I was excited to visit, as some scenes from Game of Thrones (Winterfell) were filmed here. The location is stunning, with plenty of scenic walking trails. We even had the chance to chat with some friendly locals about the show and filming spots—such a great experience!

Great experience. We did this as a stag do and had a great laugh throughout. The hosts/tour guides were great, funny and friendly. We did archery, axe throwing and got to walk around the grounds and were educated by where certain filmed scenes happened... All whilst dressed up as people from GOT. Would highly recommend for a good laugh with a group of friends.

Castle Ward has very wonderful grounds. The manor was closed (which we knew) at this visit, but the courtyard with the gift shop, tea room, and used book shop was getting decked our for Christmas. The walking trails and the Winterfell grounds were spectacular.

wonderful place! Get ready for a long and pleasant walk. Thrones game fans will be delighted. In addition to the location of the series, there are fascinating places for fun.

It's an unbelievable experience! If you like Game of Thrones, this is the experience for you. Our guide, Robbie, was very knowledgeable and was also an extra in the show.

Great place for walks, cycling, family picnic. Event on by the wardens during the year to entertain the children. Tours off the main house and surrounding area and history of the family who once lived there. Love it. The castle and area was used for scenes in Game of Thrones. Very popular.

Great fun if you have a good sense of humour and general knowledge of GOT. We had a lovely young man named ‘Spike’ as our brief tour guide, friendly and funny gentleman who was in good form and understanding considering we were 30 mins late (sorry!) after a brief tour we headed off by ourselves on a cycle tour with props and a map! Great fun! There’s one hill that’s a killer for unfit people like me 😂 you’ll know it when you get there! but other then that it’s a lovely bike ride that’s very manageable! Walk up the hill that’s tough and the rest is great!

Wonderful place for a walk among stunning grounds and beautiful little walkways adorned with wild garlic and other flowers.
