On the Grid : Wolfgang’s Steakhouse

"This chain is best known for their dry-aged steaks and wine, but if you sit at the bar there’s an abbreviated menu that serves healthy portions for $8 before 7PM and $12 after. The two sliders are big enough for you to share with a buddy and they come with a side of shoestring fries. The caesar salad’s great too but order the german potatoes that are seared in a skillet with bacon and cheese if you’re really hungry." - Hernan Bas & Pete Rozek

Great service by their staffs starting from the hosts. We ordered crabcake, steaks, lobster, pork chop, seabass, oysters, etc. They serve good food. Nonetheless, they also have good collection of wines. Great outdoor view as well. Highly recommended to dine at this restaurant.

Google
Excellent service! Although it was storming & raining the wait staff made sure we were covered on the balcony. Quiet dining. Food was cooked to perfection. Worth the money. Steak was melt in your mouth delicious. Will definitely return.

Google
I definitely had higher expectations than our experience afforded. The steak was properly cooked to temperature. However, each of us noted that it lacked seasoning. We were not offered fresh craked pepper tableside. My companion had the lobster mac and cheese, and noted that it was runny and the cheese choices upstaged the lobster. The server suggested that the german potatoes is the most popular accompaniment/side. I found that those too lacked flavor and dimension. The steak sauce is very thin and sweet. Tasted a bit like thin ketchup and cocktail sauce mixed together. For the price, I will choose another place next time.

Google
Had Thanksgiving dinner here. The Turkey was moist and cooked to perfection. The stuffing was delectable. The sweet potatoes are whipped to perfection and melted in your mouth. The meal was wrapped up with a hardy piece of pumpkin pie with whipped creme. I highly recommend.

Food was very good but I would not say great. Good vIew of channel and boats coming and going.

Google
The porterhouse steak was just ok, not the taste I was expecting. Overall, they have great service, nice view of the water if sitting outside.

Google
Horrible place. I made a reservation a month in advance and I get here and tell me they ran out of a table for me. The attendants were no help and ended up giving someone else a table as they forgot about me. The place was dirty. Food was ok. If I could rate negative five stars I would. Don’t recommend. Biggest waste of time.

Yelp
Joanna, our server, was outstanding. Very charming and pretty. Dined here to celebrate my son's Match Day 2025. The bone in rib eye was buttery! The Chilean sea bass was tasty and soft! The strands in your mouth would give you an experience you're not eating fish... you are eating steak as well. Both the bone in rib eye and Chilean sea bass melted in your mouth! The dreamy Spinach was genuinely creamy. The cheesecake was perfect. Sweet at first, but gets addicting after. :) the graham cracker crust was tight, not dry, just the right seeetness and moistness All were yummy. The view was very Miami as what I haven watched on TV. When I come back, I shall dine here again. We have been to Beverly Hills, Newport Beach, Malibu, Sherman Oaks, etc. Malibu and Miami have amazing water views. Can't wait for the San Diego CA and Irvine CA Mastros to open!

Yelp
This place is amazing. The food, service and ambiance are excellent. Plus great views of the water with boats passing by as well. Food quality is EXCELLENT. everything is delicious and cooked perfectly. Service is top notch - very attentive, nice, professional and very quick. Ambiance is excellent, romantic feel and they have live music in the evenings. My favorite dessert item here is the warm butter cake, so delicious and perfect way to end your meal.

Yelp
I'm not sure what took me so long to write this review. I visited Mastro's as a solo diner to celebrate my birthday (by yourself girl? Yes by myself). Since I was alone I was able to sit at the bar. The bartenders took great care of me and celebrated me and made me feel special. First, I had no clue what type of drink I wanted but I gave the bartender (who was actually more of a mixologist) some key ingredients i wanted and he took it from there. My drink ended up being a surprise and delight with a whole dry ice situation. Very nice! Next, I was attempting to not order the same ole same ole but i kind of did with an order of salmon. They have different preparations that you can have. It was suggested that I try the pan fried variety. This is cliche, but chefs kiss! My dinner was completed with a yummy dessert. The ambiance is very sexy, date vibe. If you have never been to Mastro's it is a high end steak house so please dress the part or you will be turned away at the door. Thank you all for making my birthday special!

