We did a couples tour with friends and had an absolutely amazing time. This place definitely deserves 5 stars! The highlight of our visit was Carter—he was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made our wine tasting experience unforgettable. He recommended fantastic wines that suited everyone’s tastes and took the time to explain each one with genuine enthusiasm. Carter’s expertise and warm personality really elevated our entire visit. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a top-notch wine tasting experience!

Marcy Oatman

Google
Carter was very knowledgeable about the different wines and awesome selections for us to try. With the selections he suggested we found ones that both me and my husband will be able to enjoy together. I am more of the dry reds and my husband is more of the sweets. But Carter found us one that with a perfect blend of dry and sweet. Thank you Carter we will definitely be back and will let our friends and family know of this amazing place.

Google
Yikes! Overall our visit was lovely, the wine tasting was great and the premises were so cute with all the animals. We went behind the main building and there was no sign posted. When we turned around to head back, a woman with a child said “this isn’t open to the public” and then repeated it again and just stared at us. Okay? We didn’t know and there was no sign posted. Very rude, especially after the person serving us wine said we could walk around. It seemed like she was the wife of someone that lived and worked there. Really dampened the whole experience, won’t be coming back.

Google
Beautiful place, lots of wine and beer options. Great sweet wine options, which is my preference. They had a scavenger hunt setup for kids and one for adults. Food truck smelled amazing but we had just ate. Only one girl working and she was pretty Awesome! Hands down the best out of 6 wineries we visited on our long weekend.

Google
We celebrated my bday here and had an amazing time. The wine tasting was great and reasonably priced. The indoor and outdoor atmosphere were amazing. Loved the black toilet. 😂 The pizza from the food truck was great. They had live music outside. Misters and fans made sitting outdoors pleasant. The animals were so sweet! We will definitely be back on our next Wimberley trip.

Google
One of the best wineries I’ve ever been to. Pablo (I hope I got it right) was great. He was friendly and took his time with our tasting and told us a lot about the winery and the area. I would recommend this to any one loving wine in the Wimberly area. Wish we had time to try the beer.

Stephanie Jones

Google
Such a fun place! The wine tasting was delicious with very generous pours! Great value for the money. You get to pick your top five to taste. The pizza at the food truck was so good, we got two! Be sure to check out the scavenger hunt that gives you a fun tour of the property. There's one for adults and kids too. The outdoor seating was comfortable, even in the hot Texas heat.

Google
Such a lovely property, so, quiet too! The inside is very calming. Only thing I'd say is maybe more of a jazzy feel, but the music doesn't match. Carter was amazing, highly recommend having a conversation with the guy. 100% would come again

Yelp
We got here as it opened on a mid week visit and had the place to ourselves. The barman/wine server was so friendly and made us feel so welcome. We opted for the beer flight and we were pleasantly surprised that we liked all of them - including the darker ones (which I don't normally like but these were super amazing). The small shop inside has some pretty cool (and nicely priced) wine accessories. Outside it is set up for a good truck venue but it was closed the day we went. The London route master bus was a particular high light for me!
google avatar

Kristin S.

Yelp
Nice area to stop for some wine and tastings. Enjoyed sitting inside on a colder day (they do have outdoor seating too), where they had live music. Could be decorated and lightened up a bit, it seemed pretty old school with their decor. Kid and dog friendly and plenty of parking!

Yelp
I've been meaning to write this review for a few years (yes, years). My partner and I came here for a day date. When we stepped into the location we went to the bar area to determine how the tastings here worked as we didn't have a reservation. The bartender explained that we could sample wines in order to determine what we liked. We sampled a few different wines but elected to go with the sweet Blueberry wine because why not? At the time we went to this location, the price of five samples of wine costs $18.00 which seemed to be line with other wineries in the area. It should also be noted that this price included the wines glasses that we took home with that were branded with the Winery logo. This blueberry wine had intense characteristic fresh blueberry color and flavors as well as flavors of black cherry, plum, and blackberry, with a touch of spice (at least that what it tasted like to me). This full bodied sweet wine is a pleasant after dinner desert wine with a long finish. This is an excellent sipping wine and goes well with many foods including: strongly flavored meats, barbecue, chops, and especially with chocolate and rich deserts. My partner and I sat outside and drank the bottle underneath the trees at a quaint patio table. This is a great out of the way winyard that is beautiful and worth the drive.

