What a great shop. Everything you might need for outdoor activities was there to the point it was almost surprising. We also rented e-bikes which made getting around Lake Louise and Moraine Lake an even better adventure and experience compared to taking a shuttle. It’s not easy to find peace and tranquility around those parts in August but riding to Moraine Lake with the road being closed to cars provided just that. You have to share the roads with the buses and shuttles but they all were almost overly cautious of us riding to the point they often wouldn’t pass us and so we would just pull over and let them pass. While not cheap the bikes were high quality and the pedal assist battery lasted us all day. We had a slight issue on our end returning the bikes and they were very understanding where they rightly could have charged us for the mishap. All in all it really worked out for us having such a great shop during our visit to Lake Louise.

Such a great experience! Booking online was so easy, check in day of was super quick. Bob was wonderful getting us set up with advice and a game plan! We used the bikes to go to Lake Morraine and Louise! Was definitely tough on the front end—the hills are rough especially if you never bike!! But the way out from both lakes was a breeze! We were able to see both lakes in about 7 hours, and it was wonderful not being on a shuttle’s schedule

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We rented mountain bikes to go up to Moraine Lake and Lake Louise. Day rate for mountain bike is reasonable. We were impressed with the quality of the bike. Everyone in the shop is helpful and pleasant. Views from the cycle were a highlight of our holiday.

Super helpful people, in particular, Bill (owner). We were looking to hire bikes to cycle to Moraine Lake but everything was totally booked up. My husband had been in contact before we arrived and Bill VERY kindly went above and beyond and loaned us his own and his wife’s bike! He made our day and it was the best day of our whole holiday! We rented e-bikes here to visit Lake Louise and Moraine lake. It's an amazing experience to do this by bike, and because of the e-bikes, you don't have to worry about the steep roads that lead there. The bikes were excelent! Great quality and great condition. And the staff was exceptional; very helpfull, friendly and skilled. Thanks very much! I can recommend everyone to go here and rent an e-bike, instead of taking the shuttle.

Always a favorite stop in Lake Louise. We picked up a warm Fitz Roy down jacket and some insulated cross-country ski pants. Staff was super friendly and helpful in helping us find what we were looking for. The lady had recommended a cross-country ski at Dawn Mountain and it was a highlight of our trip!

Rented some bikes and headed up to Lake Moraine! Staff was super friendly and helpful! Awesome day for us!

Rent your bear spray here! The workers were incredibly helpful and made sure I got bear spray for the necessary hikes. It’s an easy process and the perfect location!

Long up hill ride to the lake with no bike lane cars. And buses passing you inches away terrible experience would not recommend

It's hard to describe when something doesn't feel corporate. That's this place. That feeling requires the stuff they stock feeling well thought out, employees who are funny, and feeling like the employees have experience.

Easily the best boot fitter I've ever worked with. I have new Technica 120s that I was using for the first time. They had been adjusted by the original boot fitter that sold them, but I had several hot spots after 1 day on the slopes. At 4pm the staff at Wilson had me describe the spots and mark the locations, and by 10am the next day I picked them up. The boots have felt and performed perfectly since. Further adding to the experience was their friendly, courteous and patient staff and an excellent selection of my favorite brands (Smartwool, Ark'teryx, Patagonia, etc.) I highly recommend Wilson Mountain Sports and will be back the next time I'm in Lake Louise or Banff.

Huge thanks to Suzanne who helped me find a great rain jacket from the sale rack bc I didn't plan for mountain weather well enough. She brought stock back up from the basement to give me more choices too. All before 830am on a Monday! She was so nice and made my mistake turn into a great way to start the day. Thank you again!

I came by Wilson Sports to rent crop-ons for my hike to Johnston canyon. The store is equipped with items for purchase as well as rental. The rentals were 9$, no deposit was required and I paid on my return. The customer service I found was a bit off- a lot of the reps were foreign and lacked politeness or were just "slow" to follow up with clients. Regardless, I still think the shop was great for the price you pay for rentals and proximity in lake louise!

So we planned on boarding at Louise all weekend and then it didn't snow. We brought our snowshoes however, I really had a hankering for x-country. I had rented there before, last year, and thought we should pop in to see what rentals were available. Wanting our own new set ups had been on the agenda for several months, so when we popped over to look at new gear we were pleased to see a bloody MEGA SALE going on. It took a while to get all the sizing right - but at least they did it - and we walked out with upgraded wax-less skis, boots, good bindings, poles and pole straps for $1000 in total for the two of us. We also picked up some winterized tubes for our bladders, a new stomp pad, one other thing...... and some nice thick ski socks. Staff was friendly, pretty knowledgeable and did everything they could to get us in the right gear. Thanks guys, we'll be seeing you again.

No other way to approach lake Louise! We went up on bikes and avoided the crowds and bikes along the creek. Bikes worked great and came with a lock. Super friendly staff!

These two one star reviews at the bottom are absolutely insane. This place is one of the more hospitable and generous ski stores I have ever been to. Let me explain. My girlfriend and I went on a trip to Lake Louise together. We are both intermediate skiers and wanted to try demo skis that were a notch above what the mountain rentals offered. We ventured into here and what started as a quick peek inside turned into a 1 1/2 hour conversation with my girlfriend and I asking the guys who worked there a thousand questions about ski's/technology/the mountain/ terrain/hidden runs etc etc. that they all were happy to answer. We were in Lake Louise 9 days and ended up returning to the store 7 times to trade out ski's, try something new, pick up a knick knack, or ask more questions. It got to the point where two of the employees gave me their phone numbers and texted me to see if we need help or guidance on the mountain. If we wanted a free lesson. If we needed help with anything. If you purchase 5 dollars a day ski insurance with the rental then your scratches or damage on the ski doesn't cost anything. I would know because I put a giant scar in a set of brand new rossignols and they were totally great about it. We had such a great experience with these guys(and girls) that my girlfriend ended up buying skis from them at the end of our trip, they pro-rated the rentals and threw in poles and bindings at a discount. Ive grown up in Los Angeles my whole life and worked at surf shops, and snowboard shops since I was a teenager and can tell you that these are some of the nicest most genuine humans I have met for a ski shop and can't speak highly enough about them. I was not paid to write this ad. I was not even asked to write a yelp review. Just freaking enthusiastic about how rad everyone in this store was. Cheers!

We had a great experience renting cross country and alpine skis here. All of the staff were super friendly and answered all of our questions. The gear was in great shape and was enjoyable to ski with. We'll definitely be back!

Excellent service from staff. I rented snowboard and boots here, and they actually rented me mint condition new gear! If you're a HI member (there's a hostel nearby), you get a pretty decent discount (15% I think). For everything else, they have a broad selection and probably have what you'll need. But, it's pretty pricey but that's to expect. Always cheaper to bring with ofc.

I rented two pairs of skis in November. They charged me an extra $21 for service (for little scratch under the skis), first time in my life a rental shop would dare to charge a customer an extra fee. I have rented ski for more than 20 years ! They charged the same fees to other clients the same day. Other clients were charged on Trip Advisor. It is a scam !
