This Taiyaki + Ice Cream place is at the level of other giants such as SomiSomi. The soft serve has a perfect texture (I tried the Pure Milk flavor with a Taiyaki on top, the Taiyaki being filled with Nutella), the service is quick and efficient, and the store was crowded when my two friends and I went on a Saturday evening. The ambiance is great too, there are so many pictures showing what the options are like, and there are clearly-illustrated menus spread throughout the restaurant. The toppings are available for the customers to grab and add to their ice cream as they wish, and everything, from the Oreo crumbs to the Banana chips are great. You can truly feel that every single item in this store is, indeed, made With Love.

Google
Really great service and I love the soft serve and taiyaki!! They let me sample the ice cream first which was really nice. Self serve toppings, and they make the taiyaki on the spot.

Google
Taiyaki and ice cream, a truly delicious match. This is a pretty small business, so sometimes it felt claustrophobic inside when it got busy. Compared to Somi Somi, the ice cream isn't as good, but I like this taiyaki slightly better. I do appreciate that the toppings are self-serve.

Google
It's a small place that serves a variety of ice cream and cold drinks. It's very similar to Somi Somi in that you choose your ice cream and your filling lined inside the Taiyaki (fish shaped cone). This place differs in that they have more options in terms of toppings (free and unlimited in that you serve yourself) and they also have shakes, slushies, smoothies, and Sso Tteok (savory sausage and rice cake). I ordered the Pineapple Dole Whip and it was good but nothing really different or special. I also ordered the Sso Tteok inside the Taiyaki and it was also okay. Sso Tteok is a Korean street food that is typically served on a stick, like a kabob, alternating between rice cake and sausage with a slightly sweet and spicy sauce. With Love put a spin to it in that they serve it in the Taiyaki. The flavors were good, but I didn't think it worked with the Taiyaki in that there was only one small piece of rice cake and one small halved piece of sausage. The filling was lacking and it was there was too much breading for the lack of filling and sauce. Typically the rice cake balances out the saltiness of the sausage but put inside the bready Taiyaki, it just didn't have enough flavor. One nice thing about this place is that they have a section with toppings that you can help yourself to. The service was really good as well. Overall, I would go back again if I was in the neighborhood but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back.

Google
Our kids absolutely love this place. No sharing allowed. Just kidding, portion sizes for the soft serve are pretty large. The fish shaped pastry called Taiyaki is a must try. Pretty crowded this evening and there are only a few stools around. Luckily the snacks here are so good people are generally done quick while the soft serve is cold, and the taiyaki is fresh and hot. Will try again when we are in the area. Oh I didn’t even get to try their pineapple dole whip. Next time.

Google
With Love, just soft opened! It's located right next to the famous Golden Deli. There are no other dessert places that sell taiyaki in this area so it was a nice surprise to see this place open. The owners and staff were all very attentive & sweet. I'll def be back to try different things on their menu.

Google
We tried the mozzarella cheese taiyaki and the custard taiyaki. The texture was chewy like mochi with a crunchy outside. We also tried the red bean shake and the peach mango smoothie. Everything was very tasty.

Google
This is a fantastic soft-serve spot located next to Golden Deli. It's similar to Somi Somi in that you order flavor-filled Taiyaki to go with your ice cream. I got the Black Sugar Milk flavored soft serve with Red Bean Taiyaki and both were fresh & delicious. Service was friendly with free parking in their lot.

Yelp
It was a really warm day so we stopped by to try their ice cream, but also ended up ordering their mozzadog taiyaki as a snack. The person at the front was really nice and helpful with ordering. The ice cream was so refreshing! We got the milk and dole whip swirl and it was so good and the ice cream was creamy. I'm a big fan of dole whip and theirs was soft and not too sweet. We didn't want to get a lot of toppings this time, but the fact they have a complimentary self serve topping bar was a nice touch. The taiyaki was a good sized snack too and we loved that they gave us the extra pieces around the taiyaki itself. The inside has a couple of tables and a few chairs, but great for a quick stop. We were mostly amazed that you could get good sized ice cream and a snack for under $10 total. Super affordable compared to other places! We'll be back next time we're in the area. :)

