We stayed at the inn for our 26th anniversary. The grounds were beautiful with a fantastic view of the lake. Our room was big, comfortable and clean. The staff made us feel like family and breakfast was one of the best I've ever tasted.

Had a fun girls trip over the weekend. Emily at the tavern bar was a joy to chat with before we went out on the town! The apps at the tavern bar were delicious, as well as the breakfast the day before at their cafe! Their chef is definitely a hidden gem and I can’t wait to see what they have on the menu for our next visit. Amber and the young man serving the breakfast were very sweet and working hard the whole morning! Looking forward to our next stay or even considering their event spaces for the future.

The staff is not nice to families. We booked two suites in the off season with our 3 year old, 7 year old and 10 year old. We arrived in the afternoon and the staff immediately harassed my wife and kids because the kids were running in the hallway going to the room. The desk clerk yelled from the first floor to the second floor through the lobby "stop running". Than the general manager banged on our door and told my wife we needed to get our kids under control. This occurred around 4pm in the off season, with about 3 cars in the lot and no other guests in sight. We asked if any other guests complained they said no the staff complained. I asked the desk person who yelled at my family she said she did. I asked her what they do in peak season when the town is filled and families are there everyday she said we normally don't have children in this hotel and to talk to the general manager if I had questions. After repeated harassment by the staff my wife said she wanted to drive home 2.5 hrs. We packed up our stuff and left. I told the desk clerk not to charge us since she could not accommodate but she charged us. When checking in with the kids she also tried to say we didn't book one of the rooms. We left and won't go back. The breakfast buffet was not uedible food. Cold sausages, all processed food. The bacon was hard rubber like, the bread was like an elastic. We couldnt eat a bite of it. I would not recommend staying here the staff doesn't like kids and they don't want any kids there and they are not polite or accommodating.

Although the place is dated it is very very clean and it's situated in the most beautiful little town with Gorgeous stores and shops. But what I was mostly impressed with was the receptionist I forgot her name but she was the nicest person I have ever met in the business just a genuinely kind person it meant so much to me to see somebody treat me with respect and actually caring so for that they get five stars!

People seem to forget that Wolfeboro is the oldest resort town in America. There are no fancy hotels in the town and that is it's charm. Our king room was large, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had been renovated. There was a small balcony off of a slider. The staff was great, very helpful. Being off-season, there is no 24 hour housekeeping, but what hotel does? The front desk offered whatever we needed, and as far as ice goes, they stated they could go to the kitchen and get us some if we wanted. The room was VERY clean and the hotel décor had charm and was very cozy. For those who wrote the room was not clean , we didn't experience that at all. If you are looking for a high class and expensive hotel in Wolfboro, not going to find it, but this place is a gem.

The Wolfeboro Inn was an interesting experience. We stayed there for a hockey tournament with 5 of the families of our team. The kids got a little rowdy (in the afternoon) but nothing major. The staff let us know that we would need to leave if it continued because they have doctor's sleeping during the day there. The building is old but has nice character and was fairly clean, with the exception of the shower which could use a good corner scrub. I wasn't super impressed at the hot water situation. We were told at check in that it take a while for it to warm up, but the day of our check out there was no hot water in the entire building. The lobby coffee and tea was only available in the AM which kind of stunk, especially in the cold winter. We also didn't have any extra toilet paper in the room which was inconvenient when discovered when needed. The restaurant was expensive but tasty. They make their own bacon and had a lot of homemade options. It was just one gentleman working and he was great but could have used a hand. Overall, the stay wasn't terrible. Sometimes the devil is in the details. I would consider returning with just my husband for a weekend away but not a kid oriented hopping place.

Stayed 3 nites in late April 2025. The hotel is situated in downtown, so it is convenient to shops and restaurants. The room was large but very spartan. Only one chair. | Shower had some mold in one corner. There was no housekeeping service. There was no heat - outside air temp in low 40's but a space heater was provided which did the trick. Second and third nites had guests in the room above. Could hear every move they made. All and all, too expensive for the room and service provided.

