A really disappointing interaction with a business I really like shopping from and was met with poor customer service and tone, in particular from Leonie.

I like that little shop ,have bought a few vintage clothes from them already. You can't go wrong with them ,they last. As you'd expect from all the new stuff they stock especially as they aren't cheep... I bought a duvet coat made by OneYearCollective last winter for £340 thinking it will see me through a few winters. I wore it for about 2 months at the end of last winter and about a month into this one and the polyester filling has shifted so much already from the neck area that there's nothing left apart from the thin fabric. Also I noticed it gathering up in places creating lumps as there's not much sticking between 'cavities' to hold the filler in place. I expect the more I'll wear it the more it will all shift down. Not what you expect for that price. As its a mustard colour it could do with a dry clean but I haven't got much hope that it would survive one. So no, don't fall for the lovely looking design.

THE BEST SHOP EVER. Curation is some of the best vintage you’ll find in the U.K. The brands always current and I will continually pump my wages into the shops. I’ve been shopping here for about 6 years now and it gets better!!

Yelp
I can't believe I haven't written about Wolf & Gypsy before. A designer boutique on Sydney Street, it specialises in vintage fashion for men and women. Last time I popped in there was a couple of dresses from the fifties but the majority of outfits are from the sixties and seventies. We're not talking about tatty flares either but stylish dresses, blouses and wide leg trousers for women and cool shirts, cardigans and figure hugging Levi's for men. Refreshingly, everything is reasonably priced and the stock is in very good to excellent condition.

Yelp
I instantly loved Wolf and Gypsy. I'm a long time fan of second hand shops, but oh, the effort of weeding through racks of duds for that one stylish Find. Well, if you're not feeling up to the time sucking search, Wolf and Gypsy has already done the leg work. Racks of Finds for both men and women are available throughout the shop. Prices aren't bad - in the £15 - £25 range. Records and collectables are available upstairs, but "he just stepped out for about half an hour" I was told, and so will have to leave that for another time.

Yelp
This is a fantastic new vintage shop alongside the gorgeous and stunning Hope and Harlequin. Where Hope and Harlequin specialise in rare beauties from the twenties, thirties and forties (with some later items), Wolf and Gypsy pick up with a collection that focuses on the sixties and seventies. The pieces in this shop are great everyday pieces, with some very wearable print dresses, cool pussy bow blouses and fun seventies heels. They also offer a very cool backroom filled with men's vintage goodies- seventies kipper ties, cashmere cardigans, print shirts, vintage levi's. The decor and feel is very much swinging sixties with touches of orange, avocado, bronze and mirrors. The prices are affordable- I didn't see a thing over £80 and everything else fell between £20-£40.

Yelp
Mod, sixties and 70's second-hand dandy clobber. Wolf and Gyspy have fine taste and trip here will save some time searching through the rails of every other charity shop in Brighton with little luck. Personally I like the 70's for that occassional Butt magazine look on Brighton beach, and to show off some hairy chestness strutting through town, which I intend to do more of this year. Compared to other second hand shops, the prices are very good, a lot of second hand boutiques have opened up in central london in recent years but they are simply tooooo pricey. Start growing that tache now.

Yelp
Wolf and Gypsy is a kind of second hand aggregator shop: they purposefully buy the coolest pieces of second hand gear and sell them on to you, the customer. A cool idea, and the resulting items are certainly come of the nicer second-hand pieces I've seen in quite some time. That being said, there is a definite style choice going on here: most of the stock is sixties and seventies. Not a bad thing, just not as open an aggregator as I had hoped at first glance. Still, there is plenty right here. The rails for men and women are mercifully short, only the best items seem to make it onto the shop floor, meaning a browsing session is pleasantly short and eventful. The quality of the items means you'll always see one or two things that you just love, although you'll have to contend with the one size they have on the rack. That being said, the prices are very reasonable indeed, so there is plenty here to like! Just hope they have it in your size.

Yelp
Another addition to the vintage boutiques that have popped up in the Sydney St area over the past year or so, Wolf and Gypsy's stock fluctuates in quality. Sometimes you can go in there and find gems that could compete with Harlequins stock a few doors down, and other times you'll find below average garments which aren't worth the above average price tag. This said, the staff in there are always very friendly and willing to assist, and they do stock a range of clothes from the 1960s and 70s, so if you know you're after this kind of thing then Wolf and Gypsy is the place to head to.

Yelp
A great little vintage shop stocking high quality clothes mainly from the 60's/70's. It would be nice to see some pieces pre-60's, but the selection they have on offer is beautifully curated, you wont have to root around piles of junk to find a gem. Of course, you have to pay a little more for hand-picked quality vintage, but it's worth not having to rummage!
