"Wings Wildlife Park Playing host toalarge population of Tasmanian wildlife—plus American bison, monkeys and aquatic creatures including albino rainbow trout—Wings is a surprising find in this remote corner of Australia’s most remote state. To make the most of your visit, book a private tour in advance. Then you’ll be able to experience Tasmanian devils during their mealtime, cuddle a koala, hand-feed kangaroos and see baby animals normally off-limits to the public."

Absolutely wonderful park. Feed kangaroos, so many experiences you can have. We did a capyboro experience. Kids loved it! Truly worth the trip in. Cafe on site. The animals are rescues and incredibly well cared for. A must do trip.

A Peaceful Haven at Wings Wildlife Park Wings Wildlife Park is a true gem nestled in the tranquil Gunns Plains countryside. From the moment you arrive, there’s a deep sense of peace in the air—surrounded by lush hills and the soft sounds of nature, it's the perfect escape from the busy world. What makes this place truly special is the heartfelt vision behind it. The idea to bring together native and exotic animals, farm life, and genuine hospitality in one place is simply brilliant. It’s more than just a wildlife park—it feels like a living, breathing sanctuary shaped with passion and care. The animals are clearly well loved, and the enclosures are thoughtfully designed. I especially enjoyed the Tasmanian devils. The caretakers were incredibly informative, sharing stories and facts with warmth and enthusiasm, which made the experience both educational and memorable. Wings Wildlife Park is not just a place to visit—it’s a place to slow down, connect with animals, and appreciate the quiet beauty of Tasmania’s rural heart.

Absolutely amazing place. To see the rescued animals in such well looked after homes. In their own little nooks. First visit today, but it won't be the last. Tim, one of the park workers, was so helpful and very polite. The staff there Just can't be faulted. Made myself and my client feel so welcomed and got some laughs out of her. The food is yummy 😋 and so fresh. Definitely worth a visit Maybe even stay the night in there accommodation... the park is just so amazing

The best zoo I have been to in Australia. marmoset and meerkat encounters are relatively cheap and you get to hand feed and spend up to 20mins in each enclosure. the monkeys like climbing on you and hanging out which was our highlight. The breadth of animals they have is great and would highly recommend to anyone.

Lovely day. Friendly staff. Loved the Tassie devil encounter. Wish the cafe had vegetarian and vegan offerings. If you love animals perhaps don’t eat so many of them?!?!

We loved this place, so much to see. The moment I arrived i got to see beautiful wombats and a few tassie devils (Yani and Sydney) close up. Amazing place, really well laid out so you could take your time to see everything and get close. We had a cold day and finished with a beautiful soup in the Cafe. 10/10 Staff were super lovely also

Very interesting place. The lady at reception was very enthusiastic and all other staff i saw were extremely happy and helpful. A great experience feeding fish and kangaroos. Was also great to walk through the farm area. The drive down was scenic and beautiful, I have rarely seen such amazing scenery. There are a few single lane roads, so be careful driving if its dusk. Many animals are rescues and it is such a wonderful thing to see them being taken care of.

Great place to visit for a whole family. Kids really love to see different kinds of animals from wild life to farm. A peaceful and calm atmosphere to feel when visiting this place. We will plan to camp if we have a chance.

Yelp
Fulfilling a lifetime dream for my dad was such an amazing vacation. For as long as I can remember, my dad has wanted to go to Australia. On the wish list...to see koalas, kangaroos, Tasmanian devils and more. The highlight of our tour of Tasmania was definitely Wings Wildlife Park. Booked a shuttle months ahead of time online. This was so important because they sold out during our time in port. So easy to get the wristband in the garage next to the shuttle (after we met the Asst. Mayor of Burnie who greeted all of the arriving cruise passengers.) Once at the park, get a souvenir bag from filled with kangaroo food for $6 AUD. Then meet the kangaroos, kangaroos and more kangaroos. They were so gentle. So happy to see my dad and my mom so happy. The kangaroos hopped up to you to have a snack. The albino kangaroo with the baby Joey was shy at first, but then cozied up to our family. The Tasmania devil feeding frenzy was crazy. Those little carnivorous marsupials definitely were fighting over their meal. Sort of scary seeing the zookeeper in their open area. The birds of Australia area was so interesting. Loved seeing the kookaburras. As a kid we sang a song about the Kookaburra Sits in the Old Gum Tree. It was a popular Girl Guide Song in Australia that we learned at Girl Scout camp in Florida. So many other animals. Wombats. Meerkats. Wallabies. Marmosets. Sugar Gliders. Brushtail Possums. Echidnas. They even have Texas Longhorns on their family farm. Ended the day with another highlight. My husband was able to snag the last encounter time of the day to spend with Blinky the koala. Blinky is one of two koalas in Tasmania so our family was so lucky to be able to be able to have a nice private experience with him and his trainer. A nice treat for their 60th wedding anniversary. Wings Wildlife Park is a family owned and operated park. A great place to spend a few hours or the day learning about Australian and other animals. Review #1900

Yelp
Want to get out of town for a while? Then take a drive to Wings Wildlife Park. 20 mins from Ulverstone and 40 mins from Burnie or Devonport. Beautiful scenery on your drive to Gunns Plains. Cafe offers a good selection of meals to cover all budgets. Hot drinks, cold drinks, ice creams all available. There is also a gift shop and wildlife park on the grounds with over 150 different species for you to view. Also different hands-on encounters available. You don't have to pay wildlife park entry to dine in the cafe.