Yelp
My family has been going to Wolfboro every summer for roughly 45 years (which is before I was born, so all of my life.) This year, my family was up for their yearly 2 week stay and I decided I was able to come up for a few days with my gf and dog. I'm only able to come up for a few days due to personal issues and, not to go into it, need an emotional support animal when doing so. I've never had a hotel have an issue with an ESA and want to charge $50 for one. My dog is trained, will not bark in the room, will not make a mess, and is most hypoallergenic (he sheds a little but not much.) Anyway, we called the Wolfeboro Inn a few days prior to arrival just to let them know we're bringing him and will have paperwork etc. We were met with the downplaying of my disability and them letting us know unless we were "physically disabled, like being blind..." etc. we need to pay. While hotels, don't *have* to waive a fee for ESAs, it's crazy to hear someone actively dismissing a "mental disability" compared to a "physical disability". I know people have their opinions on mental health, and unfortunately it is seen as *lesser than* compared to things you can "see" but when you live with it, you know it is very real. The difference between what you "have to do" and what is the "right thing to do" makes all the difference to show the heart of a company. If this ended up being a supportive hotel, that wasn't stuck in the stone-ages, it would have 100% become our yearly place to stay -- but unfortunately we had to cancel and never will be stepping foot into the establishment. It's a win/win I suppose, I will receive the ~$330 back that I paid for 2 nights and they can hopefully book someone they actually want as a guest. I'm sure it's a fine hotel, but it's the first one (and we've stayed in major hotels as well as boutique hotels) we've ever had this issue with, so just be warned prior -- if you're bringing an animal, make sure you have enough of a disability for their liking.

Yelp
We booked online through the Wolfeboro Inn website. They cancelled our reservation one week before our arrival date because they overbooked and don't have any rooms available.

Yelp
We stayed in a historic king room for two nights in Sept. 2024, and it was a disappointing experience. We should have left right away but we arrived too late So we decided to make do. Our room wasn't clean. The furniture was dusty, crumbs and bits of paper in the corners. After walking on the floor, the bottom of my socks came away dirty. I wore flip flops whenever we were in the room. We tried to clean the floor with a towel and it cam away dusty. The mattress was covered by only a thin sheet and there was no mattress pad. The mattress did not smell good, so we ended up sleeping on top of the covers. Mattress pads have a purpose. When we opened the extra cover from the closet, it had other people hair on it. The water had a brown tinge to it, so we only used bottled water to brush our teeth. They didn't offer daily housekeeping services. So, no fresh towels the next day. You just couldn't be comfortable in the room. The room was a renovated but it still had issues. The water from the shower flooded the bathroom floor, because the glass partition was not wide enough. The toilet paper holder slanted downward. The blinds were not replaced and coated with dust. There was paint on the towel hooks. The bed had a definite slope from the foot to the head. Overall, the hotel was showing signs of neglect. The hallways were not vacuumed and had an unpleasant odor. A sidelight on the front door was cracked and the glass shattered. The ice machine was out of order. It didn't have any amenities that you could get at most hotels. No coffee pot in the room, restaurant was closed for renovations. Our stay was very disappointing. I wouldn't stay here again. We paid about $700 for two nights and it was definitely not worth that amount of money. They even added a resort/amenities fee and added a percentage on top to use a credit card.

Matt S.

Yelp
Stayed here for a night with my grandfather. The staff saw he's handicapped and were very accommodating and moved us to a better room that wouldn't be a far walk for him. The rooms are a little dated but they're also the most affordable place in the area!

Priscilla G.

Yelp
Two months later and still no response from the hotel manager. They simply don't care!

Laura P.

Yelp
My parents stayed at the hotel three weeks ago. It was so disappointing. The towels were thread bare. There was no maid service. And my parents were never told this. The rooms was dated and there was also a 5% fee for using a credit card!!! Not told at the time of making the reservation. We live in Wolfeboro. And will not recommend this

Dario F.

Yelp
Great location and very nice and friendly staff. The room was clean and the grounds were beautiful with a private dock and beach.

Mike B.

Yelp
I first want to apologize for taking so long to write this update but when looking at my past reviews, I found this to be long overdue. Shortly after writing my review for Wolfeboro Inn, I was contacted by management who appeared quite concerned that we didn't enjoy our stay. While I stand by my original review, my discussions led me to believe they would address my issues and were sincerely apologetic. Based on this experience, I would definitely give Wolfeboro Inn another chance as I believe our experience will be much better. I had to put a "star" rating on my update so I gave management and their response 5 stars and averaged it with my original review. I'm pretty confident my next stay will generate an even higher rating.

Nina Q.

Yelp
Not even deserve a star. The worst place I have ever stayed. Please run and don't even think to staying here. The room was dirty carpet stained and tiles broken. Cobb Webb in the lobby chandelier. We do NOT recommend this inn.the staffs were unfriendly never even asked us how was our stay.such a shame.

