We chose Terrace at Windmills to celebrate our anniversary, expecting an elevated dining experience. What we got instead was overpriced, poorly executed food that completely ruined the evening.
We started with the Garlic Parmesan Wings, and from the first bite it was clear we had made a mistake. The wings were drenched in oil and overloaded with butter to the point of being greasy and nauseating. There was no finesse, no flavour balance , just heaviness. Easily one of the worst wings I’ve ever had.
Then came the burger, priced at roughly ₹800. For that price, you’d expect something memorable. What arrived looked unappetising, and sadly tasted just as bad. I’ve genuinely had better burgers from roadside vendors and basic cafés. The fries were even worse , dark, limp, and tasting unmistakably like they were fried in old, stale oil. It was honestly embarrassing for a place positioning itself as premium.
The main course, Prawn Mango Coconut Curry (₹895), was another disappointment. Five prawns. Five. The texture was off, the curry was swimming in oil yet again, and the flavour was flat. At this price point, quantity could be forgiven if quality justified it. Here, neither did.
The only saving grace of the evening was the Curry Leaf Chicken, which was reasonably well-balanced and actually enjoyable. Unfortunately, one decent dish cannot compensate for an otherwise subpar and overpriced meal.
The most shocking part is how drastically the food seems to have deteriorated. The prices are exorbitant and completely disconnected from what is being served. There is absolutely no value here, just inflated billing and mediocre execution.
It’s genuinely baffling to see glowing reviews for this place. After this experience, one can’t help but question how those ratings exist. I have attached pictures as well, even everything looks thoroughly unappetising.
We will not be returning, and I would strongly urge others to think twice before choosing this place for a special occasion.