Yelp
Love love loved this high end steakhouse downtown. This super suave, sexy steakhouse is such a great spot for a date, bday dinner or special occasion. The service is above and beyond and the food here is show stopping. Portions are HUGE and food quality is so great. Worth every penny. MUST TRY the butter pound cake

Yelp
I've been to Mastros before but I hadn't gotten the chance to experience the new Miami location, it was my boyfriends birthday and we decided to check it out! Food: The food was great! Reminded me of the Fort Lauderdale location. For appetizer I had the sautéed shrimp, came with large pieces of shrimp and bread. The sauce it came with was amazing. For entree I had the Herb Roasted Chicken this was also good and nicely seasoned. For sides I had the French Fries & White Cheddar Mac and Cheese. The sides are for sure shareable and recommended ordering different ones to try at the table. Drinks: I decided to ordered off of their Desert cocktails menu, so good! I had the white chocolate martini and did d'usse bananas. Both drinks were sweet and super strong so be careful Ambiance/ Decor: This is definitely more on the upscale side, very modern and classy vibe. We sat outdoors and enjoyed the lovely view of the water. There is also live music which we enjoyed. Service: Our server was very nice and attentive, we also had table runners which continuously checked on us, filled out waters and cleared the tables. Overall, this was a great dining experience. A little on the pricey side but you do get your moneys worth. Would definitely come back but maybe sit at the bar or even come for lunch during the day!

Yelp
This place is absolutely spectacular! As soon as you arrive you know you're in for an extremely upscale experience! I went on a Thursday evening and almost as soon as you walked in they had a live singer who sang absolutely beautifully. The host was super nice and helped me find my party. We were a large group of 10+ people and we had an absolutely fantastic waiter. We ordered the seafood tower, which was a beautiful presentation. It came with an assortment of seafood (clams, lobster, mussels, etc.). It's pretty big, so it's excellent to share if you had a large party like we did. For my main course I ordered the filet mignon. The table ordered a bunch of sides, as they all come family style, so it's great for sharing. My filet mignon was cooked and seasoned to perfection. For the sides, I tried the spinach, corn and the mac n cheese. The corn had a really good spice kick to it and the mac n cheese was cheesy and gooey (in the best way possible). For dessert we had this carrot cake (I think) and it was the best cake I've ever had in my life! It was so good that our table ordered a second serving of it because we all wanted seconds. The bottom of the cake was nice and buttery and the cake itself was the perfect amount of sweet. This is a beautiful place and perfect for an upscale dinner date or birthday dinner.

Yelp
I love, love, love Mastro's!!! I've been multiple times and have yet to be disappointed. The food is amazing. The service is top tier. The ambiance is everything. Very beautiful location with valet.

Yelp
I only we t here because i had been to the one in Phoenix and it was AMAZING. Sadly, cannot say the same for this location. For starters, our reservation was made 2 weeks in advance. Still we had to wait about 35-45 minutes to sit down. The ambiance was overall pretty unpleasant. If it wasn't for the fact it was water front, it would be a miss. The sound overall sounds like you're at a loud dinner and can't even hear the person next to you speak. Our server was the only incredible thing as she was extremely attentive and overall very pleasant. My steak was very salty and just not cooked correctly at all. For a steak house this is a bit frustrating. The sides were also very underwhelming. It is in Brickell, so bear in mind for parking. They do have valet which is what i used.
google avatar

Ruth A.

Yelp
We love Mastros and we had to have it while visiting Miami. Now let me tell you it definitely hits different than Mastros in Cali. They have an extended menu with more options here. Their outstanding service started outside with Valet parking. They had live classical music, a beautiful lady playing the piano, love the elegance all over.
google avatar

Danielle S.

Yelp
I cannot say anything bad about this place! We actually had some entertaining couple fighting non discretely behind us, trust me couldn't ignore if we tried. Our waitier did his thang keeping his composure and keeping it pretty professional. The food was so good didn't even had time to take pictures. I have never had anyone ask me what side of the country I wanted oysters from... ooo bougie .... They had a pianist playing some nice music so a nice romantic ambiance and a great view. I wish I could go there monthly but we would be broke lol... definetly a great spot to celebrate our 1 year anniversary.

