Field Day is one of my favorites in Oakland. I always stop by when I'm in town, and usually end up spending lots of money here :) ..because everything is so beautiful! Field Day fits my soul. They feature beautiful artists and makers - jewelry, candles, apothecary needs, clothes.. They have their own Field Day line of clothes made by the owner Trinity, who is such a genius designer! I wish I had all the money to be able to support her, and fill my wardrobe with more of her clothes. I love being in the store and seeing different people try on clothes from the field day line - they look great on so many different body shapes. And the people who work there are warm and kind. Come try it out! Things from Field Day are things that I love - one of a kind, made with care, made to last.. quality, beautiful. A shop with values and a good soul, and it shows.

I cannot believe I am just finding this gem of a store now. The owner is wonderful and willing to help you find the size you need in each design. The clothing designs, which are designed and created in Oakland, are thoughtful and meant to last. If you're looking for an alternative to fast fashion, you'll find it here. I've purchased two Sheet dresses, many of which are made in one-of-a-kind fabrics that make me feel like a good friend custom made me a dress. While not a vintage store per se, some of the items have a beautiful vintage feel for the modern age. And if you aren't local or are local but would prefer pick up, their online shop is wonderful as well. I *highly* recommend checking them out. And maybe you'll be like me and come back as soon as you can!

Just discovered this lovely gem of a shop. I was able to get birthday gifts for two people completed in one stop! Lovely selection of candles, oils, and natural skincare products. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, they were very sweet and helpful. I plan to return!

Great collections in this lovely little shop! Lots of well curated vintage, some Field Day pieces (Oakland brand), and lovely cards, jewelry, BEAUTIFUL ceramics… great place to stumble on a piece you’ll love or a gift for a friend

I went to Field Day this evening for a display of Babes and Botanicals by Angela Lawrence. The art was amazing with the showstopper of California Flora! Angela is very talented. Field Day is a treasure as well! They have beautiful garments, made exquisitely! They have a large variety of women's clothing, jewelry, bags, as well as, essential oils and lotions. They have something for everyone! I will return and send friends to enjoy the art and clothing Field Day has to offer.

I have never written a review before, for any store, restaurant etc. However, my experiences at this store have stuck with me more than a year later. I often bought small gifts from them such as jewelry and herbal products here. One day I decided to try on several of the beautiful clothes they have in the shop, and I believe they design. I was very disappointed to see that all the clothes I tried on would likely only flatter thin and hour glass shapes. When handing the clothes back, the woman at the shop asked me if anything worked and I simply said nothing really worked for me. She decided to instruct me on trying on larger sizes. When I tried to explain to her that the clothes fit but I found them unappealing on me, she proceeded to roll her eyes and made several comments about my appearance. I have never gone back to this store, and encourage others to shop at stores owned by people of color, and considerate to many body shapes and sizes. The clothes at this shop are meant for a very narrow demographic of people. I have never before been body shamed while shopping, not at large malls nor small boutiques. This was one of the worst shopping experiences I can remember.

As a person who is conscious about the ways things are made and the impact of industry on our planet, this is a business I can get behind. Beautifully and ethically curated shop with a range of US made goods from apothecary to jewelry to apparel, all made by independent artists, makers, and healers. The Field Day line gives new life to old fabrics that might otherwise be discarded as landfill, and they do such an exquisite job designing functional garments (with pockets!!!) for femmes who like to get to work, and also play and have fun. The clothes are also made in Oakland! So happy to have found this spot on my way!

This shop is so cute! I was pleasantly surprised to find clothes in my size. They do have plus sized options. The sizing and fit is high quality and the jewelry is so cute!

Great vibes, skincare and clothing. Black owned and it's absolutely beautiful inside. I'm coming back the next time I'm in town!
