Wings & Water (Te Anau)

It was an absolutely perfect experience. Since I couldn’t visit Milford Sound due to the weather, I made a last-minute booking with Wings and Water for a Doubtful Sound scenic flight. The tour was 40 minutes long, and within that time I was able to see the Sound itself along with several lakes, waterfalls, and peaks. The pilot was truly skilled—flying very smoothly while also giving us detailed explanations, which made the whole trip incredibly worthwhile. I would strongly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to see the Sound in a short but impactful way. To book, the fastest way is to call immediately. We flew twice about a week ago. It was such a pleasant experience even for me who is scared of flying. Our pilot had 35+ years of experience and I felt super safe flying with him. The view from the plane is amazing we would definitely recommend. To book a flight we just walked to the dock and waited on the bench hoping for them to be back soon, which they were :)

Another bucket list experience ticked off the list! My mum and I booked a mystery flight on the spur of the moment and Ivan was able to fit us in on the spot! Ivan was an excellent pilot who made us feel safe, comfortable and kept us laughing. The flight itself was breathtaking we saw hidden lakes, passed through a mountain pass and stopped at a mystery beach where we saw wild kiwi prints! Truly an unforgettable experience with amazing value! Thanks team, would 100% recommend 😁✈️🌊🏔️

Brilliant experience. Kylie is a great pilot, made us all feel safe and is absolutely full of knowledge about the area. We went to dusky and doubtful Sounds, and even had a landing half way. An absolute highlight of our visit to NZ. Highly recommended.

I was lucky enough to get a last minute seat on the last plane before the winds kicked in after ringing the owner the night before. Fantastic people to deal with and a spectacular flight which is unforgettable. You would be crazy not to try and get on one of these flights as if you are lucky enough to get a seat it will be the highlight of your Te Anau experience. And finally if you buy the video package for a little extra you get the coolest little USB stick ever that is the shape of the plane with even the correct tail number. Thanks again guys; it was awesome.

Took the short 15-20 min flight and it was a lovely experience! Commentary and tales on route were really good.

We did the Doubtful and Dusky flight yesterday and had a wonderful trip with Kylie who was super knowledgeable. There were a couple of more queasy moments so bear that in mind if you struggle with travel sickness, but the views over Fiordland were so incredible it was worth it. Definitely recommend!

Had such an awesome flight with Wings and Water! Ivan was friendly, funny and super knowledgable. Best commentary I have had on a scenic flight, and he knew all the answers to the questions I had! He could name every mountain we passed. Views were incredible, could see loads out the window. I chose the sea plane because it was more affordable than helicopter flights and so glad I did. Only wish I could have done a longer flight! Really happy with my experience. Thanks guys