Yelp
Made reservations online in February for an August visit. The process was per usual and went okay. We arrived and the first thing we noticed was that the exterior could have used a little more upkeep. Not a big deal. It wasn't until we got to our room that we noticed there was a note in our welcome packet saying there were no housekeeping services. At all. This is something that should have been communicated when we made the reservation or at the very least, been told by the front desk person. The room itself was okay. Could use a little updating. The mattress on the other hand was terrible. When I sat down on the side of the bed I sank in more than half way. Not good at all. There were also no robes and slippers as advertised on the web page. The bathroom was completely functional but could also stand a little updating. Went to dinner at the restaurant downstairs and the staff was very friendly. I ordered a NY Strip steak - cooked medium. When it arrived I discovered it was very rare. I sent it back asking that it be cooked the way I asked. It came out looking like it was barely re-heated. The waitress and manager apologized profusely. They took it off the bill and gave me a complimentary beer by way of an apology. We visited their beach the next day and was a little surprised to see it also looking a little shabby. There were chairs to sit on but the beach area itself was full of large rocks and ruts. A truckload or two of sand would have cleaned it up and made it a lot better. The staff was very friendly and helpful but I don't think I would recommend it to a friend nor do I think we will make a return visit.

Yelp
Not even sure where to begin with the number of disappointments we experienced here. We booked two rooms, each to have two queen beds in January for a stay in October. Several weeks before the intended stay we attempted to contact the Inn, and it took four calls to them before we received a response. When we checked in, we only had one room with two beds (which were full size beds, not queen as advertised), but the other room had only one full size bed. When brought to the attention of the front desk, we were told that they switched it to the one bed in the "historic" part of the hotel, so the cost of the one bed was the same price as a two bed. Since we were in a hurry to get ready for a wedding, we decided to deal with it the next day. The following morning, the person at the front desk offered to give a new room, but wanted to charge an additional $125. She was serious. We had to show our confirmation documents to stop her from claiming we must have ordered differently on the web site. After much time explaining the situation over and over, and providing proof of our reservation did she finally agree to change the room at no extra charge. If that frustration wasn't enough, our original two bed room, was overrun with fruit flies, and not accessable by elevator on the 3rd floor. Which may not be too bad for most people, it was quite difficult for me because of arthritic knees. There was no warning that part of the hotel was not handicap accessible. Most definitely would not stay here again, and certainly do not recommend!

Robin K.

Yelp
Nice staff, but a very neglected facility. The website was very misleading. There was no sign of a boat, the dock was rotting and dangerous. Two feet of sand hardly qualifies as a beach. We did not eat our meal in the hotel restaurant as it was so poorly prepared. We were afraid we would get sick! Apparently the Inn is owned by a big company (absentee landlord) who buys up old Inns and apparently is not interested in maintenance.

Claire D.

Yelp
Arrived at 1, was told room wasn't ready. Went in town, they called and said our room was ready. Get to the desk, your room has something wrong with it, here's a room in the lobby. The room also was sharing the same patio as a freakin wedding. We had a 15 year old and a 2 year old with us who were up all night due to the set up of the room, the noise in the lobby and the wedding directly outside our door. They aren't doing housekeeping so no one got our trash or gave us towels etc. I had to pack up the trash from each barrel and place it outside the door for them to take. Which was in the lobby. Toilet seat was wobbly as was the toilet itself. Glass shelf below the vanity sink was wobbly and kind of concerning. Crumbs in the seats and under the chairs, crumbs and trash in the pull out couch. I wouldn't walk around without slippers or shoes on. There was also a musky odor and we all had stuffy noses every morning, not sure what that was all about. No rollaway beds, no pack and plays, just a single inflatable mattress for our 2 year old. That was fantastic. People that work in the tavern were awesome and friendly. Other than that, never ever coming back.

Yelp
We have been staying at the Wolfeboro Inn once or twice a year for about 15 years. This year we needed a room for our granddaughter's graduation. We understand that everyone in the country is short staffed right now and the Wolfeboro Inn is no exception. Our room cost $439 plus tax per night. We were fine with making our own bed and taking care of our room. But we were not fine with polyester sheets, and no mattress pad on the bed and limited towels. I went downstairs and begged for cotton sheets, knowing that there had to be some in the hotel since I had stayed there so many other times and never encountered a slimy polyester sheet before. They were able to find me one sheet. Still no mattress pad. I don't even think that's legal as far as health department goes! The restaurant was also understaffed with one person serving and one person cooking. We had a reservation for dinner for 10 people, but no table is set. I will say that the wait person bent over backwards to help us. We also helped her by clearing the table! We will of course stay at this hotel again because it is lovely but we will be bringing our own sheets and towels.

Jae B.

