Claire and her team. And not to forget Billie the cute and friendly dog. I will be back for more wine in the future, and also for a dining experience in the restaurant.

Simply superb! Congratulations to the entire team. We spent a wonderful time at this wine estate and restaurant thanks to the quality of the products, the menu, the wine, and above all the staff. Exceptional. That’s all…simply exceptional. Service, food, views, ambience, all of it. No words. We will continue to dine here every single time we come back to Perth which is at least once a year.

Great view and nice restaurant setup. Great food in terms of taste as well as thought put into the food. Missing star due to flies being really annoying when you sit outside and staff brushing it off.

Lovely cellar door. Ask the staff if you can try the cuvée d'elevage sparkling Chardonnay Pinot noir ($45) as it is fantastic. They also have a sparkling rose on the price sheet but not tasting. The mystic spring semillon Sauvignon blanc is not on the tasting menu either but I was offered to try it. Very dry and light. The 2022 eightfold Chardonnay is surprisingly light and creamy. My friend tells me this is a fabulous place to have lunch as the view is beautiful and the food is to die for.

A sunny spring afternoon, fancy lunch at Wills Domain, and a generous family member covering the bill. My life is awesome! Our 'feast menu' started with bread and moved onto potatoes scallops - double carbs, yessss! The kingfish tartare was singing with Asian-inspired flavours. It was somehow meaty and decadent, but still light and fresh. We also shared plates with gorgeous fields of flowers and crispy chicken, plus I loved the honey-soaked baby carrots. Weirdly, the cauliflower was the most exciting plate in the already stunning first course. I have no idea how they cook an entire vegetable so perfectly. So delicious with the miso drizzle on top, pickled red cabbage, and pool of creamy dressing hidden underneath. The beef short rib was a meaty mammoth, paired with a wickedly smoky puree and crunchy charred cucumbers. Lamb ribs were crispy, spicy, and well-cooked, but the dish was a little dry overall with raw radishes and cucumber underneath (the juicy triangles of shiitake mushroom saved the day). We ordered a birthday cake - everyone had at least 2 serves! There were ooohs and aaahs as we discovered layers of chocolate parfait, fruity ice, and salted caramel semifreddo. Bonus points for the glamorous dark chocolate glaze and gold leaf touches. The feast menu costs $65pp excluding drinks. I'll definitely return to Wills Domain for a fancy winery lunch next time in the Yallingup area.

After a lovely scenic drive of lush greenery, vineyards galore and the occasional threat of rain, we were hungry and desperately needed to make a decision on where to eat lunch. I think I will forever find this decision difficult, partly because I'm indecisive but also because I live in an incredible part of the world full of so much deliciousness which I wholeheartedly intend on eating my way through, more than once. We eventually agreed on Wills Domain, set on a picturesque backdrop of rolling hills and vineyard, this relaxed but fine dining restaurant was the perfect place to settle in for a couple of hours of indulgence. After the obligatory wine tasting was complete and tummies were rumbling we were keen to get the food started. We decided to just go with the a la carte menu but with the enticing offer of 5 and 7 course menus, I'll just have to go back! To start we shared the incredibly sculptural looking potato skins with squid ink and prawn mousse as well as the cured hiramasa kingfish with mushroom, cucumber and roe. The potato skins were one of those intriguing and slightly strange dishes that suddenly become super moorish the more you eat them. It was like a work of art and a great value 'snack' to get us started. You know you're in good hands when you order an entrée to share and it arrives at the table split onto two plates both beautifully presented. Lately I've become addicted to cured fish and this just added fuel to that addiction. Each bite was like going to heaven with those pops of salty roe bursting in my mouth. For main I ordered the braised and roasted Wagin duck with turnip and plum. The braised duck came in crispy brick pastry which melted in your mouth and the roasted duck, hiding under thinly sliced turnip and plum sauce, was succulent and tasty. The addition of the black pudding added something different to the dish which I wasn't initially sure about but amongst a little bit of everything added a depth of flavour. This was an absolute joy to eat, a knockout dish. My lunch date had the steamed snapper with calamari, kelp congee and brothy goodness. This was so pretty on the plate, looking delicate and nourishing at the same time. Perfectly cooked fish and another well constructed, well thought out dish with all the flavours coming together to enhance the overall experience. After a couple of very enjoyable glasses of Chardonnay (we tried the current release Cuvee d'Elevage Chardonnay and their 2009 Chardonnay) and not yet ready for our lunch to come to an end, we both ordered dessert. Before dessert we were presented with a lovely palate cleanser (from memory I believe it was cucumber granita and goats cheese) which I think is such a nice touch and adds that little something extra. The first dessert came out with a touch of theatre, some dry ice adding mystery to what was hidden underneath. A light but creamy dessert of lychee, mango, aloe vera and coconut that left you wanting it to never end. This was the ultimate summer taste sensation. The second dessert was another feast for the senses, another intriguing, sculptural, work of art. They totally nailed the 'wow' factor with these desserts. Fresh figs, white chocolate cremeux, honey snow and raspberry, put together in a completely unique way. I'm not sure if this dessert entirely tasted as good as it looked but it was such an interesting plate of food that I enjoyed every mouthful and the discovery that went along with it. Wow, I was incredibly impressed by the standard of food and service at Wills Domain. The food wasn't just tricked up and pretty to look at, it was considered, well thought out plating with flavour and texture combinations that just worked. Modern Australian food that is interesting, playful, mouthwateringly good and that starts conversations will always have me coming back for more. Put it on your list if you haven't been, you won't regret it.