Yelp
Wimberley Valley Winery has a vast selection to taste, pick 5 for $20. Interesting selection and too many sweet wines for my taste but a decent selection for those experienced tasters as well. Our pourer, Travis is adorable, very friendly and super knowledgeable about the product! The winery is a castle-like facility, fireplace was glowing, and inviting. Also a second tasting room across the facility is for beer tasting and tons of tables to enjoy another lovely room. Fun stop on a rainy afternoon.
google avatar

Jaylynn M.

Yelp
My initial reaction of the winery was that it was beautiful. The exterior and interior of the property is gorgeous. Our bartender was extremely attentive and knowledgeable about the wines. Being able to sample 5 wines for $20 was almost too good to be true but it is true. Go and see for yourself!

Yelp
We were staying local and wanted to have a dinner and some beverages and decided to stop here - we were more than pleasantly surprised with the location and its offerings. The large main house provided guests with a wine tasting area and a large "pub" also served craft beers. We opted at first for a flight of beers and a pint of their Pilsner - all were lovely. A large outdoor area provided guests with a lot of seating options - on the Saturday night when we went there was also a live musician. Wood fired pizza was also available onsite for guests - this was a HUGE win. We had the pepperoni as well as the chimichuri steak pizza - the chimichuri steak pizza was probably the best we've had in the austin area to date. The only downfall were the flies - Texas outdoors will of course have bugs to contend with but I really wish more places with outdoor seating offered table fans to prevent bugs from being the main uninvited guests. They also had wine slushies - these were less wine and more just a basic frozen drink (think Pina colada) but they were delicious nonetheless. If you're in the area and looking for a spot to enjoy the outdoors while sipping on a bevie - this is it!
google avatar

Cynthia R.

Yelp
It was a nice winery, extremely crowded on a Saturday. I tried the plum spice slushy which was very tasty. I didn't get to do a tasting since it was a pretty long wait and I was on a time schedule with a tour group, but the wines I saw looked like they would have been delish.

Sharon F.

Yelp
love thor place. Relaxing and the staff, Pablo and Alaina...the food truck guys are great. love the special sweet and Spicey. what a way to spend a peaceful afternoon.
google avatar

Deanna J.

Yelp
I can't wait to get back to this place. The food with eclectic pizza options was top tier, and even though there was a limited amount of options for beer and wine, it was still a perfect venue. I was able to bring my son along and the outdoor space allowed him room to run, play and climb the beautiful trees. The service inside was friendly enough, but the food truck manager was very warm and welcoming. Looking for a place to hang with friends for a nice laid back afternoon, this is the place!
google avatar

Laarni C.

Yelp
We did not try any of the food this visit. We liked the new tasting room with the stained glass window! Staff was friendly and accommodating. We beat the crowd because we arrived early 12ish and that was great because we had the place to ourselves! The outdoor space was also nice with today's great weather

Ace S.

Yelp
Been a wine club member for 5 years Staff are always friendly and helpful The architecture is fabulous and the outdoor experience is very relaxing Would recommend a visit

Krystal G.

Yelp
Love the concept and the grounds. Smaller wine selection but my husband was able to find out he liked. Loved the music outdoors and the pizza food truck :)
google avatar

Janet R.

Yelp
Very nice winery with nice patio to enjoy a bottle of wine. Prices are decent. First time at this winery and would go back again. Had outdoor music playing if that's your thing.

Yelp
We came to Wimberley Valley winery to attend a welcome dinner the night before my cousin's wedding. The property is sprawling with plenty of indoor and outdoor space. We were primarily located inside and the entire space was reserved for the event. The wines that were served were tasty and I made sure I tried every single one of the reds listed. While we were there, they also had catered pizza for the event. Unfortunately, the pizza came out in very small batches, and with a large crowd of people who were very hungry, it took a while to get a slice. All in all, it was a nice place for a welcome event for a wedding.

Sandra T.

Yelp
Wonderful wine, beautiful venue, but the staff is what really makes this place stand out. Everyone is very friendly, welcoming, and makes you feel at home. (Carly and Pablo are awesome!) The winery is family friendly and welcomes dogs. The wines are some of my favorites and we have been to quite a few wineries over time. I wish they would be open after dark. I suspect it is amazing with the oaks lit up on a summer evening. I love the new focus on the garden!
google avatar

Cactusflower W.