Yelp
What a rare delight it is when quality, presentation and taste exceeds expectations. With Love prepares their treats--you guessed it--with love. We have always gotten the freshly prepared 5 pack of taiyaki. With perfectly hot, crisp and chewy pastry filled with the perfect amount of delicious filling. We always get red bean, Nutella and custard but will try the other flavors if we can ever not order our favorites, The preparation of their taiyaki ice cream is special. Beautiful to behold and delectable to enjoy. Each is made perfectly and with a decent portion of the milkiest soft-serve ice cream--unlike other shops that skimp on quantity or quality. Not cheap, but what is cheap these days? It's definitely worth it as a premium dessert and miles above a cone from McD's--which I have nothing against and also enjoy more frequently. After hitting Golden Deli next door, With Love is one of our two favorite next stops when craving something sweet.

Yelp
It was a hot day, and we were craving some ice cream--so we stopped in at the closest store we found. Decided to get the pure milk-flavored soft serve with black sugar drizzle, which costed extra. The ice cream was handed to us right after we paid--super quick service. The shop itself is cute and cozy, perfect for families to enjoy a treat together. You can't go wrong with the classic milk flavor, and the black sugar added a nice touch of extra sweetness. It did melt pretty quickly as we were eating it. Still, it was a yummy treat!

Yelp
Tried this spot and loved it! The soft serve was delicious with huge portions, definitely big enough to share with a friend. I'm so happy to have Dole Whip in the neighborhood now. I also got the taiyaki, which was perfectly crunchy. They have a lot of flavors I want to go back and try, so I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Been a few years but I finally came back since they opened. I got the half ube soft serve and half milk soft serve this time as well as a pumpkin filled taiyaki. Love that they have sprinkles/toppings on the side and you can add as much as you want. Still delicious as it was the last time and the pricing is still very reasonable! Glad that they are still doing well.

Yelp
Tasty soft serve!! Ord: -Milk+Dole Whip Swirl & Taiyaki Pro: -Each soft serve flavor is tasty and not overly sweet. You can ask staff to sample which helped make our decision. -Milk is creamy and subtle in flavor (we were between this and matcha) -Dole whip is slightly tart and more gelato-like in consistency -Taiyaki is delicious!! We recommend filling it with custard since it's not overly sweet and paired well with the icecream. We appreciated how the Taiyaki was both chewy and crispy! -Small shop, but plenty of seating with an outdoor table as well Con: -During busy times the parking lot of this plaza can get full!

Yelp
After dinner, we popped over here for dessert when we saw they had taiyaki. It was pretty busy on a Saturday night, but we managed to get a table outside. They offer both soft serve, taiyaki, and drinks. I got the Taiyaki Ice Cream ($7.70), which comes with a cup of soft serve topped with a taiyaki and filling. I chose the custard filling, which was delicious. The soft serve is so creamy and the milk flavor was spot on --loved it! I wish they paired the swirl for milk with matcha instead though. Also, pretty cool that they offer free toppings (except the station was pretty messy and people were just pouring spoonfuls into their cup). It seemed unsanitary, so maybe have an employee serve it instead.
google avatar

Yelp
Soft Serve texture is great. Thick but creamy and doesn't melt quickly. We got Pure Milk swirled with Pineapple Dole Whip; can't go wrong with tangy, sweet and creamy! Dole Whip texture was just right, not icy at all. Taiyaki was cooked perfectly. Crispy outside with a soft, fluffy and slightly chewy inside. Cream Cheese was good, sounds weird but it's similar to a cheese danish. Red Bean were whole red beans and added a bit of texture when you ate it.
google avatar

Linda M.

Yelp
Finally tried these super popular desserts! We got no filling in them but they were still good! It's like a mochi donut texture? Place is super cute!
google avatar

Sharon H.