Yelp
This was my second time at this location and I got to tell you, from the valet to the hostess and all the way to our sever, this was a true first class fine dining experience. James, our Sommelier, was extremely knowledgeable. Unlike most other places in Miami, he cared more about our palate than trying to sell us an expensive bottle of Colin, our server was super attentive to my girlfriend's vegan needs and went above and beyond to ensure she gets a vegan dish for her dinner even though the restaurant doesn't have a single vegan item in their menu. If you want to have an VIP experience coupled with delicious food and wine, then I highly recommend you check out this place. Thank you Mastro's for making us feel like true VIPs!

Yelp
First thing to note is that the serving size is massive and cooked well. My salmon easily could have fed two people, and the sides are meant to be served family style. I really enjoyed the view, and the cabaret singer was a fun addition. Unfortunately our drinks weren't good (I had the Mr. Feel Good) and our waitress didn't provide great service as she was soft spoken and only checked on us if we flagged her down. Overall I would definitely be back.

Yelp
I've always like Mastro's beautiful waterfront location in Fort Lauderdale, so we were excited to try this new location downtown. We ate with friends who had been there and during the opening weekend, where they experienced lackluster service, as one might expect on an opening night. But the food was good enough that they were anxious to try it again and I'm happy to say that they did not disappoint. Food, service, atmosphere was all excellent. The menu here is massive and offers excellent options for steak eaters and non-steak eaters alike. All the steakhouse basics, however, are excellent. My bone-in ribeye was perfect and all the sides were top notch. Everything up to the desserts (amazing butter cake!) really hit the spot. This place has a bit of a vibe and features two great female singers in a Friday night. I would not discount just going there on a weeknight to sip a martini and order some appetizers.
google avatar

Brandon B.

Yelp
Mastro's was absolutely amazing! The food was great, the servers were very knowledgeable of the menu, and the live music is some of the best you'll find in the city. They had a great wine selection as well. I'll be back soon!

Yelp
Food poisoning. Ordered seafood tower $90 colossal crab $55 lobsters cocktail $46 $30 oysters $45 charred Octopus $45 bone in KC strip $73 3 mezcal $60 Wagyu roll $37 Bone in ribeye $82 ahi tartar rack of lamb $77 with a few other items totaling $800 with tip included only to get food poisoning for my business meeting and celebration of my engagement. I eat at ocean front in California all the time and was not expecting this in Miami. Server also reserved my empty drink to my business partner and said it was a shot when it was an empty drink and waitress apologized. Service was bad for the amount we paid and food poisoning was the result. Business partner had his own reality show and wife has 1 million followers. Not the best people to give that type of service and food poisoning to. I'm sure they will post something about their experience as well. Really disappointing from such a big brand and restaurant group.

Yelp
Wanted to try Mastro's Miami Spice menu and was fortunate to have done so. I ordered the crispy garlic tuna, lobster mashed potatoes ($20 supplement), bone in ribeye med. rare ($35 supplement) and butter cake. The food was all delicious and the service was top notch. It's rare for me to find a steak I feel is worth the money at an upscale steakhouse like this is but this one met the mark. The ambiance was nice with low lights and a lounge singer but also a couple screens showing football at the bar.

Yelp
A huge fan of Miami Ocean Club location and regularly enjoy Mastro's Newport Beach. Miami Cuisine and atmosphere are excellent, however the experience is meant to be enjoyable, this is not achievable when server is rushed and rushing customers through dinner. Early 6pm arrival, have cocktails and appetizers, we were asked to order dinner on three (3) occasions. Hamachi appetizer taken off the table with just less than half remaining, no we are still enjoying that, thank you. But server had already taken my chopsticks...really? And not replaced them. Bread service removed from table at appetizer 3/4 full, never received it back for meal, what? Sever took away from the meal experience in every way, on every occasion and at the table way too many time to the point of being obtrusive. Extremely disappointing for what should have easily been a perfect early evening mid week on a quiet night...

Yelp
It's hard to put into words how amazing our experience at Mastro's was. The views from the restaurant are amazing. They have GOOD live music playing the whole evening. The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered a little bit of everything. Our server, Ronnie, was amazing. He took great care of us & had awesome recommendations. Nick & Natalie have a full team of superstars. We are so excited to have Mastro's Ocean Club here in Miami. Cannot wait to come back!

