Winchester Lodge

Winchester is so beautiful, clean and quiet. I don't wanna talk about the safety because what I saw it was out standard. The place is located on a suburb and there was armed response vehicle outside and I was escorted by securities to get into the customer because I was there to deliver. The time I was there I wished if I could just stay for so long because i was so inspired to also one day live in such an environment. I wish if I had more time to view the place and upload some pictures and videos in order to see how beautiful is that place

Charity and Musa were really good host, unluckily i didnt have hot water the first night, and the second night was really noisy because of other customers. Shit happens

i decided cancel my booking with ecotel near south gate because they were very unprofessional. we made a last minute booking on saturday night, Alan was very accommodating and very welcoming. very quick and efficient. i was very impressed. the place is very beautiful. absolutely stunning. our room was spacious cool and so clean. definitely will be coming back.

The place was generally ok, the area is safe and the staff welcomed us well. The chairs in the room were dirty, the wifi didn't work in our rooms, only outside closer to reception area. The staff cleaned our room daily as opposed to every 3 days on thier in room pamphlet and we really appreciated that.

I paid for the Deluxe room which supposed to have an aircon, this didn't exist. The sofa were torn, bathroom do didn't close, pool was filthy. It just lacked maintenance all round. When I informed the owner about my concerns he said he couldn't care less and he will give me my money back, I can stay somewhere else.

Do yourself a favour read this review and believe it, I wish I did. The place is a dump. Bathroom basin was blocked. Very poor on cleanliness . No toilet roll in bathrooms. Taps are problematic. You won't even find a teaspoon to stir the tea that they supply. Customer care is not a priority. Very poor. Don't waste your money.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The music from the neighbors till 11pm was very disturbing. The bed's base in room 4 is not stable and the tv channels in all 3 rooms were not working like advertised. The breakfast was well prepared but skimpy. I mean if you only ordered bacon and scrambled eggs and you get one rasher bacon...

Would like to thank Alan and his wife for a very enjoyable stay at Winchester Lodge on 21st-23rd July. We stayed here after a week in Bela Bela for work. I decided to upgrade my room for around 300 rand a night and it was well worth it. Went for a superior double which had a lovely lounge area, beautiful view of Winchester Hills a jacuzzi and big bed. ||||I must say, the owners have done a wonderful job with their decor, attention to detail is nice. WIFI good, breakfast made fresh and easy in out access with a key-card. Also, lots of Ubers around if you need to travel. ||||The management went above and beyond for us, letting us use a room to freshen up before leaving for the airport at 7pm after we had checked out. Thank you for a pleasant stay! Highly recommended.