Yelp
Wonderful location in the hill country near Wimberley. Family friendly with lots of animals for the kids to watch. Great selection of wines. Great service. Shade infer the live oaks. You can't beat it.
google avatar

Carolyn G.

Yelp
My husband and I popped in around 1 this afternoon thinking we would give this winery a try. It's very pretty outside. When we walked in we were advised that it would be at least a 20 minute wait since we didn't have a "reservation". I've never had to make a reservation to do a wine tasting before so we were pretty taken aback. They weren't terribly busy so maybe they just didn't have enough staff on hand to accommodate those of us that like to check out new places on Saturdays. I am not sure that we will be back.
google avatar

Lianna T.

Yelp
A lovely setting, the highlight was the outdoor area with live music and a food truck with healthy, satisfying Mediterranean food. The indoor area with the wine tasting didn't have quite the same ambiance and the wine tasting can only be done inside at the bar. We had hoped we could possibly do the wine tasting outdoors, but it wasn't possible. Overall, the wine options were varied and fun to try.

Yelp
So if I would have a love child with a winery that resulted in a tasting and tap room, the result would be Wimberley Valley Winery. It's a great place to do a tasting or to hang out with friends and enjoy a bottle. Very spacious interior and very accommodating staff. Everyone I've brought here has raved about what a cool concept they have implemented. It's not your average slug and chug tasting room. But wait, there's more! The food truck outside is incredible. Okay so they only serve burgers and pizza. They do have limited hours. But the gourmet burgers are fantastic. A co-winer told me that the pizza is to die for here. I was very capably served by Jasmine on both occasions. Her recommendations were spot on for me and she is always so pleasant and easy to work with. Wimberley Valley Winery is very lucky to have her representing them. I went home with a bottle of their sweet red and I can't wait to go back. Five bajillion stars. My next visit is already scheduled. Does that tell you anything?

Leah H.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, knowledgeable staff, sweet pony and donkey friends! Really enjoyed our wine tasting and the shade of the huge trees.
google avatar

Annie A.

Yelp
Great live music and great wines! There are a few food trucks (although it took us a LONG time to get our food). There's even a little farm at the back and feels super relaxing. Would definitely come back!

Don F.

Yelp
Food Truck had wood fired pizza! Wine was good and reasonably priced. Great outside shade trees and sitting areas!

Elley S.

Yelp
Great food and wine and beer selection. The deck was nicely misted and comfortable on a 95 degree evening. Excellent service. We will definitely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Had such a wonderful time here, we went on Tuesday via reservation and were the only ones there until noon. Plenty of outdoor space to social distance along with animals to interact with: donkies, goats and miniature horses! A decent selection of wines with one standing out in particular to our taste-buds, can't remember the name specifically but it was red wine cherry blend, maybe seasonal? The staff is friendly, place was very easy to find, there is a bit of construction going on in and around the place but it's not too big of an annoyance to take away from the overall great experience.
google avatar

Mariah G.

Yelp
The wines were amazing! And the workers were so insanely friendly and knowledgeable about wine. For just the tasting the price and portion size is just perfect.
google avatar

Natalia L.

Yelp
What an incredible winery with such knowledgeable personable staff. Located on such an extraordinary piece of land. Me and my husband each did a wine flight and picked our favorite sips and ordered a glass each which we enjoyed on the fabulous patio. I love that with every flight purchase included is a souvenir wine glass. Flights and by the glass were very reasonable given the type of wine served. We ended up enjoying our time so much that we came back an additional day. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to sip on some delicious wine .
google avatar

Makenzie O.

Yelp
Cute winery, good selection of wines. Love the animals on the property and music on the weekends. Haven't tried the food yet but looking forward to it. Love the bus outside for purchasing bottles/ glasses. This place gets packed on Saturday. One thing I would tell management is that they have chiggers all in their back lawn! We sat in a couple of the lawn chairs in the grass and came home with chiggers bites EVERYWHERE. I highly recommend sticking to the patio areas and hopefully they could spray to avoid this in the future.
google avatar

Elizabeth G.

Yelp
There wasn't any food when we were there. The service was good, but seemed a little rushed. The ambiance was beautiful The pricing of tasting 5 wines of your choice was a great price for $18 a person.
google avatar

Patricia J.