Yelp
Reminds me of Somi Somi, but better. It's been a while since I had Somi Somi, but the concept is similar. They offer taiyaki with soft serve ice cream and the taiyaki comes with a filling. The taiyaki also has a mochi texture which made it taste better, imo. This is the perfect treat to eat after getting a nice warm bowl of pho right next door at Golden Deli. Parking was easy to find, but can get busy on evenings and weekends. The parking lot is shared with other business such as Bopomofo and Golden Deli. The store is kind of small with limited seating inside and a few tables and chairs outside. The staff is friendly and patient. They were apologetic for the long wait times for taiyaki since there were only two employees. I can only imagine how busy it would be on a hot summer day.
google avatar

Abigail U.

Yelp
I ordered the Taiyaki ice cream with Nutella filling, it was quite tasty, but wish it had more filling. The vanilla ice cream was good and will be returning to try more flavors. They have a little section where you can add toppings like sprinkles and other tasteful toppings.
google avatar

Yelp
The kids wanted dessert and narrowed it down to ice cream. We saw this place nearby with taiyaki too and the kids got excited. They both got the pure milk soft serve with a nutella taiyaki. I thought it was cool that toppings are free and DIY. The soft serve was creamy and delicious, I hate when soft serve is icy and tastes like watery milk (like AYCE soft serve). The Taiyaki was perfectly warm, crispy on the outside and chewy inside. The cashier was friendly and helpful while the service was quick. There are 2 tables right outside but otherwise you might want it to go. The free toppings station was clean and I appreciated the serving spoons not being gross or toppings mixed altogether, which means they're monitoring it frequently. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
This a small place within a plaza. The parking lot can fill up easily so hopefully you can go during slower times. This spot is definitely a grab and go. There's very limited seating. Mostly used for waiting while the taiyaki is being made. The food is ready at a good pace. The staff are friendly! The taiyaki are hot fresh and tasty. I was especially excited to see cookie butter as a flavor. It's not too sweet but just enough. It was a premium price flavor though, just a heads up. This is a great place for when looking for a dessert place for a late night but don't want something cold and most bakeries are either closed or left with the sad remaining pastries.
google avatar

Cassidy I.

Yelp
The taiyaki are hot and crispy! Definitely expect to wait for a while, but it's very worth it. They also have soft serve ice cream, and a large variety of flavors of slush! Definitely be prepared to take it to go, there's almost no seating inside. There is a good amount of parking, but the lot can get very busy.
google avatar

Yelp
With Love is a sweet shop that has various flavored soft serve and taiyaki. Taiyaki is a fish shaped waffle cone that has filling on the inside. I tried the red bean taiyaki today. I waited a few minutes for it and when served, it was hot and fresh!! The red bean was sweetened perfectly to my liking (not too sweet). I enjoyed this a lot!! Absolutely coming back to try other filling flavors. Staff are nice and helpful in explaining what a taiyaki is. The inside is a bit small. There are 2 chairs inside and a table with chairs outside. Plenty of parking though.
google avatar

Robyn Mei M.

Yelp
Located in a plaza, so plenty of parking available. Service was good, there was a gentleman behind the counter. I got 2 regular taiyaki- Nutella and cream cheese. It was my first time trying cream cheese, i would give it a 3, Nutella is always a safe option. If you get the soft serve they have unlimited toppings, YOU can put. Which i truly appreciate! They have bar seating on the counter and a table available inside. Would come back to try their soft serve for sure.
google avatar

Mina C.

Yelp
Super like this one, Taiyaki is very good, not too sweet and the filling inside is very rich. I love the pineapple dole whip flavor, like a smoothie, so perfect for a hot summer day! The taiyaki is freshly made
google avatar

James M.

Yelp
It's hard to go wrong here! Soft serve and Taiyaki pair together perfectly. Taiyaki is a Japanese street pastry that's similar to pancake batter but crispy and shaped like a fish. Traditionally, it's filled with sweet red bean paste "anko" made from "azuki" Japanese red beans. However, at "With Love," you can choose from several different fillings, including the traditional red bean paste. Personally, I love the custard filling and usually go with pure milk soft serve with strawberry syrup. Toppings are free, and I typically go with Oreo and peanuts. They also offer Dole Whip, Ghirardelli chocolate, and matcha. You can even combine some of the flavors as a swirl. The shop is somewhat small but cozy, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
google avatar

Cynthia P.

