I stayed at Hotel Wish with my husband from August 23-September 1, 2025 after spending two weeks in Rio de Janeiro. We stayed at Hotel Wish for nostalgic memories because we had stayed at this historic hotel in January 2004 and we loved it so much that we wanted to stay there again. The hotel is still spectacular, yet we were disappointed because our hotel room’s double panes windows were broken, so they were cloudy and obscured the view of the pool from our room. But, the hotel staff more than made up for this issue from the time we arrived. Raphel and the other staff at the front door greeted us with big smiles and escorted us to the front desk where Natanal assisted us with checking-in. He was very professional, polite, and friendly. We arrived early and our room wasn’t ready but he checked us in, took us luggage, gave us a map of the city, and recommended to us a restaurant as we requested within walking distance. When we returned he had assigned us a nice room overlooking the pool. The restaurant he told us about turned out to be our favorite restaurant while staying in Salvador Bahia. We relied on Natanal for guidance about what to do for our entire stay. Their breakfast is traditional Brazilian food which we loved and again the staff worked to ensure that we had a pleasant staff at the hotel. I enjoyed sitting in their lounge while listening to local Brazilian musicians performing and getting to know the entire bar and restaurant staff. Thank you Jose, Marcos, and the entire crew for making me feel special. I look forward to seeing you again next August when we return to celebrate our birthdays in Salvador Bahia. And lastly the, thanks to the pool staff for taking great care of us. We are fortunate enough to stay anywhere when traveling but we like staying at hotels where we feel welcome and this hotel fit the bill.