This has got to be one of the definites if you are taking a trip down south. The setting is just beautiful, and I can imagine it's quite popular with weddings. We got the six course degustation and added the cheese supplement. I could not fault a single course. The formula seems to be: Snack Raw Garden - vegetarian course (Broth) Sea - seafood course Paddock - meat course (Cheese) Dessert Dessert Where the brackets are optional additional courses. My only criticism would be that, if you are doing a degustation then you may very well be a foodie and therefore interested in what is in each dish, and we found that most courses were just put down in front of us and the staff walked away without giving any explanation. I think this is possibly because a lot of people order the degustation and so they get sick of explaining it, but at the end of the day I think it is an important part of the degustation experience. Would without a doubt be a five star situation if not for the lack of explanations, so it's going to have to be four/ 4.5 from me.

Five stars for setting. Delightful staff, very professional. We started with the whipped Marron and potato skins. So tasty. Next we shared the marron, the potato gnocchi and the salmon all amazing flavours. Portion size a wee bit small. Wines perfect as expected in Yallingup/Margaret River region. Playground and kids menu. Views so perfect with sheep and galahs wandering through the vines.

Be sure to add this to your MUST DO list while visiting the South West Australia. This beautiful estate is very inviting and have one of the most gorgeous views to adore. The atmosphere is very peaceful and relaxed, the staff were welcoming and pleasant. It is decorated uniquely with very modern and cool furniture and accessories. I have always been a tough critic of toilets, and the calming Zen of the bathrooms (Let's not forget to mention the sound proof toilet doors) assured me that these guys have wonderful attention to detail when it comes to patrons comfort. We came here as a group to witness the 7 course degustation that was acclaimed to be pure genius, and the meals presented to us were Iron chef quality. We enjoyed being entertained by the skilful chefs and staff who presented our meals. The combination of ingredients, skill of cooking and entertaining meals is what makes the degustation experience the most unique in Western Australia. They also have some of the most unique herbs that are only grown in their garden added to our meals. Just to name a few of the outstanding meals we had were: - Honey and spelt bread - Squid inked sweet potato crisps (Pure genius) - Herbed crispy chicken skins with hummus paste - Smoked scarlet prawns, silken cuttlefish with wild nettle - Snapper Sashimi with Wills Domain berries and herbs with lemon mousse - Smoked rainbow trout, with potato noodles and celtus - Waggin duck (The most crispy and tender, well balanced meals I have ever tasted) - Nitrogen choc mint cake surprise - Rhubarb, sheep milk panna cotta ice cream with green herbs granita ... and those are just some of the dishes... This degustation is of great value, and you may have guessed that it is not simply just your ordinary 7 course meal. The team simply knows customised service and the art of food entertainment. I highly recommend and thank the wonderful team at Wills Domain for our "Out of this world experience" By far the best restaurant in Western Australia! I look forward to visiting you all again.

The most picture perfect view of two vine covered hills meeting perfectly in the centre of the view from your table. This place is quintessential 'down south'. The food was amazing. Wills domain places a big emphasis on local produce - and rightly so seeing as the region is home to some of the best produce in the world! Very light on starch on the plate (eg. a massive steak with literally 2 potato wedges) which felt slightly disproportionate. The pork plate for lunch was amazing. Pork three ways - pulled, pork pie, pork belly. The chardonnay is their specialty and packs a fruity, flavoursome and lingering punch. There is a children's playground outside so parents can enjoy their meal and watch the kids at the same time. This would be a fantastic venue for weddings. Go for lunch so that you can take in the view.