Yelp
Saturday at 4, we skipped lunch and popped in here to be told without reservations there would not be a table available...we asked if we could sit at the bar and the four of us sat on four corner stools. The service was good, the food was ok, not great and was very limited. Steak tips, fish and chips, and chips and brussell sprouts and fried asparagus , as appetizers. The barkeep was great and very busy! We were there two hours and only saw one couple get seated in dining room, while everyone else piled into the bar. Still scratching my head to figure out their business strategy!

Maria C.

Yelp
We checked in today for a wedding. If it weren't for my husband being in his best friends wedding, I would have us leave and stay else where. Hotel lobby is beautiful, rooms are very outdated. I wish there was a full length mirror or a counter in the bathroom. The wifi doesn't exist...it disconnects every 5 second. I'm hearing there's a wonderful breakfast buffet normally, but during COVID it doesn't exist. Daily housekeeping services will not be provided either. There's a $10/day resort fee to use the gym down the street. I'm not sure what I'm paying over $350 a room per night for...except location. There are much better places to stay right in downtown. I had to add more as the weekend went on. The food at the rehearsal dinner and wedding was a 2 out of 10. The best tasting items were the spanakopita and pickled vegetable appetizers. Even the draft beer and draft soda is terrible...the bartender told us as she handed my husband his bud light... The one positive thing to say about the wedding was the outside ceremony was nicely done as well as the set up for the reception. Other than that, I can't believe this place got "best of weddings 2020" from the Knot. I would never have a wedding here and force my family to stay at the over priced sad place.

Solmaria D.

Yelp
Stayed here for one night to have a quick getaway and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Lakes region. The exterior of the property is beautiful, and there is a private beach for hotel guests to utilize. The lobby and entrance area are beautiful, with its touch of rustic charm. The room itself, however, left a lot to be desired. Could definitely use an update. The bed was TERRIBLE, worst sleep I've gotten in a long time. The staff was very friendly and professional, and I'm certain this place would be great if they invested into giving the rooms a facelift, or at least get some comfortable beds. Location is great, walking into town to check out the restaurants and shops was very nice.

J C.

Yelp
They got a one star as there are no options for no or negative stars WORST PLACE THAT WE EVR HAVE HAD THE DISPLEASURE OF STAYING AT. We were here for an area wedding Where to begin: 1. MULTIPLE attempts to reach ANYONE to see about early check in. And when we did, that was an issue 2. Asked for a double room as did our friends. They got one in the historic part of the building. We were substituted a tiny room but paid the same fee as our hobbit room was in the historic building . (Well...so was our friends) 3. NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OR ACCEPTANCE OF THEIR SCREW UP 4. we were offered a double (what we asked for) for MORE money I WOULD NOT LET MY DOG ATAY HERE. CRAPPY ROOMS, CRAPPY ATTITUDE‼ And I all transparency, my first ever horrible Yelp review

Lori U.

Yelp
We've been here an hour and already know we won't be back. Booked a room with a lake view 8 months ago, and were assigned a first floor room with a view of ac units in one window and the solid fence and wood pile from the slider. The parking lot has a better view. Bathroom sink water is barely a trickle with both faucets fully open. We were told there was nothing they could do for us, but offered a 10% discount. When I asked the office guy to confirm our rate per night, he said he couldn't disclose that? Seriously, great way to start Columbus Day weekend.

Edward N.

Yelp
We stayed at the Wolfeboro Inn Sept 8 - 11th 2022. We had a large room with a lake view. I believe this is the most expensive room they rent. The room itself was very outdated and not that clean. You could feel the springs coming through the mattress. We were charged a "Resort Fee" which we were not told about during the booking or confirmation process. We were told we would not get room service unless we stayed 4 nights. We had to empty our own trash and remove our own towels. We were only allowed 2 towels per day. We normally both take 2 showers every day. The staff was not very attentive and seemed bothered by our simple requests. I would not recommend this lodging to anybody.

Maureen S.

Yelp
I will give them 1 star for the girls at the desk. They were very nice and helpful This was a big disappointment! I have vacationed in the lakes region all my life aNd was so looking forward to staying at the Wolfeboro Inn. I will never go again or recommend it. It was dirty! The mattress had stains on it and no mattress cover the pillows had sweat stains with only a pillow case and no pillow covers!!! We had 2 rooms for 2 nights at 375.00!!! Per room. The rug was filthy. My sister walked with white socks on in the room for maybe a few minutes and the bottom of her socks were filthy!!!! The bathroom was bad also. The shower curtain hung 6 inches above the the bottom and I had to use towels to wipe up all the water after taking a shower. The single room my other sister stayed in was no better! My sister who booked and paid for these rooms gave a review in response to how her stay was so far while we were still there. She was told that management would reach out to her. That never happened. For 375 a room we could have stayed in much nicer places.