Yelp
Smells like heaven as soon as you walk in! Ordered 15 taiyaki so there was obviously a wait. Croissant taiyaki was very good. I didn't try the other two flavors I bought but heard the rice cake sausage was a hit from friends and family. I like that workers included the outer parts of the crust so you get a large rectangle taiyaki rather than just the fish like at other places. The box does not close properly because it's too small to hold 5 items. I suggest the shop getting larger boxes for the 5 taiyaki set. The box should also have a an area where you can punch a hole to ventilate so the taiyaki will still be crispy. Will definitely be back for more!
google avatar

Niki D.

Yelp
Tried With Love for dessert and it was super cute. I got a taiyaki with Nutella and added brown sugar boba with my ice cream. Everything tasted really good and the combo was perfect. The place has a cozy feel and the presentation was really nice too. I'll definitely be back when I'm craving something sweet.
google avatar

Lesly M.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem. My kids and I enjoyed a sweet treat and it did not disappoint. They were friendly and super fast with the order. They have a variety of items on the menu. We will definitely be back. 10/10.
google avatar

Angelica T.

Yelp
I got the pure milk with Reese's peanut butter drizzle and taiyaki with cream cheese filling... It was amazing! I definitely want to come back for more. My husband enjoyed his pineapple dole whip but wished he had realized he could have done a swirl with the pure milk. My godson enjoyed his pure milk with black sugar drizzle... He said it was basically a Taho syrup The store is small but cute and they give you free toppings. For the price, it's an awesome deal. It was busy but worth the wait. The ladies who took our orders were nice and you could tell they work hard.
google avatar

Selene S.

Yelp
Very small inside but the decorations and vibes were very cute. The menu can be hard to read at first but they only have 4 ice cream flavors: pure milk, dole whip, matcha, and ghirardelli chocolate. You can get the swirl of only two flavors (the first two, or the last two). I tried the matcha ice cream ($6.50) and it was smooth and not too sweet. The matcha taste isn't super strong. I also got the red bean taiyaki which was nice and crispy on the outside and warm and sweet inside. It was freshly made and hot to touch. Note that it is cheaper to get it on the ice cream than separate which I did not notice until after I paid. Service was good. Cool tidbit is their color changing spoon! Orange when it touches something cold.
google avatar

Cindy S.

Yelp
A soft serve place. The Pineapple Dole Whip and Green Tea was good. I don't recommend the chocolate soft serve, the chocolate flavor was very subtle and one can barely taste it ;however, my daughter like it. We also got the taiyaki (fish-shaped waffle). The Azuki red bean and custard were good - not too sweet. -Cash/Credit Card accepted -Parking in a busy mini-mall.
google avatar

Danya G.

Yelp
I stopped by With Love for some freshly made taiyaki after dinner. Overall, it was a great experience! The taiyaki here is made to order, so expect a bit of a wait, but it's worth it for that fresh, crunchy goodness. The staff was nice, friendly, and patient while we decided what to get. Prices are fair, though I will say the taiyaki are a bit on the smaller side. Be sure to eat them while they're fresh--once they cool down, they can get soft and a little soggy. It's definitely more of a grab-and-go spot, but they do have a few small tables inside and outside if you want to sit down and enjoy your treat right away. Overall, a cute spot with fresh, tasty taiyaki and great service.
google avatar

Bilin W.

Yelp
For my revisit to "With Love," I tried the soft serve + taiyaki. Service is still great, the workers greeted us as we enter/left the store. As for the dessert, the ice cream was smooth but the milk scent was light. Love free topping zone! My brother had fun decorating his ice cream with rainbow sparkles. The taiyaki was smaller than expected, containing less filling and overall content.
google avatar

Bex Q.

Yelp
I despise this parking lot but with that said it's because there are so many great businesses attached to it and With Love is a welcome addition. The people running it are welcoming and I must admit I'm grateful it's not boba. We enjoyed our selections of Matcha and Fresh Milk soft serve. I loved the Matcha soft serve and the kids loved the soft serve and Takiyaki (sp?). We will definitely go again as it was not too sweet and reasonably priced. Place is small but we all made it work. Looking forward to going here again and we have already told other friends about it.
google avatar

Karen K.