Yelp
What a great place to visit! We just happen to stop by, didn't reserve a tasting but was quickly accommodated. The wines available for tasting were very good, and there were plenty of options to choose from. We ordered a charcuterie tray during our tasting. Afterwards, we enjoyed the outdoors and ordered pizzas . Great visit, can't wait to go again!
google avatar

Nikki V.

Yelp
Great place to visit and spend an afternoon relaxing. Wine is ok, disappointed it isn't Texas wine but it's good. The pizza food truck was awesome-get the charcuterie pizza! Outdoor patio areas are the best in the area.

Debra L.

Yelp
Had a blast here. The service was amazing. We had the best waitress ever. The drinks were amazing and the food also. The inside was clean and charming with a warming atmosphere

Carmela McCain S.

Yelp
Great wines and a beautiful patio to enjoy it! The bartender suggested great wines to try.

Deacon M.

Yelp
Excellent wine, beautiful atmosphere and an all around good time. If you don't drink wine they also brew beer.
google avatar

Sarah E.

Yelp
Beautiful location down the beaten path in Wimberley! Wine tastings (5 wines of your choice) for $18 and friendly staff. The food truck is also DELICIOUS. I try to avoid food trucks at wineries/breweries but the burger and potato gratin were exceptional.

Jay T.

Yelp
This winery is THE place to go if you want to unwind and relax. The wines are good, but it's the staff that makes it great. After a visit or two, they'll remember your name. Then they'll remember what you drink. Good live music on the weekends. Not only pet friendly, they'll dote on your pet. Ask for Carly, Indiana, Jasmine or Pablo. They're the Best!

Dana C.

Yelp
We loved the wine, beer, pizza from the food truck and all the feels at this place!! Including the miniature horses! The live music and the wood burning fireplace was a bonus!
google avatar

Lauren S.

Yelp
Went on a holiday weekend and there was a bit of a wait for a tasting so our party opted to just get a single glass at the bar. We enjoyed the art nouveau interiors. I liked my wine (the dry white). The snacks at the bar leave something to be desired but they have a sense of humor about it.
google avatar

MC F.

Yelp
Our group of four had a great time here. What a gorgeous property! The wines selection was impressively broad and varied. We enjoyed a charcuterie platter with our tastings, which really helped to enhance each of the wines. A couple of us left with a few bottles. The grounds are just gorgeous, and I can only imagine what a cool place it would be at night! We agreed that when we are back in the area (and we WILL be back,) this winery will definitely be on our list for a return visit.
google avatar

Kasper L.

Yelp
This is a cool place! I'm glad I had the opportunity to visit here. I'd like to come back and try the tasting. The outdoor seating area was nice and very spacious. I did like the outdoor patio and the arrangement of all the things. I enjoyed the red wines that they had. I really liked the season fruit wines--tasted like juice with how fruity they were (I mean that in a good way). The food truck also served some pretty solid food. Really enjoyed the chili and cheese tator tots. The pizza was good too! The burger was a little disappointing though. All in all, nice place to visit! Come check it out!
google avatar

Shirley R.

Yelp
This place is so beautiful! Heads up though, make sure you make rezzies for the tastings, we didn't and were unable to since they were fully booked that day. However, do not fret if you didn't, because the grounds are stunning. You can order a glass or a bottle, no judgment ;), from their double decker bus, that gave me some serious harry potter vibes. Then take it and enjoy the view. There is ample sitting. I would love to come back with reservations of course, and try a flight in their beautiful tasting room.
google avatar

Yelp
A year later and Wimberly Valley Winery is just getting better! Our friends are members here and we joined them to go out and pick up their wine. While we were there we had a tasting. They now have a full line up of "fruit" wines like Blackberry, Cherry and cinnamon, honey crisp apple, and others. They are on the sweeter side but for me were seriously tasty! I loved the cherry and the blackberry. However at this time of year it is the mulled wine that truly wins the day for me! If you haven't had mulled wine I suggest you get off your butt, drive the distance, and sample some right now! It is so worth it! A hearty and loud Ooooh my Goddie toooo Hottie to this wonderful glass of spiced wine that is served hot! It brings flashes of warm fire places, deep snow, thick sweaters and holiday cheer with every sip. It is my absolute favorite! They are adding more structures to the location, the outside area is a divine place to grab a bottle and just sit and soak up the outdoors while enjoying a good sip with friends, and the inside is a great lush environment of comfy lodge like decor. It is a great location with good people and a great selection of wines... not only theirs but a plethora of other wines as well. We always enjoy our time here! One last note.... try the mulled wine! It is the holiday season in a bottle!
google avatar

Veronica J.

