Wolf and Swill Pizzeria offers a delightful ambiance with its charming décor and warm, moody retro finish. The venue itself feels welcoming when walking in, setting the stage for what could have been a memorable dining experience. The food, without a doubt, shines here. We started with the prosciutto, served with pear and pickled cabbage, alongside their freshly baked bread; a combination that was nothing short of delightful. The Margherita pizza we also rate highly, boasting a fluffy crust with great chew and a good char. The toppings were fresh, flavourful, and elevated the pizza to another level. The burnt cabbage salad with anchovy and almonds was tremendous, a well-balanced side dish with excellent texture. However, the service was a notable letdown. While the food was served promptly, our waitress’s flat presentation and moody demeanor detracted from the experience. Her lack of engagement and off-putting attitude was disappointing, especially when compared to the warm hospitality we've encountered at other pizzerias on our Melbourne pizza tour. Maybe she was having an off night, but first impressions do last. In conclusion, while the food at Wolf and Swill is undeniably good, the overall dining experience was marred by lackluster service, leaving us feeling awkward rather than satisfied. With a little more attention to hospitality, this pizzeria could easily become a favourite.

Still as awesome as ever! We didn’t realise it was Margarita Monday, it was packed and we did not have a booking. That said the staff were really lovely and found us a table. As the table was out the back they even wheeled the heater over to us in case we got cold! After we got comfortable we then ordered the Margarita (obviously!) and Potato Pizzas and both were delicious! Without a doubt still some of the greatest pizzas in Melbourne! There is a great vibe here with very attentive staff and it’s busy most of the time but we would definitely suggest that you be patient, as the wait is worth it!

Amazing pizzas. Dough-y goodness with great topping options. Not much else to say really. Highly recommend! There seems to be a reasonable amount of seating inside. Staff even gave us a booth (for two) when I requested comfortable seating in the booking since it was a special occasion.

Pretty damn good pizzas in Thornbury 🍕 Stopped by for happy hour ($12 espresso martinis, aperol spritz, and blood orange margaritas) and stayed for lunch. We ordered a few pizzas - hot honey, honey garlic, and mushroom - and a few cocktails. Hot honey was my favourite but we definitely added more chilli oil as it wasn’t hot enough 🌶️ pizzas are reasonably priced for the quality of food. Indoor seating hosted was a cute florist popup 💐🌸 loved seeing local businesses supporting other businesses. Outdoor seating was spruced with spring tings, so bring ya antihistamines if you have allergies. W&S also now open for brunch service from 8am!

Great cozy local bar atmosphere, daily wine list and well executed, creative small plate sharing menu. We really enjoyed our light dinner, cheese plate and drinks. We’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu. Unlike many places with mix and match sharing menus, some of the dishes were properly spicy (in a very good way), which was a pleasant surprise. Lots of clearly labeled veg, vegan and gluten free options too.

Love love love this cool venue on High Street, Thornbury. The pizzas are so damn delicious I dream of them literally every second week. The honey and garlic is out of this with delicious, and we tried the sausage pizza this time too, also amazing. Espresso martini and Classic Marg were on point. Amazing service and fab vibes, we love coming here!

Some of the best pizzas I’ve had in a long time. I ordered the affordably priced Margherita ($20) and the pricier sweet potato and pear ($27) and can confirm it was worth every penny. Wood fired crust was delightfully chewy, toppings were generous and flavour combos were spot on.

Service and atmosphere are both amazing and if you can eat gluten, this place is fab (I’ve been here a few times before my tummy decided to be a pest). Im writing this review for the gluten free people (can’t believe I’m now one of those people). The GF base adds $5 to the bill and it’s a bit disappointing - very thick / bready texture and very under cooked. I appreciate dietaries are hard but it’s 2023, and gluten intolerance is one of the more common dietaries so it’s not too hard to accommodate. The pizza toppings were delicious, flavours were so yum, it was just the base that was a bummer - but that’s an easy fix! It was very expensive though at $62 for one martini and one pizza.