Ian K.

Yelp
Nothing blew me away. Yet I was impressed by the convience and location of the inn. We were in town as we were hiking Mt. Major and wanted to do some glamping. Wolfeboro was a close enough town qnd the inn was a mere $99 for the night on the April promotion. Can't imagine the price in season. Atmosphere: Cool blend of rustic and country charm. Lobby is welcoming and staff is very kind and helpful. The room: Very basic. Im not looking for fireworks here but some artwork and or a little decor could go a long way. Also the queen bed was a little rough. But thats a little much criticism. Overall for the price and quietness I was pleased. The Resteraunt: Cool bar. Despicable food and or lack of. In all I REALLY want to to try this place again but Im so hesistant at the same time. If the Resteraunt had a guest discount and or decent portions with reasonable prices. Id be giving a 4 but a Yelp is a Yelp. Worth a try to the guessing traveler!

Donna-Sue M.

Yelp
Sadly this hotel was a disappointment for the cost. Very expensive per night during peak season is expected, but so is cleanliness and quality. The room was very outdated, the lobby smelled so badly, upkeep around the property was poor. All and all a big let down. Would not recommend.

Raquel R.

Yelp
This was a cute Inn in a quaint little town with a ton of shops and restaurants within walking distance. The place was a little older but the place was just like a big mansion home. Our room was small and snug but had big beds and a comfy couch in it. Our friend stayed in a suite which was huge on the other hand. The property backs to a private beach on Lake Winnepesaukee which is a beautiful place to hang out. We came here for a wedding. It was the perfect venue. Appparently they host a lot of weddings and that affects the price of rooms. There is a restaurant downstairs with great food and two bars.

Karen B.

Yelp
As someone who is a regular in Wolfeboro I have always been an admirer of the Wolfeboro Inn. I have stayed at the Inn and dined at the Tavern on numerous occasions. Although the Inn is a bit "worn" and in need of renovations, there is still a lot of charm to the place. On this recent visit I must say I'm extremely disappointed. I won't get into the cosmetic issues of my room and will focus on the attention to detail and overall service. After arriving to my room around 9pm and looking for the iron to prep my clothes for the next day, there wasn't one in the room. I called the front desk where the nice lady apologized profusely and it arrived in a matter minutes. The straw that has broken the camel's back and caused me to write this review is because today upon arriving back to my room at 4:08pm the beds had been made and I figured housecleaning had done their job. Upon entering the bathroom I was surprised to see the towels that had been left on the floor were still there while new towels had been put in place. I called the front desk and asked if this is normal procedure. The nice lady at the front desk sounded flabbergasted and shared that it indeed was not the procedure. Approximately 10 minutes later a young man posing as housekeeping entered the room not apologizing for the oversight and with a bit of an attitude. After completing his task he departed barely wishing us a good evening after we said thank you. Imagine my surprise when I entered the bathroom after his departure to see the newspaper remained on the floor. It was initially in the garbage can when we left the room in the morning. Needless to say, there are other lodging options here in Wolfeboro which I will explore for future visits.

Jeya L.

Yelp
Was quaint, felt rugged, kind of like a clean cabin. I liked that there was a private beach though the water is slimy from the boats so I don't recommend swimming in it. Walking distance of some cute ice cream shops. Was pleased to find this as there aren't many hotels that have a private beach and we wanted something with more services than a private cabin.

Jeffrey R.

Yelp
Destination wedding for my niece. Stayed two nights and really enjoyed our stay (see restaurant review). Two connecting rooms - 202 and 204 - with a large shared deck. The service was great, the weather was beautiful, we enjoyed s stroll through the town and the Inn did a superb job with the wedding. We will be back!!!!

M L.

Yelp
Late lunch experience - tied up the boat, tried at Garwoods, 1.5hr wait. Gave the Inn a shot since they could seat our party of 10 right away. (I realize the timing and size of the party but the place was empty besides some people at the bar) Initially suspicious of how empty it was even though it was a beautiful day with plenty of people out. Immediately drinks took forever, after finding a hair in my first G&T and then another on the garnish on the second I stuck with water. Besides that the waitress and kitchen was just the slowest I've ever experienced. All in spent 3 hours and the maximum number anyone was able to have was 2. I mean if you're food is going to take forever, apps and entrees, at least provide a steady stream of drinks on a hot day. Sloppy and lethargic service, meals were good but overpriced, ultimately leading to my one star rating. Left us all wishing we just waited the 1.5 hrs for Garwoods. Will not be returning. Shame! Shame! Shame!

