"Another favorite filming location for Simone Ashley while shooting Bridgerton. Known for its scenic beauty, horse-riding experiences in the forest, and proximity to Windsor Castle."

Extensive park with easy walks around the Virginia Water lake and beautiful gardens. The park is home to many interesting features, including The Cascade (a dramatic artificial waterfall) and Leptis Magna Roman Ruins at the eastern corner of Virginia Water. The totem pole near The Valley Gardens was an impressive feature, as is the towering obelisk near the upper pond. Wildlife seems to thrive here - I saw lots of birds and a grass snake by the lakeside. Late spring is the best time to visit, when the azaleas and rhododendrons in The Valley Gardens are in full bloom, providing truly stunning displays of colour. The Punchbowl is a must see at this time of year. Parking is fairly expensive at £3 per hour, but there's plenty available across multiple sites, and the facilities are immaculate. A high end café at Virginia Water offers a good range of drinks and cakes, with more substantial lunch options available at The Savill Garden visitor centre, where there's also a large shop. Impeccably maintained toilet facilities are located near the main entrances. The park is free to visit, but The Savill Garden is charged separately - visitors purchasing a ticket are entitled to a refund on their parking charge. If you've got a couple of extra hours The Savill Garden is well worth a visit, particularly in May when the flowers are at their peak. There's plenty to see including a tropical glasshouse, Mediterranean garden and rose garden. Windsor Great Park is easily a full day out if you explore everything it has to offer - set aside another day for Windsor Castle and you can enjoy an excellent weekend here.

Very beautiful place to visit in summer... ❤️ Parking at Virginia Water is really convenient, with a large car park right by the entrance—though it did cost nearly £15 for the day as I remember. From there, it’s easy to access the toilets and start your walk into the park. The main path is well-marked and takes you on a scenic route that can lead all the way to Windsor Castle if you're up for it. Along the way, you’ll pass some truly lovely spots like the Deer Park, Cow Pond, and several other picturesque attractions. It’s a perfect place for a relaxing day outdoors!

Virginia Water to Windsor Castle,, 6.5 miles walk. Amazing view on the way. Park is so convenient at Virginia Water car park,, it charge me almost 16 pounds for the day. From the car park, using toilet, u can start ur walk to the park,, if you follow the path, it will take u all the way to Windsor Castle. On the way don't miss the amazing Deer park, cow pond and many more attractions. Best view from King's George statue to Windsor Castle. Make sure to book a return ticket from Windsor Castle to Virginia Water,, avoid bus while u can. There's many toilet facilities available. Ice cream ban, café an, restaurant and a playground.

Stunning park, delicious food and friendly staff. We had an amazing day and are sure to come back! Parking was 15£ for a day but entrance to the park is free (except for Saville Gardens) so it’s well worth it.

Very large park with distinct zones. We like coming in the back door from Windsor direction. Basically like being on a carless road in the countryside. Yet so close to major conurbation. None facilities this side but very quiet. Great for cyclists. Entrance near our home in Virginia water has toilets, cafes etc. but gets very busy.

A lovely place to go for a walk. There are multiple car parks around the edge of the park, but they do get very busy on warm sunny days so beware. There are tracks and roads to walk along so take your choice. On this occasion we walked into the deer park just enough to see The Old Walk which leads straight to Windsor Castle. Parking is quite expensive, around £12.50 for the for hours we were there. Definitely going back as there so much to see and walk around.

Great place for a walk around the lake. Nice restaurant facilities, but can be busy near the main areas. The further you walk the quieter it is. Paths are well maintained. It's great for picnics. A long stay will rack car park charges

This place is fantastic! So clean, modern and perfect for keeping children entertained in the fresh outdoors. Visited after a Legoland stay and absolutely top- trumped it on the fun and value for money element. Clean, meticulously maintained. Big fans

Yelp
Great for a half-day trek down the Long Walk from Windsor Castle and Town Centre, preferably with a good friend because the road is dead straight and nothing much happens except when you sight deer or even rarer royalty. Or take a bicycle along the many roads that criss-cross the park, and watch a Polo match or one of the many other summer events. Kas73 is wrong, you can't drive through unless you live in the park, but you can ride up to a great little cafe/Post Office and even some swings if you take the kids. For a full day, add on a walk around the lake in the Valley Gardens, best for their rhododendrons and spring flowers.

Yelp
Probably the single best thing about living in windsor you can be in beautiful meadows, exploring woodland, walking around lakes and all within 10 mins of the centre of town. great for picnics, cycling, running or just whiling away an afternoon walking around. Dont miss the copper horse, or the huge herd of deer.

Yelp
Windsor Great Park is a lovely area to walk the dog or cycle. Maps are available from the village shop within the Park. The only place you cannot take dogs is in the deer park. You get a great view of Windsor Castle from the Long Walk. Keep a look out for the Green Parrotts that have taken up residence in the park. You will probably hear them first. It is also a great place for plane spotting as the park is on the Heathrow flight path and the planes fly over very low. There are plenty of places to park around WGP but you will need to take your own picnic as the nearest restaurant is in Saville Gardens, which is on the edge of the park just off the A30 on the way to Staines.

Yelp
Lovely big park. I wish i lived near it. I came to WGP on a trip to Cumberland Lodge, which is inside the park, on a university trip. The park is totally enormous, and full of deer and a load of animals and birds. It would be a great place to go for a run - endless different routes. Also, you can walk to Windsor castle - the view as you get closer and closer along the long approach is really amazing.

Yelp
Windsor great park is really beautiful - especially in the summer. If you love walking and exploring or flying a kite then this is the place for you. There is nothing more exciting then that to do here, but thats the joy of it. Its SO peaceful! Windsor great park is very large and so you can always find a quiet spot. If it is a sunny place day then do take a picnic as this is the perfect place for one. I think you can also drive through nice and slowly though! :) There is some animal life in the park - either in the ponds or in the trees so make sure you keep your eye open. Also visit the ground keepers cottage as i think the garden is so well kept and really pretty to see.

Yelp
After a trip around Windsor Castle we decided to make the most of the lovely weather and go and eat our picnic lunch in Windsor Great Park, on the long walk. The view from the long walk up to Windsor Castle is lovely. The park was immaculate and the kids enjoyed letting off some steam playing under the trees.

Yelp
Windsor Great park is like a cranium on top of the world. It is the most peaceful place in all of England, where time can stand still and the rivers never run dry, a bit like heaven on Earth, you can even see the Ethiopian Prince Alemayau.

Qype User (jimhes…)

Yelp
Great place to take the kids on a sunday afternoon, i am teaching my daughter to ride a bike at the moment and the park has a wonderful straight road that is perfect for this task.

Yelp
The large wooden boat that provides a continuous climbing and playing. There is also a hugesandpit that designed to climb, slide, and to swing. You and your children will surely having a good time in this place.

Yelp
Lovely place to go for a walk but unless you go for a pretty long walk there can be quite a lot of people, so not as peaceful! Best times are first thing in the morning of you want quiet.
