Perfect for our travels! Clean, comfortable & perfect location. Very reasonably priced! Nice coffee and continental breakfast before heading on our way.

Clean, comfortable and affordable rooms. Staff was pleasant. We checked in at around 5:00 p.m., our stay was during the winter months. When we got into the room we realize the heat had not been turned on prior to our arrival and we could see steam from our breath as we were talking to each other. It took a few hours for the room to properly warm up. It didn't look like many of the other rooms were being used during our stay, so while I realize that there might not be a lot of stuff on during the winter I think that could have been managed a bit better especially with a pre-arranged reservation. This is the only reason it was 4 stars instead of 5. Otherwise I would go back again.

The highlight is the staff- very helpful and pleasant!|Room needed updating in a big way, but beds were comfy and clean. The blueberry on the floor was a sign they might have been rushing through the cleaning, but overall it was good. We were travelling with our dog so I was happy she was welcomed. The wifi access was REALLY poor, but the staff encouraged us to use the tables in the lobby were it was stronger. Nice location for border crossing, and enough food choices in the area to get dinner. The motel breakfast was really marginal but coffee fine and fresh.

Excellent location for price. Rooms are dated but washroom looks newly renovated. Friendly staff, clean towels and good beds. Clean fridge and great room cleaning daily. Very much appreciated. Will be coming back here for sure!

We got this room during a road trip at the last minute. Simple rooms, clean and comfortable beds. Nothing great or bad about it. Convenient with good prices. Staff on site 24/7. Breakfast is included from 7 to 9:30, which is a nice surprise.

The person who cleaned our room before we got here must have had a busy day and was probably eager to finish their shift because there was a prescribed pill on the floor, I found 2 hairs in the bathroom and forgot to change the plastic drinking cups (there was water in one of the glasses and the protective bag covering one of them was taken off)!!!! I was so disgusted with the place that I didn’t want to take any chance and washed the door knobs, and every accessible things in the room. The bathroom needs to be freshen-up: cracked bath coating, stained paint, and clogged sink! Too bad we arrived late and really needed a place to sleep;, otherwise we would have left and found another place to stay! (The front desk clerk was nice though!;-)

Really comfy beds! Excellent place! Great staff would be 5 star if they had decent toilet paper! It's so thin you end up using 5 x as much as of it was good quality.

This is a simple Motel with a continental breakfast. Nothing to fancy on the outside. The room was big and clean. The bathroom was very clean. The beds were a little soft but okay ... might be time for a new one soon. The outside was clean and maintained. There is a grassed section I'm sure you could walk your dog on if you didn't want to walk down the street. We did not have the breakfast so no comment on that. It's on the main rd but set back so you don't see or hear the traffic. So everything is right there including the highway, Chocolate Factory 3 min away, Boarder 3 min and the Lighthouse. I would stay again.

We needed a place to stay on short notice during our drive from Connecticut to Halifax. Called the same day and the very friendly staff made us a reservation and said we would call later that day to cancel, if need be. The exterior looks like a typical, aging motel, but the inside of the room was as updated as any regular hotel of this style (e.g., Best Western). The motel is located across from Atlantic Superstore, next to a Sobey's, a Shopper's Drug Mart, a Kent, and a Canadian Tire. Not sure what else is in the area, as we were just passing through. The room had a fridge and a microwave, so we just grabbed some food at the Superstore across the street to have a little meal in the room. The motel offers complimentary breakfast, which had many options (various breads, bagels, cereals, fruit, coffee, tea, and juice). They even used real dishes (not disposable) for breakfast and one of the staff was continually cleaning up and making sure everything was well stocked. Overall, a great place to stay at a great price.

I have stayed here a number of springs in a row, because it was easier to stay here than in Calais, ME and to be honest the motels in Calais are not the best! This motel is small, clean and a quiet location for a visitor to St. Stephens or surrounding area. I have always found the ladies at the front desk very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is minimal but at least they offer this service, most motels that I have stayed at, do not. When An online service screwed up my reservation for my last visit, the ladies up front fixed everything to ensure I had a great room for the time I needed to be in town. I love this place and highly recommend the Winsome!

not sure why my review is showing up, maybe because its not a pleasant one so it was blocked, but I need to express my opinion. I am very frustrated as I wasted my money staying here. IT IS DIRTY and EXPENSIVE!! the rooms smelled, and the service was horrible! DO NOT STAY HERE!
