I was there with my colleagues and took an Haxen and beer...very good service food and atmosphere. Will go back for sure.

Good selection of traditional Bavarian specialties with Andechs beer on draft.

Nice dinner at a good price, generous portions. In my opinion the Spätzle could have been tastier with more cheese. They also prefer cash to pay the bill and didn't even give us a receipt....

I wanted to share the disappointment from our recent visit to your restaurant in Augsburg on April 6, 2025. We had a great start to the evening — enjoyed our meal and a lovely bottle of Salzl Zweigelt Reserve 2019. When we asked for a second wine recommendation, your waiter suggested the Trollinger Trocken. After tasting it, we mentioned it felt a bit too light compared to the first one. To our surprise, the waiter responded through a phone translator with, “it was your problem.” When we asked to speak to the owner, he said he was the boss. We then said we wouldn’t be coming back, and his reply was, “it’s up to you.” That kind of attitude really caught us off guard and left a negative impression. As guests in Germany, we were looking forward to experiencing Bavarian hospitality, but unfortunately this didn’t meet the expectations.

Subject: Disappointing Experience at Wirtshaus am Dom – April 6, 2025 Dear Wirtshaus am Dom Team, I was invited by Bauer to Munich to attend the Bauma. I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding the service I experienced during our visit to your restaurant in Augsburg on April 6, 2025. While we initially enjoyed our dinner and a bottle of Salzl Zweigelt Reserve 2019, we asked for a recommendation for a second wine. The waiter suggested a Trollinger Trocken. After tasting it, I politely commented that it felt too light compared to the first wine. To my surprise, the waiter responded—using a phone translator—with the phrase "it was your problem." When I asked to speak with the owner, he told me he was the boss. When I replied that we would not return, he answered, "it's up to you." This kind of response was shocking and unprofessional, especially from someone claiming to represent the restaurant as the manager or owner. It left a very negative impression on all of us. As visitors from abroad to Germany, we were looking forward to experiencing warm Bavarian hospitality. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below our expectations. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used as an opportunity to improve how guests are treated in the future.

Amazing German food! Very popular at night, great atmosphere. A bit on the pricier side. Our most expensive meal so far and we've been travelling Europe for 2 weeks... Had weiner schnitzel and their special allgau style pork escalope with cheese... Yum! Also great boosters for toddlers

The best restaurant in Augsburg with friendly staff and excellent beer. A must-visit for beer lovers and local food.

It had been raining heavily and we needed a place of refuge and something to eat. How lucky were we to find this place. Food and service excellent in a clean and safe environment