The degustation is 7 courses, with 2 supplement options; all with the option of matching Wills Domain wines. We added a10th course! It wasn't because we needed more food, though! Lance loved the Carrot & Quinoa Salad last trip & wanted me to try it. It was available ala carte, and they happily added it into our lunch for us. Our service that day was top-notch from all staff. They were friendly, attentive & so knowledgeable of the dishes & wines they brought us. It started with a sourdough bun & cultured butter, a glass of NV sparkling & 3 'Snacks' - crispy kale with wattleseed, mini herring tacos & fish bladder. The herring tacos were more of a tostada; the corn tortillas crisped up & the perfect textural counterpoint to the oily fish. The fish bladder was something totally different. The texture was similar to a prawn cracker, with that crispy/tingly/stick to your tongue awesomeness. It had quite a fishy taste, & when slid through the creamy fish sauce, it was such a unique treat. Rich & salty & went perfectly with the sparkling. Next was Cured Kingfish. The cucumber mousse & lemon curd were the perfect accompaniment to the delicate fish. This came with a 2013 Rose which treads that sweet/dry line, making it easy drinking & well suited to seafood. The Garden course paired heirloom tomatoes with various types of basil from their own garden. The flavours of each basil leaf are vastly different, whilst still maintaining the basic basil flavour that tomatoes love. This came with a savoury pine nut granola & one of my favourite things ever - mozzarella ice cream. The ice cream is intensely cheesy, whilst still being unmistakeably ice cream. It's perfect in this dish, but could also make an amazing dessert. Next was the broth supplement. This was a simple but delicious dish. A small marron, a few native fruits, sea spinach & a lovely jamon broth poured over it at the table. I uncouthly picked up the bowl to drink the last little bit that my spoon couldn't get! The Ocean dish was dhufish with silken cuttlefish draped over the top & a crunchy potato stack. The cuttlefish was a shiny black ribbon, slightly chewy in texture & quite mild in flavour. Definitely a novel way of serving cuttlefish. The matching Cuve d'Elevage Chardonnay was my favourite wine of the lunch. It has a wonderful butteriness in the mouthfeel. Paddock brought us a melt-in-your-mouth-tender piece of rump with a caramelly-charred baby onion. This & the fish both showcase how good the local meat & seafood are down south. Simply cooked & presented - the flavour is in the produce itself. This was paired with a 2010 Reserve Shiraz, my favourite red of the day. Then we had our extra dish; Carrot & Quinoa Salad. Beautiful multi-coloured carrots roasted to a tender, sweet but still fresh crunch, or peeled in long strips decorated a salad made of quinoa & various nuts & seeds dressed simply, & a few dollops of strongly smoky yoghurt dabbed around the plate. It was a perfectly realised dish. Each texture & flavour element bringing out the best in every item. If you don't do the dego at Wills Domain, I urge you to try this. It's so good! The cheese supplement was a Heidi Raclette, a Swiss style cheese, nutty & ripe flavoured. A fairly plain buckwheat cracker, a long, thin strip of apple & drops of intense almost-burnt onion jam brought out the cheese flavours perfectly. It was well matched with a Scheurebe wine First dessert was served with a 2008 Shiraz. The aging making an ideal mellow complement to the chocolate dessert. Being summer, instead of a rich & heavy dessert, this was a rich & light dessert. It consisted of 3 different balls, one a ganache, one an ice cream, one I think a sorbet, topped with a ribbon of beetroot. Beetroot & chocolate are a classic combo. Beetroot & caraway are a classic combo. Combining all 3 was spot-on. The caraway was subtle, the beetroot sweet & earthy, & the whole dish lively, despite it's richness. The final dish was an elderflower cheesecake with an oat cookie base & strawberries. This was an elegant, but ultimately forgettable dish as I can't really remember all the details. I enjoyed it at the time, but nothing about it stood out enough to gush about. The dessert wine was enjoyably sweet and light, not cloying. It had a nice floral tone to match the cheesecake. Oh, & the palate cleansers! First was an Apple Sour & one of the best drinks I've ever had. It was zingy & refreshing. It was like a cider with a dash of apple cider vinegar turned into a 'spider'. Apparently they have complaints that it's a little too sour, but I thought it was perfect. Add some rum & it would make an epic cocktail! The second was a herby sorbet. Basil, coriander & mint all mingled in your mouth, each flavour taking precedent at times as we tried to pick the herbs used. Our coffees came out with peanut butter salted caramel truffles. Just in case we weren't blown away enough already, these little bites were a perfect full stop

If you are looking for a great place to go for fine dining near Margaret river, wills domain is the place. We ordered our lunch from the a la carte menu and had the pickled fish belly to start. For our main we had the Wagin duck and miso glazed short ribs. As we wanted to share the main between us, the staff even offered to split the meal on 2 plates for us. To finish we had a complimentary pallet cleanser and the milk, camomile and honeycomb dessert. Make sure you book in advance as this place does get very busy!

