In the age of fancy rv resorts this campground is a refreshing throwback to what made camping popular. It is a rustic forested no frills quiet secret hideaway for us. No pool, no playground, no dog park, just well kept shaded sites at an affordable price. On the quiet side of Lake Winnipesaukee there are natural places to swim and fish anyway. Not suitable for big rigs, probably 30 ft or less only. Nice tent sites too. Resembles your typical state park primitive campground. With the cost of resorts where you pay more for things you don't need, staying here allows us to enjoy New Hampshire more when otherwise we would just shorten our stay. That is why we love Wolfeboro campground.

Awesome campground, large, natural, well spaced quiet spots with nice fire pits. No pool or group areas, just straight up camping. 10 minutes away from the center of Wolfeboro and all the tourist amenities! Management is visibly on site offering clean restrooms and shower facilities (bring quarters) and reasonably priced dry firewood.

We stayed 5 days and had fun every single day we spent here. The tenting areas are kept so clean and the ambiance is absolutely stunning. It’s nice and quiet, off the main road enough that there is no sound but you are still close enough to what is available. Living in the area for nearly 20 years was enough for us to camp here and now we wish we had known it was here before we moved away!!!! The only thing I would warn about is the bugs and need for bug spray, as well as having change on hand for showers. Otherwise it was genuinely such a great time!

Very wooded and private. Absolutely no amenities, just peace and quiet. This is an untouched forested area with full hookups. No cable and very limited over air channels. Bathrooms are old and rustic, but clean. Pay showers 25 cents for 5 minutes. Owner does not stay in office but is easily accessible, friendly and very helpful. Close to town which made for a nice afternoon strolling the shops and a ride on lake Winnipesaukee. I would not recommend trying to get in here with big rid however. It might be doable in some of the sites near the front, but not on the loop where we were. Seems like mostly long term residents, but all sites clean and tasteful.

This is actual camping, very wooded, quiet, and fairly small which is what we prefer. There weren't a bunch of loud kids running or screaming. You're not crammed in, privacy between sites. We experienced a very light amount of mosquitoes in general, plus candles can help w/that. Very long trails on property to let dogs go, plus no breed restrictions. We absolutely loved the owner Warren, very personable and cared about our comfort or needs. Wifi most of the time was good, TV signal not so much. You're very close to downtown Wolfeboro. This is true camping. If you're bringing bikes or kayaks you'll have to take them to a destination for use. Will definitely come back.

So peaceful and quite! Clean restrooms. We were so busy boating and sightseeing. Loved coming back at the end of the day to our little retreat and cozy campfire. If you have children that need lots of amenities this is probably not the campground for you.

A quiet campground, tucked away in the woods just outside of wolfaboro. The owner is very nice and friendly. The bathrooms are clean and the showers are decent. The sites are pleasantly separated by trees, so you feel like you get privacy from your neighbor.

This is a great camping spot. We stayed for 6days and had a great time. Firewood is cheap and vary generous .RV sites has electric, water & sewer Max size of camper is 31 ' It is NH so be ready for bugs. Bathrooms clean. . Talk to Warren the the seasoned local For good info. WIFI is a bit spotty. Tell the kids to disconnect. Rail trail is real close bring bikes and beach is close too. Wolfeboro is a cool place to hang out.

Yelp
My wife, my dog and me spent two very relaxing days at the facility. The site was large and clean - covered with pine needles. The sites were well spaced with some shrubs and ground cover providing a nice barrier. It was quite and peaceful. The rest rooms and shower house were clean. There are garbage cans at each site which are emptied regularly. Best of all Warren was friendly and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Yelp
We camped at one of their tent spots for a night, and it was everything we wanted. The people running the campground were very nice. The bathrooms were impeccable. Firewood on site was abundant and reasonably priced. There were several water spigots around the tent sites. A nice shack to wash dishes by the bathrooms. And expansive wifi that covered our site, even when cell service was very weak. (We had to ask, the password is the phone number on the map they give you.) It's an easy drive to Lake Winnipesaukee. There is also Albee Beach in between on Lake Wentworth. A caveat, it was rather empty when we went, so I don't know what it would be like fully booked.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at Wolfeboro Campground. It was hands down the best campground we have stayed in. The campground is situated in a woodsy, serene area away from the road. The campsites are a good size and not stacked one on top of another like other places we have stayed. And there is plenty of privacy between the sites. There is a logging path that is great to walk and hear nothing but the sounds of nature. Warren is always around to answer any questions you may have. An you get a good deal of firewood for a great price. We were sorry to leave but will return with our grandchildren!

Yelp
We stopped in for one night in our RV. The campsites are beautiful -huge, spaced out and well kept. The bathrooms were extremely clean! The owner Warren is super nice- I wish we would of had more time to chat with him. I'll just tell parents that there isn't a playground, pillow, etc, but my kids loved just building a fort in the woods.

Yelp
Went with my girlfriend over the weekend. Really enjoyed the surroundings. Tons of trees, good sized camp sites (we're tent campers). I appreciated the recycling cans throughout the site. The guy running it was available if we ever needed anything. If I were to say anything as a downside, it would be the traffic noise from Rt. 28. It's all but gone in the late evenings but it's there during the day for sure. I'm being a little on the picky side with that "downside" because it wasn't super loud. We'd definitely go back or suggest it to friends.