Yelp
Went there twice. The food and inside staff are wonderful, however, don't valet your vehicle. I got home and went into my grocery bag and noticed that they stole my creamer. Sounds petty but a thief is a thief.... Won't be coming back there, that left a bad taste in my mouth....

Yelp
Location was in Miami , we booked it for a BD August 8 th . Had a phone call to confirm our reservation and we were told that we can't show up in dressy shorts ( for men attire ) , 95 degree heat and my boyfriend didn't bring his pants .. we were visiting from Vegas . Vegas location of Maestro's never had any restrictions on wearing dressy shorts , we've been there multiple times and love it ! They offered us to seat at a bar , but I had my parents with me , 75 years old , I would've not take em to a high top bar seating . They ruined my Birthday dinner

Yelp
My wife and I have been there multiple times; not sure what happened between now and 3 months ago. Bread = burnt and rock hard Service = crickets/absent Steak = chewy and shrunken Utensils = must ask for Live music = elevator entertainment Place was half empty. Mastro's at One Miami is closing in less than 6 months, mark this review.

Yelp
The food is excellent and prompt, the staff are all friendly and amazing. The ambiance is great too along side the live performances.

Yelp
Oh, how the mighty have fallen! The Mastro's name, once a sanctuary for a more civilized kin, has been desecrated and left for dead in a Long John Silver's parking lot. I come bearing bad news in regard to my recent visit to MA$TRO'$ OCEAN KLUB. If you, your loved ones, or frankly anyone you know with a functioning brain wants to dine among a sophisticated, upper-echelon cohort...you best steer clear of this "cookout" at all costs. As someone who has whet my whistle at some of the top Michelin kitchens from Monte Carlo to Malibu, I can confidently say that MA$TRO'$ OCEAN KLUB is literal light years away from today's "fine dining" quality standards (even if it now identifies as an "ethnic" restaurant). Furthermore, the dear patrons of MA$TRO'$ OCEAN KLUB do NOT want to be listening to what I have personally designated as the worst live male singer in restaurant history, drunkenly belting out a nauseating reimagining of Avicii's "Wake Me Up". Perhaps recruit someone a little more on brand...such as Juice Wrld or Pop Smoke! Either would most certainly rile up the rather excitable (and large) patrons. Alas, I ramble on and on...perhaps I should wrap this up. As a young lad, I learned in science lab that bleach and ammonia should never be mixed. MA$TRO'$ OCEAN KLUB is exactly what happens when bleach and ammonia mix, from a certain frame of reference . Toodles!

Yelp
The view was amazing ! Staff was so friendly and the food was exceptional ! So glad I discovered this restaurant and I'll definitely be back

Richard S.

Yelp
You'd be better off paying this place more money for an exceptional dining experience. It's expensive...but you get a lot. Exceptional food, exceptional service, exceptional drinks, live entertainment. Well worth it when you consider what else is available in Miami...and no mandatory 18 percent tipping "jack". And let me tell you...both drinks we got were absolutely glorious! I had no problem giving this place hundreds of my dollars!