I am one of those people that get a bit starry eyed with fancy restaurants that get into the big halls of fame. The holiday of my lifetime would be one where we travel around the world business class eating at the top ten restaurants in the San Pelligrino World's Best. In the weeks preceding our trip down to Margs I booked a table at Wills Domain, the winner of two stars in the West Australian Good Food Guide addition to the best WA regional restaurant of the year. The restaurant faces out onto the winery boasting 180 degree views of the sweeping vineyards. We both ordered the gin cured trout for entrée. Bright colours of locally grown heirloom beetroots, nasturtium flowers and pickles wound elegantly around the plate like a Spring garden bed. After a considerable wait for our next dish whilst surrounded by very vocal young babies, our mains finally arrived. Three solid chunks of Ningaloo Wagyu brisket were served plank style with fresh kale, parsnip puree and fresh orange. This was a very simple dish with each element done perfectly but I couldn't help but feel that this was a very safe menu choice and lacked the creativity and imagination I would have expected for a two starred restaurant. There was another fairly extended delay until our plates were cleared and another again before our smiley waitress finally brought the dessert menus out for us. Not quite the polished service I was expected. Overall, our meal at Wills Domain was very enjoyable however I cannot deny I walked away a little disappointed. I expected their service to be as polished as their food. Whilst our wait staff were dynamic and friendly, there was long waits between courses, empty plates remained on tables for prolonged times, and even though I made my booking a few weeks in advance, we were seated down the end of the balcony between two families with young children rather than in the body of the restaurant. If I hadn't built up my expectations due to their rating, we would have actually had a fabulous day and will have to go back again to see if this was a once off.

Will's Domain is located high up on a hill overlooking the Gunyulgup valley. FOOD We opted to be surprised by ordering "Wills Plate" ($65) and a side serving of fries. Bean sprouts is one vegetable I don't think should be eaten raw. I ordered a Chai Latte to finish off the meal and was surprised to find that it was literally Chai mixed into a Latte. Not a fan! SERVICE When my food is served I'm very quick to snap a photo and begin eating straight away. I worked from the top down and gobbled up the sushi and tempura in a flash. Only after I'd finished eating these did the waitress come out to bring the soy sauce, wasabi and tempura dipping sauce. She probably should have brought the sauces out first OVERALL The restaurant is located in a spectacular location with a great selection of wine for you to relax and have a leisurely lunch. Just a pity the food we had that day didn't match up with the beautiful surrounds so my 3 stars is an average of 2 for the food but 4 for the location and wines. Oh and there's an Art Gallery there as well for anyone interested.

By far the BEST degustation meal I've ever had and at such a reasonable price. It was $100 for 7 courses (which included two palate cleanses so it was really 9 dishes), or $135 paired with wines. Every dish was so good, I literally had no complaints about anything. The desserts in particular were amazing and each wine complimented the dishes so well. I've been to other degustations that are a lot more expensive than this and not nearly as good. The service was great as well with each staff member having a good chat with the group. I actually cant wait to go back and do it again. Highly recommend!

The food and view here is epic. Great location for a special occasion, but you're better off ordering off the a la carte menu. You'll still get to try a number of dishes but it'll work out cheaper. Highly recommended. Fine dining

Wills Domain was one of our first lunches in Margaret River. A friend made the reservations many weeks before our vacation. The setting is absolutely stunning and incredibly picturesque. We arrived at our 12:30 reservation with six adults and six children. Upon arrival, we were seated at our table. We were immediately told, "Service might be slow, we only have three people working today." I have a few issues with this. The first issue? They accepted this reservation. If they could not accommodate, they could have informed us. Second? There were only maybe three other tables seated, all of which only had four people or fewer at their tables. The immediate "greeting" or lack there of somewhat set the tone for the rest of the lunch. We started with our wines. Three adults split a bottle of Cab Sav, while the other three split a bottle of sparkling. The wait staff was not exceptionally helpful with wine selection.I found their menu rather pricey and a tad pretentious. A friend and I opted to split some appetizers and cheese and crackers. We saw other tables being given loaves of fresh bread. We asked for some as well since we had hungry children with us. We were told it would be a while as the bread was in the oven. That is understandable. However, by the time the bread arrived we were well into our meals. We were each offered one slice as we saw tables having full, large loaves given to them. The food was average, certainly not worth the price. The wine was average as well. Our children did enjoy it as there was a small playground and plenty of room to run. Though the setting was lovely, I think I will skip Wills Domain when I return to Western Australia. The service, food and wine were simply average, but they all had an extravagant price tag. There are so many lovely wineries with delicious food and impeccable service in the area that Wills Domain is certainly not a "must do."

Wills Domain is an absolute must when you visit this region! Incredible meals, wine and a fantastic view overlooking the vineyards. Very impressed with my last 2 visits here.

We didn't eat here, so I'm rating based on the wine experience. It was GREAT! We had a very knowledgeable wine master (I've just made that title up, and it's awesome) who was very friendly. Their Chardonnay was lovely, straight Semillon was outstanding (not many here do a straight Semillon), as with every winery in Margs the SSB was lovely. Also, the view was beautiful - all those rolling hills with vines on them that we all love...