Yelp
I tried the gochujang swirl on the milk soft serve. It's surprisingly good! It is slightly spicy, slightly sweet, very creamy. The sso tteok taiyaki was also very good with crispy fish, chewy rice cake, and savory sausage, and a nice savory sauce to complement the flavors and textures. We also tried some standard fare-- nutella taiyaki, cream cheese taiyaki, custard taiyaki, and chocolate soft serve. All okay. Caution, the cream cheese was very, very hot. There is a free topping station. Kids got standard sprinkles.
google avatar

Vanessa L.

Yelp
Definitely love me some Taiyaki ice cream! Don't know why I waited so long to try this place out. We came on a Friday night, probably an hour before the place close so parking wasn't too bad. It took over Labobatory, right next to Golden Deli and parking in that plaza usually isn't that great. Ordered the regular pure milk ice cream without drizzle and taiyaki with custard filling. The taiyaki was sooo crispy and the custard filling was great, not too sweet. There's also a toppings bar that you can add to your ice cream. Will definitely come back to try the ice cream with drizzles. It's an additional cost. Ordered taiyakis in the side and absolutely loveeeee the moz-dog and will definitely come back for that one.
google avatar

Jessica L.

Yelp
I decided to give this dessert spot a try spontaneously with my friends, and wow, it did not disappoint. The interior is a bit small, but perfect for a quick grab-and-go. The staff were super chill and really helpful. They offer Dole Whip and Taiyaki with a variety of fillings, including some unique ones like cookie butter--my friend absolutely loved that. I opted for the Dole Whip pineapple and milk mix, and it was super delicious. Pro tip: they have a free topping shelf that I sadly noticed only after finishing my ice cream. Can't wait to come back and try the cream cheese-filled Taiyaki next time! Also, I love the spoons, they change color with the cold ice cream!
google avatar

Lydia S.

Yelp
This place is next to Golden Deli. It's s cute little store with some counter/bar style seats and 1 table outside. It can get pretty busy so plan ahead. Parking can bet packed as well too. The soft serve ice cream are good, you have a choice of regular, or with a taiyaki. The taiyaki that comes with the soft serve have an open mouth to fit over the swirl. The regular filled taiyaki are closed mouth. The Mozza-dog is the rectangular looking one. I grabbed 10 taiyakis for$20 and preferred 2 each of the regular taiyaki menu. I did come back to order the taiyaki+menu a couple weeks later to try as well. Every single taiyaki was soooo good! Gotta try them all. It's definitely come back again. This is a must try if you're looking for a dessert place to try.
google avatar

Gabby A.

Yelp
First timer here! Wow it's so delicious! I love got the stuffed Nutella fish with regular ice cream and the flavors were amazing put together with the sweetness of the fish shaped bread! I'm not to sure of the names of it all lol but I loved how they had there own topping station at no charge! Sprinkles, nuts, drizzles! Also the staff was super friendly! Can't wait to visit again.
google avatar

Linda H.

Yelp
Love the Taiyaki with ice cream, but honestly, I am too impatient to wait. Just serve up that milk/pineapple soft serve mix so I can get it in my mouth. Hits the spot and the portion size is good also.
google avatar

Anny O.

Yelp
Taiyaki 4/5 - these were pretty decent but kinda small. Nothing special but good little snack. We came on a Friday night so the line was a bit long and it took a while to get our order.
google avatar

Tracey Z.

Yelp
Cute little shop. I like that they have vegan options!! I got the pineapple dole whip. It was very yummy - wished it was less icey and more smooth. The takoyaki was also very good. Nice springy texture!
google avatar

Yelp
Passion fruit slush was done right. Use real passion fruit and good slush consistency. All other items were enjoyable too. Staff are friendly and smiling.
google avatar

Daniela M.

Yelp
I got the Nutella taiyaki and loved it! It was so nice and warm. I went in during a busier time but the service was still pretty fast and the place is nice

Mel V.