Yelp
This place was very full when we visited, i'm guessing it's always like that since they're expanding and making a brewery as well. They have some cute ponies and a lot of outdoor sitting areas. The food trucks looked good but too bad we ate before we got there. The pizza smelled glorious! We got some blueberry wine and watched the ponies scarf down their hay and called it a day.
google avatar

Sergio A.

Yelp
What an amazing winery for wine tasting. Great price for a 5 wine glass for $18. We pick two bottles of blanc de bleu to pair with our charcuterie board. They have a gorgeous out scenery to enjoy the bottles of wine. They also have cute emails to pet from there other side of the fence to enjoy friendly animals. Our person that help us out named Indiana was amazing to show us the wine educate us about the wine tasting.

Phyllis K.

Yelp
We just hosted an evening event at the Winery. The food was delicious, the service excellent and the ambiance lovely. We highly recommend it for a great party.
google avatar

Michelle M.

Yelp
Great drink selection and fun staff. Great outdoor seating area although I wish we could have done our tasting outside! The tasting is paid but the pours were reasonable.
google avatar

Mahwish S.

Yelp
This is my second time visiting this winery. I loved it the first time and it left an impression on me to go back. Because of Covid, they are doing tastings by reservations only so that they can control number of people and properly space out in their tasting room. I'm sure you'll love a bottle to buy and you'll have ample time and space to enjoy it on their deck or yard after your tasting. Our tasting guide, Robert, was very knowledgeable about the different wines and a joy to converse with! They do have a good truck on their premises that bakes wood fire pizzas. I didn't try any this time because we already had brunch before coming. The port was my favorite wine. You've got to try it for yourself!
google avatar

Nicole Q.

Yelp
I don't do wine tastings often. I don't even really drink to be completely honest. But this winery was so cute and I loved everything that I tried. They have cute little ponies, goats, and donkeys outside of the parking lot that you can pet. It does make your hand stink, but at least they have really clean bathrooms you can use to wash your hands before you drink your wines. We came here to do tastings. $9 for 5 tastings with generous pours. For $15 I believe you get a few more tastings and a souvenir wine glass. Everything I tried was delicious. I loved their dessert and fruit wines as well as the sangria. Great notes (I don't know what I'm talking about) and smells. Bottles were dirt cheap and I would have bought the sangria had I not had to fly back to get home. The guy pouring our wines was very friendly and knowledgeable. They even had a large comfortable sofa that you could relax on with friends. After our tasting we went out back where they have a great scenic patio. There's a bus out there that sells snacks and wine slushies. You can play corn hole and mega jenga. It was a great atmosphere with strung up lights on the trees. I highly recommend it for a weekend trip!
google avatar

Karen D.

Yelp
Made a rez (required) a day in advance and was prompted seated for my 45min tasting! I decided to go with 5 TX wines to try, and they did not disappoint! My server gave super generous pours and timed it accordingly. Because I'm a slow drinking, I had the last 2 to enjoy in the spacious courtyard area. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Stopped by Wimberley Valley on a Dripping Springs/Driftwood wine trip and all the girls loved it! Upon entry, staff was attentive, friendly&quick to serve us. Their menu offers a wide array of red, whites, sweet fruity wines (which is their claim to fame), wine slushies, sangria, and snacks. Everything was decently priced compared to other wineries around. We ordered wine slushies and sangrias. The wine slushie of the day was Green Apple, in celebration of St. Patricks Day (how festive!). We enjoyed the wine slushies and at $6, its a steal. It had a very subtle wine taste, personally would have liked it to be stronger. It was not overly sweet and indeed very refreshing on a hot spring afternoon! The sangrias were good as well, good balance of wine and fruit flavors. The best thing about Wimberley is their huge outdoor area. They have a nice huge patio layout that offers many seating options from Adirondack chairs, to patio tables, and even a patio swing. Many trees surround the area and provide a good amount of shade. It makes you feel like you're relaxing in someone's backyard. To the far end, there are even some farm animals to pet. 10/10 atmosphere! I'll definitely have to come back to try their sweet wines and tasting ($9!!). Wimberley encompasses Texas Hill Country- chill vibes, laid back patio conversations, and good wine/food. Its the perfect place to be on a beautiful spring/summer/fall day. Be sure to check it out!
