If you are tall ask for a top bed! I stayed here for just 2 nights for my flight. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The hostel is about a 20-30 minute walk to the center/the sea. The door in my dorm often got stuck on the ground, making a loud noise when moving. This was very annoying as it woke up many people. The matrasses also felt very used.

Incredibly friendly staff who welcomed us on arrival and were full of tips and advice about where to go in the town. For the price we paid the room was quite good with private bathroom, good shower, air con and a desk. I liked how decorated the communal areas were with photos and icons from the sailing world, clearly those involved with sailing have an association with this hostel. Would definitely recommend for anyone coming to Zadar on a budget, as everything worked perfectly. It might be a little bit far from the main action of the city if you were staying for longer, but since we were just in town for the night it was fine walking into and out of town once. Even then it was simple and about 15 minute walk.

Great hostel with great prices. Petra was a wonderful host. She recommended the best spots in town for me to see. The people I've met there are great, and the hostel is very clean. Without a doubt, I'll be coming back there when I visit Zadar again.

This super clean and friendly hostel is perfect for the solo traveller looking for somewhere to crash. Beds are clean and tidy, with lockable space for personal belongings. Bathrooms and showers are clean and well located just near the bedrooms. Free car parking outside and free good quality wifi throughout the hostel. Great lounge area for a few drinks. Kitchen is quite small, but very usable. Super friendly and helpful staff, happy to give us tips on where to go. Would definitely recommend this hostel, and hope to come back again!

The hostel is about 15 minutes of walking distance from the beach. First time I had the pleasure to stay at such a new hostel where rooms are equipped with air-con, comfortable beds, good size lockers and electric window blinds. There are many bathrooms and showers so I never had to wait in a queue to have a shower. There is a living room where you can relax and talk to others. I like the open plan with check-in desk with a dining area and the kitchen, however I found it a bit too crowdy at times and I had to wait to take my food out from the fridge. But over all, it isn't a big disadvantage of that place because a kitchen is always the most crowded place at a hostel. The hostel has a balcony which is great for cigarette smokers. The girls - staff were very helpful and easy-going. The atmosphere is great, it feels that you are a part of travellers community :) There is always something extra for you to help yourself to, like, for instance, yummy biscuits or sweets :-))) I also made a friend there, so it's another plus for Windward Hostel. I highly recommend it.

I liked Windward hostel very much! They are complitely new, and really nice furnished. The theme is so original - sailing, and all the rooms are named after type of sailing boat! The receptionist rules! She is so cute, friendly and was at our disposal whole time! The location of the hostel is also very good- 10 minutes to the city center by foot.. All in all highly recommended!!

This hostel a really nice place to stay in. It is a 15 minutes walk to the centre so make sure you don't mind walking if you decide to stay here. The hostel itself has everything you need. A kitchen, good showers, free cereals and free coffee. Everything is really clean and the person working is really friendly and in for a talk. During the time I stayed there I even made some friends. The common room has a TV and a Wii, but I couldn't find any games for it though. The rooms have AC that do not blow on top of anyone. You have your own locker and a small pouch where you can put some stuff in before you go to sleep. Overall everything is great and I had a really great time!

My boyfriend and I wanted to find somewhere that was within walking distance to the centre of Zadar, this is where we decided and it certainly did not disappoint. We were the only ones staying at the hostel as it was not high season but the hosts made us feel really welcome and nothing seemed like too much trouble. Room was clean and spacious. Kitchen facilities available. Staff happy to provide tips of what to do near by. I imagine this is somewhere that thrives during high season! Definitely recommend.