Yelp
I love this place and wish it was closer to my house!! There are not many good soft serve places near me so we will make the drive whenver we are craving soft serve! They have all the flavors I love!!
google avatar

John A.

Yelp
First timer at this cool little "snack shack" of an establishment!!! I have to say I am extremely impressed. First of all, it's soft serve ice cream and if you don't like soft serve ice cream, well, there's help available for you. But , have no fear, soft serve is not all that is served here! They have Taiyaki, which is a fish shaped cone (made in-house) with various current fillings in them. That look sooooo good but this day was soft serve for me. With decent prices and delicious food, I am surprised this store is not busier. The people we met here were so sweet, offering us their own orders right when we walked in, knowing we have never been here before! A must taste experience for anyone in the San Gabriel area!
google avatar

Gill M.

Yelp
I've been here a few times by now. All really kind and hard-working staff. Today around noontime, there were only 2 employees who had to work with so many people in line and some angry customers. Some customers literally shouted/raised their voices multiple times and the employee in the front calmly acknowledged their frustration, apologized, and explained. The customers were still upset but the calm demeanor this employe/cashier was top notch. They are faced with situations like this and they handled it well. Appreciate them! Overall, delicious soft serve ice cream and taiyaki from a small shop. Will return

Denisse C.

Yelp
The taiyaki is delicious the food service is good the only problem is that they need to clean this place
google avatar

Avita G.

Yelp
I've been craving these and happily stumbled upon it today and it wasn't busy so service was great! The food itself was delicious, I got the Nutella, cream cheese and custard. Cute spot for a snack and quick photo op with their sign.
google avatar

Annie T.

Yelp
small little store that offers ice cream with taiyaki and filling inside. i ordered the matcha ice cream with custard filling, which you could never go wrong with! the store workers were super kind and i loved that they had a free topping station where you were free to pack on as much as you'd like. i would come back here!
google avatar

Jessica W.

Yelp
Finally got the chance to try this dessert place after always passing by. I got the pure milk soft serve and 3 pieces of taiyaki in custard and red bean. The soft serve is a nice texture and it's very soft. The milk is a bit too sweet, in my opinion. And you can self serve on several toppings for the soft serve. The taiyaki is very good, just wish that it is a bit more crispy. They give a generous amount of filling inside the taiyaki. Inside is a small place. They only have a bench and a couple of stools. Overall, a great dessert place!
google avatar

Jay N.

Yelp
Taiyakis are tasty and definitely best enjoyed when it's fresh off the grill. Purchased the 5 for $12 which was slightly discounted and their matcha soft serve. Soft serve was a bit sweet and not creamy enough but they did offer unlimited toppings in the front. The addition of the taiyaki was a nice touch. Parking is difficult since it's shared with the known golden deli. Service was quick and store was small with limited seating.
google avatar

Vicky T.

Yelp
The service was great. They were so nice and let me really customize my flavors.. great ambiance. The store was clean lots of toppings to choose from.
google avatar

Damariz V.

Yelp
Wanted something semi sweet and savory so we stopped here because, who doesn't like cute fish shaped treats? Tried the mozza dog, red bean and Nutella. My partner had the custard one with ice cream. The ice cream was delicious, creamy and smooth. Plus they have a topping bar which is great! Can't rate the custard on taste cause someone didn't share, which means it was probably delicious. My least favorite, to my surprise was the red bean. The cheesy, buttery one was surprisingly delicious, I'm glad I got out of my comfort zone.
google avatar

Jack M.

Yelp
We love Taiyaki! I was in town for business and had the craving, so had to visit With Love. I have to say, both the red bean and the custard Taiyaki was the best my wife and I ever had. It was crispy throughout (no under cooked mush), fillings were perfectly balanced (not overly sweet), and the girls who made it for us were a lot of fun to chit chat with. Old people feel good when the younger generation talks with us [c:= We tried a few other Taiyaki places in LA and Sawtelle (names that shall not be mentioned). They were all mushy and didn't even come close to With Love. This place is the standard for us, so give them a try. We bet you will love it!
