Stopped by Wimberley Valley on a Dripping Springs/Driftwood wine trip and all the girls loved it!
Upon entry, staff was attentive, friendly&quick to serve us. Their menu offers a wide array of red, whites, sweet fruity wines (which is their claim to fame), wine slushies, sangria, and snacks. Everything was decently priced compared to other wineries around.
We ordered wine slushies and sangrias. The wine slushie of the day was Green Apple, in celebration of St. Patricks Day (how festive!). We enjoyed the wine slushies and at $6, its a steal. It had a very subtle wine taste, personally would have liked it to be stronger. It was not overly sweet and indeed very refreshing on a hot spring afternoon! The sangrias were good as well, good balance of wine and fruit flavors.
The best thing about Wimberley is their huge outdoor area. They have a nice huge patio layout that offers many seating options from Adirondack chairs, to patio tables, and even a patio swing. Many trees surround the area and provide a good amount of shade. It makes you feel like you're relaxing in someone's backyard. To the far end, there are even some farm animals to pet. 10/10 atmosphere!
I'll definitely have to come back to try their sweet wines and tasting ($9!!). Wimberley encompasses Texas Hill Country- chill vibes, laid back patio conversations, and good wine/food. Its the perfect place to be on a beautiful spring/summer/fall day. Be sure to check it out!
