Witney Hotel

I really enjoyed my stay at the Witney hotel in June. This is a lovely hotel situated in a beautiful town with all amenities close by. The owners are lovely , really friendly, they made me feel really welcome. The room was very clean, comfortable and had everything you could want for your stay including a kettle , fridge and a microwave. They provided little extras which was nice like a breakfast basket with cereal/continental option , orange juice and a bottle of fizz. Also bathroom necessities. I would definitely recommend this hotel you wont be disappointed.I will definitely be back again :)

Excelent location. The hotel is in center of Witney. There are many good pubs and restourants just 5 min walk from the hotel. My room was sweet and very clean. There were also free foods and drinks in the room which was very kind.

The owners of this hotel go out of the way to make you feel welcome and the breakfast was fantastic. ||The rooms are a little bit dated but very comfortable and we had a great night's sleep. My only criticism of our room was that although it was spotlessly clean overall, there were bits of fluff and dust all over the carpet which I think came off the bottom of the hoover when they were cleaning it. Also, the bathroom had a very feint small of urine in it, despite looking spotlessly clean.||I would still go back there despite the very tiny faults because it was so friendly and in such a nice location.

The room and location were great but a noisy party kept us up all night! This is marketed as an AirBnB which means large parties book and use the lounge and kitchen to party. We had room no 1 next to party central and although the actual party ended at around midnight, there was slamming of doors and yelling until 3 am. We emailed to hotel to complain but had nothing back, We should have been warned so make sure you find out if there is a party staying before you book, We had a long drive home and were exhausted!

We had a really lovely stay at the Witney Hotel thanks to Emma. Very communicative, helped us with the setting up of the room for our family of four, and generally very pleasant to deal with. Room was clean, smelled lovely and had a nice little breakfast selection with bubbles for the next day. ||Given its location on the green in Witney, it was a little noisy in the evening with the passing Saturday evening revellers so it might not be for light sleepers, fine for us though. ||Be aware that there are pictures of a common area on the internet but are not accessible to staying guests. This did mean that we were a little confined to the room with the kids while they slept. It may be an idea for them to try and remove these where possible as it may be a little misleading. ||However, the price was very competitive and we weren’t staying in a Travelodge/Premier Inn which is what we’d prefer. ||But on the whole we had a wonderful stay and would happily come again, thanks Emma!

Our overnight stay at The Witney Hotel exceeded our expectations for the room rate. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the staff were polite, helpful and friendly. The room was clean and very comfortable. The little extra touches such as the free refrigerated bottled water, complimentary cakes and complimentary coffee machine were much appreciated. That breakfast was ample, beautifully cooked and served promptly with as much tea, coffee, juice and toast as we wanted. Great location alongside the beautiful church green and close to the centre of town. Will definitely go back.

We only stayed one night here but it was perfect for what we wanted and excellent value too. The owner was welcoming upon arrival and thought and care had been put into the decor, it was tasteful but homely. They go the extra mile for their guests here providing tea, coffee, hot choc etc in a lovely little back room, with cakes and biscuits also. Yummy! This was all above and beyond as there were tea and coffee making facilities in the room also. The full vegetarian breakfast I had was really good. The parking was a little bit difficult but location was perfect as we were visiting the wychwood brewery for a tour and it was just a couple of minutes walk away.

Excellent stay! Very hospitable personnel. GREAT bed! Though the bathroom is a bit small for somebody over 1.90m. The ambiance and the room are great! There was quite a lot of noise from people outside. But this was to be expected with all the windows open on a Saturday night. Highly recommend this hotel and will stay here in the future!

Great place for family of 5 visiting Oxford. Full English breakfast is served. Room in the attic is nice but beware of the low beams.