Eamon C.

Yelp
Fake upscale hotel. Booked two nights but canceled the 2nd night the next morning due to a cold room and a bathroom in need of an update or at least a good scrubbing. The food was awful.

Ryan d.

Yelp
What a piece of work this hotel is .. I gave them the opportunity to resolve my billing issue .. they charged me $200 and I never even stayed there .. 7 day cancellation policy when I called immediately after the booking within a minute when I realized the mistake ... how does a person live with taking $200 of money for a service never rendered .. I heard the place is a dump and run down anyway .. they claim I didn't cancel hmmmm... how is calling within one minute of booking the room not cancelling ... complete robbery !!!

Alex B.

Yelp
Over priced and dated. $240 for a 10 x 12 room with a bed and a chair. Bed was motel 6 quality. Front desk people were friendly and helpful. Location in downtown Wolfeboro is a positive but would never stay here on the merits of the facility alone.

Jeffrey M.

Yelp
We recently stayed with some friends to attend a wedding up the street and I was impressed with what they offered for the price. The front desk was very accommodating to get us all an early check in some could get ready for the wedding. The lobby area was charming with a large fireplace. The rooms were large and comfortable. The tavern was nice and the food was good. The only complaints were that there was no food available when we got back after the wedding. Tavern stopped serving at 9pm and nothing in town was open. Would of been nice if there were some vending machines in the hotel to grab a snack. Also, they hadn't done a great job plowing the parking lot

Matthew M.

Yelp
3 stars is overcompensating for the terrible service we encountered throughout the wedding weekend we attended. 1 star is generous. Bar service on Friday night was sub par. 2 bartenders for a crowd of 200 at the tavern is absurd. Wedding ceremony took place on Saturday... Couldn't seem to get the generators to work- the lights and heat went off about 20 times during the reception. Their tent was freezing cold. The steak was undercooked (completely raw), and I'm not even sure everyone ate. I hear this was the biggest wedding of the year here. If you have a wedding of over 10, I'd reconsider your venue.

Wunelle E.

Yelp
Stayed here during rainy bike week and it was wonderful to return to a warm, cozy inn. Staff was kind and accommodating, room was clean, great location...walk to everything. Had a few meals in the pub, good food. We had to leave early on a rainy Monday morning, the bed was so comfortable, I didn't want to get up! Great place and would recommend.

Yelp
the inn during my stay on june 13th-15th charged $822.44 for two nights with absolutely no services.....no food...no bar....no housekeeping!!!!! the room with a minimal view of the lake had a bed which was at one time used as a trampoline !!!! this is in "new hampshire"....not manhattan. this inn is unacceptable for the rate they charge.....and unacceptable period.

Yelp
Great staff. No questions on that. That group is on the ball. The building is due for some updates. The room we stayed in was one of the cheaper rooms. The windows faced a road and there were two odd useless windows permanently covered with curtains. The morning sun came right through them and focused right where you had laid in the bed, We were up at 7am both mornings. The bathroom tiles had cracks. I don't think either of the thermostats actually do anything. I think they are for show. The bed was firm like pine board. Very uncomfortable. One light switch we decided did nothing. One turned on the hall light. The rest you had to handle at the lamp. No soda machine. WIFI was good though.

Yelp
My wife and I could not have chosen a more incredible venue for our wedding. From the moment we walked in the front doors, the staff was kind and courteous and we were taken away by the beautiful rustic elegance of the inn. We selected our venue and began working with the wonderful event staff there. Lucy and Laura, the two event managers at the inn, are an absolute pleasure to work with. They are enthusiastic, kind, helpful, and incredibly talented at what they do in making events successful. This past weekend was our wedding and it was amazing. The event went off without a hitch. The food was amazing, the rooms were beautiful and clean, the staff and service was above and beyond what you could get anywhere. After the wedding, my wife and I stayed for a few days for a mini honeymoon of sorts and I'm so glad we did. It was like being at a home away from home. It was so relaxing and so nice to be surrounded by such wonderful people (the staff) in such a nice and comfortable inn. And I will say, if you have thought about a winter wedding...do it and have it at the Wolfeboro Inn. Then stay for a few days afterwards to relax and unwind. I HIGHLY recommend it. I cannot thank or praise the Wolfeboro Inn enough. Shout outs to: Lucy, Laura, Susie, Francine, Rachel, Cindy, Debbie, Gracie, Aaron, Josh, and the list goes on, but those are just some of the wonderful people my wife and I had the pleasure of meeting and working with during prior to our wedding, while we were there, after our stay, or some mixture of the above. 5 Stars to the Wolfeboro Inn! :)

Yelp
I had to cancel a reservation for for a stay on October 12 and 13 due to travel restrictions in NH for COVID. I canceled the reservation on September 10 by phone, received and email confirmation of the cancellation. I was told that it could take up to 4 weeks to see a refund on my credit card and it's been almost 7 weeks and other tan a few apologetic emails, still no refund. Disappointing.