Yelp
My wife and I had a layover in Miami after our honeymoon. We stayed at a nearby hotel and chose Mastro's for our final honeymoon dinner. We were served without a reservation and wasn't greeted right away. Maybe because we were not dressed too fancy, but I digress. We were then greeted by "Mo" who was a very very good waiter. My review has nothing to do with Mo's performance as he is the only reason it was not a one star review. We started with the bread, which tasted like stale church crackers. It left such a mess on the table that the busser came by and cleared it up before our meals. We then had the crab cake which was pretty good, no complaints. This was our final meal for our trip so we were excited to splurge and get a nice steak. I opted for the dry aged ribeye and my wife got the filet mignon. I requested the steak to be medium-rare, as I always do. My wife chose medium, as she is used to getting. The meat came out and she cut into hers, it was rare. My wife hates sending things back, but given the price was upwards of $70 for a steak, I sent it back. I cut into mine, it was blue. I sent mine back given it was over an $80 steak. Mo was very apologetic and tried to fix the undercooked meat as he could see I was very unimpressed. I told him it wasn't his fault and that I was just upset because they are expensive cuts of meat and reheating a steak that was already taken off the grill will never taste as good if it was just done right. He brought the steaks back out, and my wife's was cooked more like medium but was not as tender as it should've been since it already sat. My steak was still pretty rare but was edible, I ate what I could but was very unimpressed. The manager came out and apologized for the undercooked meat. Mo brought us out a dessert for our honeymoon which was very nice of him. Finally the check came, and the dessert as well as our two cocktails were comped. I told Mo, I don't have a problem paying for the cocktails, we really enjoyed those, I have a problem paying $80 for a steak that was very poorly prepared. Mo had it fixed for me, taking off the Ribeye and adding the cocktails back on. Although I wish they would have taken both steaks off for the mediocre- reheated steaks, I understand it is a business and they need to make some money. Long story short, we will not be returning to this Mastro's (we live in California) or any Mastro's for that matter. Hopefully we can see Mo again at a better steakhouse.

Yelp
I went to the one in NY in 2016 and this place has forever been ingrained in my heart since. I was thrilled to find out they were opening in Miami and immediately booked my reservation. We started with the charred octopus, hamachi, and bone marrow. The bone marrow was my favorite but the octopus and hamachi were also excellent! We then had the 12 oz filet and Kansas City bone in- both perfectly cooked! We had the lobster mashed potatoes and broccolini as sides. Please be advised that they do not skimp out on the portion for the mashed potatoes! We were pleasantly surprised. Do not forget to order their signature butter cake for dessert!!! It's a must! Lastly, our waiter, Christian- he was so attentive and nailed it with the recommendations! Definitely coming back.

Yelp
The ambience is beautiful, the food was really good too. Steak, fish and great salads

Yelp
This place is perfect We went to the one in Las Vegas and loved it as well The best lemon drops in the world Seafood platter amazing Lamb chops off the chart and the sides just as good We had excellent service and will be back

Yelp
One of my FAVORITE go-to restaurants. Always a crowd pleaser for clients and out-of-towners alike, and the service is incredible every time - hard to find in Miami! On our last visit, we had the crab fried rice and I can't stop thinking about it. My only complaint is that I can't eat the butter cake every single day without gaining weight!

Yelp
Exceptional dining experience. Always consistent and every dish was excellent. Will return!

Yelp
I could not wait to get to Mastros here in Miami. It is one of my west coast favs and they didn't disappoint here in Florida. From the beautiful aesthetic and ambiance to the water view seating outside. I was already in heaven upon arrival. Not to mention the live music! Our server Hubert was great. Very personable and patient. We started with cocktails and the seafood tower with colossal lump crab, shrimp cocktail, and lobster. Lemon drop martini for my cocktail. Which comes with enough for a refill. I love that! I had the rack of lamb for my entree with the truffle mushrooms on the side. And some lobster mac and cheese. Took a couple times to get the proper temperature for my lamb but it was well seasoned and fixed with no problems. For dessert it was a must to have the butter cake which I'm already trying to plan going back for some more. It's like someone gramma is in the kitchen with her cast iron baking it to order. Soooo so good. And the dollop of whipped topping on the side just sets it off. Everything was delicious. Chefs kiss! And to put the icing on the cake, I got a phone call this afternoon from Gabriella, thanking us for dining with them. I truly appreciated that little extra touch. I will certainly be returning often!

Yelp
First time at Mastro's. Unfortunately, the service did not meet expectations for the caliber of restaurant. I noted we were celebrating a special occasion. Our server, Sue, did not go above and beyond to make our visit memorable. She was low energy, we could barely hear her and her demeanor was not of a 5-Star experience. She did not make menu recommendations or check on us throughout our visit. I had to approach her to write a message on the dessert, and even when delivered, it was not made special. I received a call from Natalie the next day to check on our visit and I asked to speak a Manager to share our experience. She asked for details and said a manager would call me to follow up. It's been a few days and that has not happened. The positives: restaurant's ambiance was great, the view wow! there was live music and it did not interfere with conversation. The food was delicious, and the lemon drop martinis lived up to the hype!

Javier J.

