The tasting was underwhelming. It felt overpriced, especially compared to other Port houses nearby that offer more for the same or even less. The explanations were vague, and the staff didn’t seem very informed about the wines. I also didn’t enjoy their Port much. For what I paid, I expected more from the wines and the service. There are definitely better experiences to be had elsewhere in the area.

I had a wine flight along the banks of the Douro at this lovely place. All the time they were careful to explain the details of each wine, including why they looked different from each other. The 5 different variations and ages of port were all good as well. I would recommend this place as a relaxing place to spend about an hour at.

Fantastic little place with some of the best Port Wines the world has to offer. Service is seamless and knowledgeable whilst the menu is extensive. Beautiful view of the city and Duoro River. Highly recommend. - Value for money? Depends on taste - Worth a detour? Yes - Best for (occasion)? Indulging in Port Wines - Would I go back? Yes

Great service - CATARINA was/is wonderful. Port is a daunting proposition for many - even me, after years of practice! Catarina made me relaxed. Just next to Sandemans and looked more inviting. Had the “Port Wine Flight 40Y” - 5 great Ports for €48. Great value when you think how much you pay for Port in your local restaurant. Great venue - overlooking the river with the famous bridge in the background.

Was okay. Ordered one thing but received another. The waitress refuted this ever happening even though the wine was completely different name and class. She left me with the wine I didn’t ask for. Went to manager, manager made it awkward questioning waitress in front of me, clearly annoyed that I had even come to her. Was charged initial wine ordering that was a lesser cost than the wine I had intended to purchase. Offered to pay the difference but they instead came to grab the original wine from my table and discuss the exchange in the back. All I wanted was to change wines and pay price difference. Ultimately my waitress brought me the wine I originally asked for and advised me to order more carefully next time…. Using the terms that only applied to the wine I wanted initially (as per the menu). Wine was still good. Atmosphere great. Cheese plate messy but delicious.

Nice port tasting experience, river-side, so a great view. I was not familiar with this brand, but I will look for it in the future! We did the medium intensity tasting.

We didn’t have food in this place but we bought only port wine by glass. The service was great and the port wine was excellent- turned out to be the best port wine we had in Porto in our opinion so we had to get a bottle at the airport as well. Recommended, and better than the other big names

Friendly and knowledgeable staff and great tastings. We chose to do a 40-year old port flight tasting with chocolate and added a separate 20-year old and glass of white. They paired really well with the chocolates and we ended up buying one bottle to take home.

This was a delightful tasting experience from a smaller port house. Quinta do Bom Dia is a family affair and not just a vineyard; it's a testament to the resilience and innovation of the Vieira de Sousa family. From overcoming the devastation of phylloxera to adopting cutting-edge technology, this estate has been pivotal in shaping the family's legacy in the Port wine industry. They offer a great wine tasting with port wine of 5,10,20 ,30 and 40 years old port wines. Loved their 20 year old white port that is the preferred and signature of the owner. With a strong honey, vanilla hint and citrus this port was absolutely delectable! The atmosphere is relaxed and really focused on the port tasting as the visit is short as compared to big port houses!

We visited three highly recommended Port tasting spots and this was our favorite. Quintta do Noval has a great view of the river and the city across the river. The staff was PHENOMENAL! Our server made great recommendations, had a wonderful sense of humor, and was able to interact in English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese. They have a number of port tasting options and our server provided more context, share more about the distinctions between each Port, and answered our questions. We walked away much more knowledgeable and enjoying our visit!

Wonderful tasting experience and wines. They have a broad range of different price points and styles of port for everyone. You can do different levels of selections in tastings of 5. Including a 10yr, 20yr or 40yr Tawney Port. You can tell the production is much smaller than many of the larger producers in the area. There is no tour or extras here, their focus is 100% on the wines. I would come back here in a heartbeat during my next visit and highly recommend stopping in.