Yelp
Clean rooms, friendly staff and in a great location. The outside of the building could use some updating but like any business that takes time and money. Will definitely come back again in the summer and go in the scenic boat cruise.

Yelp
This review is for the Inn only. Please see separate Wolfe's Tavern review. Location: 5 stars. Lovely views of the lake, easy walking distance to downtown (five minutes at most), right on Main Street yet quiet, convenient to both the North Country and high end skiing (one hour to Conway), and in the heart of the lakes area for summer and fall activities. Accommodations: 4.5 stars. A pleasant overall mix of modern and antique charm with a wide variety of rooms and suites to choose from. Most rooms are recently remodeled. The least expensive are a little small, but pleasantly appointed, quiet, with adequate bathroom area but with noticeable lack of shelf or storage space, comfortable beds (the ones we tried), hotter than h*** in the winter but at least the heat is on and manageable. Prices are moderate to above average for inns. Customer service: 2 stars. I should explain that my wife and I are friendly people - just customers overnighting at a hotel. We are not dentists. But if you are staying here it will help if you have your DDS. One should NEVER have to pull teeth with a front desk person about ANYTHING at a hotel, whether it's a pillow request, a wake up call, directions to a local eatery, the source of your reservation, etc. Our experience, spread among the several families in our large party, with front desk staff in both the evenings and mornings was unpleasant. They are impolite, surly, abrupt, unhelpful, argumentative, and stand-offish. Pray that you do not need to engage these people for any chore, request, or resolution of a problem, as your stay will quickly turn sulfurous. They are a churlish lot in need of re-training. Our overall rating: 3 stars. Once the front desk staff are fired and replaced by new, well trained help we'll happily stick another star on to this charming place.

Yelp
Everything is good but there is no mirror in my room except a small one in the bathroom. I couldn't even see my damn outfit.

Yelp
Don't get me wrong: this is a very nice inn. Comfortable rooms, friendly staff, great location... I just don't understand why it's SO expensive! We needed a place to stay for the night while visiting the area for a wedding. With most of the other options tapped due to some in-town hoopla, we were out of options (and most of them were actually booking a two-night minimum!). With few other options, Wolfeboro Inn was it. The hotel itself is nice. Like I said, the rooms are comfortable and clean. They even do a turn-down service and deliver chocolate fudge as a good-night gift and put fluffy robes out fore you to snuggle up in. Our room was modest -- a comfortable queen sized bed with nice pillows and sheets, and a modest bathroom with the standard Gilchrest & Soams toiletries on display. Nothing was overly luxurious or indulgent, other than the nearly $400 price tag... And for that kind of money, I want a view (not of a parking lot), a kind sized bed, a remarkably splendid bathroom and perhaps even a fireplace or (at the very least) a mini bar. However, we were just left without comfortable, modest room and a quiet night of uninterrupted slumbers. My husband would tell you the rooms are stuffy, but that's because I'd been freezing all day and refused to let him turn on the AC. Without AC, and just the windows open, the rooms do get a little hot. In the morning you'll find coffee and tea to serve to yourself in the lobby. There's apparently a decent restaurant, too but we did not partake. So, aside from the crazy price, I would call this place A-OK, all the way.

Yelp
I love Lake Winnipesaukee. When I visit, I usually rent a house with friends. But I was only in town for a few days this time, so I thought I'd give the Wolfeboro Inn a try. The location is great. Walking distance from town. Walking distance to the Inn's private beach. According to the reservationist, and the premium on my bill, my room had a "water view." If I looked out just the right window at just the right time of day, with my head at just the right angle, I could catch a glimpse of the water. The room was unclean. Yeah, it was vacuumed, and the sheets seemed fine, but it's apparent that nobody pays attention to anything but the routine work. There was hair all over the back of the sink -- not visible from the front of the sink, but from other locations in the bathroom it was easy to see. Gross. The walls in the bathroom were dripping with yellowish goo. Nasty. I couldn't help but wonder what I'd see in the carpet, furniture, and bedspreads if I used a blacklight. This should not occur to me. The front desk service was very very friendly. The person who took my reservation was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with, as were the folks who checked me in and out. I would give this place two more stars if the room was clean. I find it very unusual that rooms are this dirty. I just can't get past it. And I'm a guy.

