Small and quaint but well taken care of! Multiple water features and a fun interactive section for kids. Most of the plants are labeled. There's a nice Pavillion in the back with benches and a couple concrete picnic tables for eating, as well. There are facilities in the building.

Though it is small it is still beautiful. Well worth the few minutes to explore. Excellent for children. Including these 60+ year old children. There is no admission fee. They also offered guided tours.

I went to the botanical gardens about 3 weeks ago with my mother-in-law. I used GPS to get there. When we arrived I was a little confused as to where things were. I personally think the sign for it should be a little bit bigger. I think our visit to the gardens was in its off season, as a lot of things were being replanted and resurfaced. The parking lot had a heap of gravel for the walking path. Nonetheless, it was a nice little stroll and I could envision the place being even greater. when in full bloom.. It was definitely worth the visit and we have plans to go back, sometime in coming months.

Nestled behind the offices of the N.C. Cooperative Extension/Wilson County Center, this compact 6 acre garden features a nice display of plants, bushes, trees, art, and unique educational initiatives. Includes a children's garden and picnic tables. A perfect place to relax and an easy stop when visiting Wilson's Rose Garden, Whirligig Park, Lake Wilson, etc. Free. No pets. Open 365 days a year from dawn to dusk.

Very nice FREE little self-guided tour of local gardens. Loved the labyrinth with gong in the heart. Also enjoyed the carnivorous plant displays.

Smaller garden than expected, but it was a nice, enjoyable visit. The weather was a bit warm during the visit, but there were plenty of spots to sit and cool off.

Yelp
The Wilson Botanical Garden is wonderful and I highly recommend stopping if in the area or driving through. Admission and parking are free and weekdays there are restrooms available. The garden is a little deceiving from the entrance as it is much bigger than it appears at 11 acres. But was also so different than I expected. I started in the STEM Garden. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) There are carnivorous plants; solar power panels; a windmill; hydroponic plants; and a math area to calculate the number of plants. There are explanations of each area and I was very impressed and excited to learn something new. The garden is divided into areas to showcase the diverse plants like hosta; daylilies; and herbs. One area is for children but you can wander and taken in the all the different plants. I read that there were over 200 different plants. There is a beehive but that is fenced and has signage.

Yelp
I spotted the Garden as I drove through and my visit was unplanned. As such, perhaps I did not get to see the best of it. As well, it started to rain during my visit and I was unprepared for that. Some interesting trails and lots of greenery. Many of the trees, shrubs and flowers were captioned. Some of the paths are handicapped accessible but not all. Free parking and free admission. I'm a fan. [Review 15520 overall, 1024 of 2021, number 3062 in North Carolina.]
