our receptionist told us to check this restaurant out and we looked on Google and saw that it looked really like good reviews so in our last night we decided to give it a go and I’m glad that we did. I had the trout it was delicious. it’s boneless don’t ask me how they do it, but it’s boneless and it was very well done with lemon and herbs. We also had the schnitzel which was also very good and then we indulge in a piece of their Apple strudel which was good a little overheated, but it was good too. Glasses of wine restaurant was on the pricey side the waiter I think his name Elia was very efficient helpful and nice indoor outdoor seating. It’s connected to a hotel right near the bridge if you want traditional food and something typical of the area this is the place to have dinner.

A very good restaurant right on the edge of the old bridge in Heidelberg. The restaurant is quite spacious with seatings outside, inside in the garden and indoor seating. The service and the food taste and quality quite good. They have limited number of choices but quite very optimum and easy to decide and relish. Definitely recommendable place if you are looking for good dining places in Heidelberg downtown area.

Fantastic experience. Perfectly situated near the main bridge, this establishment has the qualities of a local institution. Fantastic indoor and outdoor areas, the ambience is busy without being too loud or chaotic. I ordered the rolled beef which was perfectly cooked, juicy and tender, wonderfully seasoned and complemented by the red wine jus on a bed of mashed potatoes. Table service was friendly, attentive and helpful. They provided recommendations on request and made sure to check in to see if I needed anything.

The food was exceptional—each dish was beautifully prepared, showcasing fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. A special thank you to Aya and Life, whose kindness and excellent service made the evening even more enjoyable. They were attentive, warm, and made sure we felt right at home. Delighted with our evening meal. Rich, tasty food in an environment that still feels welcoming inside the restaurant. Next level up compared to restaurants in the main Heidelberg streets. Friendly staff that are helpful but discreet and respectful. Worth your time and money. In addition, we stayed upstairs in the Hotel Zur Alten Brucke. Beautiful room with views and central to all local sites.

Yelp
Saturday night in Heidelberg old town were able to make reservations. Good food, service not so attentive. Ordered beer and wine everything took a long time. Needed more beer/wine and came after dinner was done. Not our favorite but service affects the overall experience. Nice place, seating on top of the table next to us. Fun vibe!!

Yelp
Wow! Finally a real authentic German restaurant in Germany that's not a tourist trap! Beautiful decor and ambiance, food and drink to die for and nice attentive service. If they recommend something, try it. We had a beautiful dessert and after dinner drink. All in all, ausgezeichnet!

Yelp
We arrived at 9:30 on a Friday night. It took forever for a server to come by, and then we were told that food service had ended. I asked for a recommendation, and got a curt and dismissive answer that many restaurants on the Hauptstrasse serve food until 11. I get it, you hate tourists. But would it really be too much to ask, since we chose your restaurant based on good reviews, to kindly direct us to another fine establishment? With this kind of rudeness, I'm not coming back.