Yelp
Update- July 22nd I get a canned message that someone will reach out and that they care blah blah blah- 8 days later. Nothing. Mind you I did email the review and information directly to the manager of the location, Nick Gill and yet- no response. If that doesn't show the level of support, I guess this is my first customer service rodeo.

Yelp
Nice dinner with my wife while in Miami waiting for a cruise. Our waiter was really nice and helpful with suggestion for food and cocktails. The food was great, but the lobster mac was outstanding.

Yelp
New restaurant in town, they have a great atmosphere perfect for a romantic dinner. They have waterfront views. The food was amazing, and the service was great. They also have live music.

Luis V.

Yelp
Pricey but worth it! Great live music, great food and great service!!! What else can you ask for!

Yelp
What a wonderful evening. Hubert our waiter made sure everything was exactly as we wanted it. Dinner was absolutely fabulous and they had my favorite Champagne! If you are in the Downtown Miami area or Brickell don't miss this place.

Yelp
Had a fantastic experience with my family last Friday. Stopped by for dinner & drinks before the Miami Heat v Chicago Bulls game. Our server's name was Zafar and he was prompt in getting us served and on our way to the game. He made great menu recommendations; we had the seafood tower w/king crap, lobster cocktail and west coast oysters. He also suggested the Waygu beef roll. Everything was exceptional, and we made it to the Heat game right on time!

Saskia H.

Yelp
This place is nice for a birthday or just a romantic evening out. Servers are great provide good service. Food was ok and love the shareable sides.

Kay M.

Yelp
Beautiful ambiance and location. The lighting was a bit dim, but it added to the overall charm. We enjoyed live piano music during dinner, which created a lovely atmosphere. The servers were incredibly nice and attentive, and the manager took the time to check in and have a friendly conversation with us, making us feel even more welcome. A wonderful dining experience!

Isaac H.

Yelp
Service was great, food was fantastic, and the ambiance was stellar. Beautiful dining area right next to the ocean, live music was fantastic.

Yelp
Gorgeous location right on the water. We were hoping this location would be consistent with the ones back home in Southern CA, and it certainly was. Service was exceptional - server was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and recommendations. The expected level of service at a Mastro's is very different from other high end restaurants in Miami - warm, professional, attentive, and genuinely makes the customer feel like they care about creating an excellent experience. Everything from our favorite appetizers and salads, to the steak and sides were just as amazing as their other locations. I had the twin lobster tails which were incredibly fresh. Highly recommend for an amazing meal with gorgeous views.

Nina R.

Yelp
Food is incredible service is amazing Love the decoration and ambiance But everything that we try was incredible definitely will go back and recommend it

Carl C.

Yelp
Absolutely garbage food and service at this Mateo's location. Steak is extra salty. Service isn't there at all. Long wait times to be served.

Yelp
Big fan of the Mastro's chain and was so pleased to hear that south Florida was getting a 2nd location in Miami. The restaurant itself is beautiful and has the perfect Miami vibe with views of the water, elevated seating in areas of the restaurant, nice bar etc. Food was pretty solid. Still upset that this location does not have creamed corn, like how can you be Mastro's without creamed corn but anyway - the Porterhouse steak was cooked perfectly but could've used a little more seasoning. The sides were good the Mac & Cheese was amazing, the fries were fresh, and the roasted corn was just ok. For desert I went with the limited edition seasonal chocolate butter cake, it was good but I'll stick to the classic butter cake. Service however needs to be improved, once seated I received a menu with a "happy birthday Ivy" it wasn't anybody in my parties birthday & after we told them it might of been a mistake they still brought us out a happy birthday decorated cake. It was just a bit awkward but I digress. The servers also have a lot more to learn - some didn't even know what was on the menu, name of drinks etc. overall I'll probably return if they add creamed corn to the menu, other than that I'll stay at the Fort Lauderdale location. Valet is $20 during the weekdays.

Yelp
Amazing experience at the new Mastros in Miami. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. We ordered the sautéed shrimp and Cesar salad for apps and everything came up quick. For entrees got a perfectly cooked rib eye, Mac n cheese and creamed spinach. Steak was cooked perfectly and loved the sides. Had to finish it off with the signature butter cake
