Wine + Market

This was my favorite lunch spot by far while visiting Lexington. It's just like stepping back in time. It seemed to me it was female-owned, and they knew exactly what their loyal customers like. The cheese selection alone is worth coming and doing some shopping. They do have raw cheeses although they're not marked very well. I had a salad, and the cheese plate which was just enough. The room to the back is a really nice liquor store with very hard to find gin. I found a bottle there that I've been looking for for over a year.

I frequent this shop for some of the best barrel picks you can find in town. The sandwiches are out of this world too! One owner is a sommelier and the other a true bourbon aficionado. They are passionate and educated in their business. Everything at Wine + Market is quality.

Last night's Holiday Food and Wine Pairings ZOOM was such a festive event. We has a white, three red, port and a sparkling, all were great option for pairing with Thanksgiving and Christmas food. The Butternut Curry Soup, Duck Confit and Strawberry Trifle were delicious. Reneé offered stories and pairing options for all the wines and I can't wait to use some of them at the Holidays, limited as they will be there is no reason not to live it up in smaller groups. The 2 oz bottles of wines and pretty little plates of food all came in a bakers box with reheating instruction, an educational worksheet and menu with pairings. She paired 2 wines with each course and it was fun to see the differences. Look for her next class -- they are delicious, fun and educational!

Love this place! If you live here or visit here it is a top place to go! They know their wine and bourbon and the sandwiches are top notch! The one pictured is so good! It’s like showing up to a friends house every time we go! Always look forward to swinging through and every Friday is free wine tasting!!!!

Went to a cheese tasting on my first visit to this shop, and it was absolutely delightful! Laura was really pleasant and well informed about all of the cheeses, and the atmosphere was just so much fun! They also have a great wine room! Definitely a new go-to spot!

The sandwiches are tasty! The beer selection is amazing, always something new to try. Great selection of wine as well. Fresh bread, produce, sweets (just to name a few) available for purchase every day. They have free wine tastings on Fridays I believe, and they'll tell you all about the wine, what it pairs with, etc.

Cute place. Grab turkey and grill cheese Sandwiches and drink. It was delicious 😋

Came here for our anniversary lunch and everything was delicious. We had the #5 & #8 and both were superb! The bread to filling ratio was spot on and you could taste all the components within the sandwich, they all had a purpose and great flavor! Everyone was so friendly and there's lots to walk around and look at while you wait. Will definitely be back! I've got my eye on #9 next.