Yelp
Terrible service! On the night before a wedding the bartenders cut off the wedding party with no excuse except that we were "rowdy" which no one in our party was. The main bartender seemed like he just wanted to close up and hang out with his local friends. (our waitress apologized but said there was nothing she could do). The next day went to have lunch. Said it would be "awhile" as they were switching over from breakfast. Ordered a Louisiana chicken sandwich. After about a half hour waitress brought me a few chicken wings (bones and all) on two slices of white bread. When I pointed out this was not what the menu stated she apologized and went to get me a new sandwich, which took another 30 mins. Asked for the WiFi password and was told the bartender would be able to tell me, surprise he wasn't! Asked if there was a Walmart or Target type store close by and the bartender snidely said "not here". It seems like the bar and restaurant staff couldn't be bothered to serve you once you were already checked in.

Yelp
This was a very nice and clean place. The hotel restaurant was very good and the location was exceptional. The room was a little small but it was nice and I certainly wasn't planning on spending a lot of time there. The pitfalls that I found here were first (and this is kinda minor since so many places do it) that there was a required two night minimum. We were up there for a wedding so it would have been nice at over 200 dollars a night to have a single night option. Not the end of the world, just a slight annoyance. The second was a little bit more perturbing. The service, while exceptionally friendly, was very slow throughout the whole weekend. We arrived at a little before 8 on Friday and had to wait 10 minutes to check in becasue there was no one working at the front desk (probably out helping someone else but they should always have someone covering the front desk). Then we went for dinner and drinks and had to wait quite a while for service (and we were sitting at the bar!). The food was very good (little pricy at 10 dollars for a buger and 12 for a salad) and the drinks were well done but the slow service kind of put me off. It very well could have just been a very crowded weekend they weren't ready for (I have only been here once) but if you go, just be prepared that things may be a bit slower then you would expect.

Yelp
We stayed here for a night after our wedding. Making reservations was easy, both online and in person. (We booked our reservations online but my parents' reservations in person.) The hotel had all the amenities you would expect and was clean. The hotel is an easy walking distance to downtown. The grounds were impeccably kept and beautiful. We enjoyed sitting by the docks on the property and sitting in the gazebo. The only reason this place gets three stars is the price. They are a little proud of their rooms. We paid over $250 for one night.

Yelp
Overpriced for what you get. There were only 3 working outlets in the room, and most were occupied with the room's lighting and the TV. They said that refreshments were in the lobby-- that consisted of ice water. I am disappointed in my experience at the Wolfeboro Inn. On the other hand, Wolfe's Tavern is a great place for food and drinks!

Yelp
My first impression of the hotel was a brief call before my arrival, after I booked my room, the person who answers seemed annoyed about asking for a refrigerator in my room. My reservation was on a Tuesday and Wednesday in the middle of January (there wasn't that many hotel guests). When my husband and I checked in at the hotel the front desk person corrected me on where I made my hotel reservation (I assure you I know who I have my credit card information to online, she was wrong). The hotel room was nice, nothing above average. The room I stayed in had a bathroom, which needed updating. The shower curtain was kinda cheesy, faucet and shower head wasn't updated. Obviously extremely minor details. The bedding and mattress were delightful. We also had a turn down service which was such a pleasant surprise. The shampoo and conditioner are very nice. Over all was a great size. Biggest room complaint was that it was extremely hot, we needed to open the windows and turn on the ac (it was 29 degrees outside and the window was open all night). In the morning they had coffee and tea available. It had snowed the nights that we stayed and they cleared the snow off our car for us. Great location in town and we will definitely be returning again. Overall a good experience, I'm glad I kept an open mind after my initial interaction with the front desk staff.

Yelp
We stayed one night over Labor Day Weekend. I was happy we didn't have to pay for two nights. At first, I was worried because the decor was earth-toned and the lobby was not neat as a pin, but our room was very clean and nicely decorated. Great bed. This is not a chic place. It's homey. I was very happy to see that the bathroom was squeaky clean and fresh: gorgeous if not glamorous. Great toiletries. Clean! Clean! Clean! The Tavern music bothered my husband since it played in past 10PM but the bed was so comfortable I slept like a rock. Half the crowd in the restaurant was wearing tee shirts and ball caps. The other half was dressed for dinner. We had uncomfortable/dirty seat cushions in a booth, but the food was creative and well-prepared. Bread was great. Service was almost too slow but the waitress pulled it off just fine.
