We chose Whittenberg by Cove because we were looking for an apartment with two bedrooms for four adults for a week long visit to Amsterdam. We were unimpressed by the rental app choices and this was a great option. It was clean, the beds were comfortable and the shared living space was nice. The kitchen had basic equipment for us to cook simple meals and the shared living space was comfortable. It was nice to have a dishwasher and washer. Staff were always nearby, if not immediately at the desk and were friendly and helpful. We also liked the neighborhood, away from the touristy spots but with nice cafes nearby. (We especially recommend Cafe Koosje and the Bakhuys Amsterdam.) All in all a great choice if you are looking for an apartment.

Nia went above and beyond to make sure my stay at Wittenberg was amazing. She was very friendly, and made sure I had everything I needed, from extra towels and body wash and laundry packs-- to helping me book a room. Concierge was just a phone text away 24 hour service. The property is excellently located and very quiet. A nice walk to the center of Amsterdam and much better value for the modernity and large sized units. My top floor corner unit felt like a penthouse. 1 bedroom apartment-style full kitchen dining and living room with king sized bed. Its the ideal home in Amsterdam. Thanks again Wittenberg, will visit again soon! ❤️

Fantastic hotel and staff. We stayed here for my sister in laws wedding in May and the room, staff and location was so above my expectations. The hotel is in a great location. Close enough to tourist locations and fun neighborhoods but far enough away for it all to be quite at night. The staff made our experience amazing. The night before the wedding a wedding guest injured themselves while outside On a walk. Doni helped us find the closest hospital for them. We are from the states and not familiar with how there healthcare system worked. He explained how it works at ER and called to get the in the que o. His personal phone! Amazing staff and super friendly. We will definitely stay here again when going to Amsterdam!

Overall, my stay was pleasant. The staff provided utensils for cooking—though they were not fully sufficient, I managed. The checkout time was clearly mentioned in the terms and conditions; however, due to unforeseen circumstances, I was delayed by about half an hour. Initially, I was asked to pay an additional day’s charge, but after discussion, they kindly agreed to waive it. I appreciate their cooperation.||The property is clean, well-maintained, and conveniently located near the city center, with public transportation just a short walk away. I would definitely recommend staying here, and if I return, I’d choose Wittenberg by Cove again.

Very disappointing stay. We spent 7 days at Wittenberg and there was no clear resolution to any problem we raised throughout the entire stay. The biggest issue was the cold. We were freezing the whole time—outside and inside the apartment. One of the heaters was completely cold and did not work at all. Despite repeatedly speaking to the staff, nothing was fixed. We were told that heaters are only turned on during the day and kept at 22°C, which might be acceptable in summer but is absolutely inadequate in winter. The apartment remained uncomfortably cold at all times. Cleanliness and basic amenities were also unacceptable. The bed was visibly stained from the moment we arrived. The shampoo bottle provided in the apartment was empty and lasted us only one day, with no proper replacement. To make things worse, for our anniversary they claimed to “upgrade” us, but instead moved us to a cheaper, worse room than the one we had originally booked. Overall, there was nothing good about the apartment or the stay except for the view — and that is literally the only positive. Everything else fell far below expectations. I would not recommend staying here.

We had a lovely week long stay here in November. The beds were very comfortable, it was extremely clean, and the staff were very friendly/helpful. The location was quiet and very close to the tram and many great breakfast spots.

Over priced scam and criminal!!!!! 10 nights £1600 over Christmas was left in an absolute freezing shivering apartment, the heating is atrocious and is literally going to make someone sick. They even turn your heating off between 12am and 6am so going to the toilet is like going outside in the winter it's a disgrace. Not only that for whole 10days there was no room service which I had to complain about I ended up washing all my own bedding and towels on Xmas day absolutely ruined, then to top it all off housekeeping stole £500 worth of shorts from me and I was told they must be in the bin! I forgot to pack them.got to new hotel realised they're all gone and that was my response. Absolute theft criminal dirty filthy place.

I'm sorry, but I really didn't like this last room at all. It's clear that the Wittenberg I was talking about, the ones I booked every year, were the rooms on the upper floors, where you find that harmony and rest I was looking for... This time it wasn't like that. The room felt like a converted storage room on the ground floor, right next to the entrance door, where all the tourists arriving for their stay could hear the constant opening and closing of the door and their suitcases... One window with white vinyl, another window overlooking the parking area, where tourists and cyclists from the same hotel, or the occasional curious smoker, could also pass by. In the end, we spent almost 10 days with everything closed, and we paid more than usual. Anyway, etc., etc.... I'm not keen on staying at Wittenberg by Cove again, though. Ciao and Happy New Year!
