Wombat Backpackers

When arriving we were greated by someone who look liked they hadnt been to bed. She told us nothing about the hostel only our room number. (one positive is it was cheap, $22 for room of 2). Seems to be a lot of long term residents. Toilets and shower dirty, need a whole refit. Would rather stay smelly than have a shower. Kitchen is a mess, with stuff everywhere, people not cleaning up after themselves. You just feel dirty when you are standing there, let alone having to cook in it. However it is within walking distance to the CBD. No idea whether the room was cleaned before us using it, and it smelt. We decided to sleep in our sleeping bags rather than use the bedding. People who are staying seem nice. A cheap option good for enough one night, dont expect anything!

Oh my days. Absolutely horrendous hostel. No divide between showers, no toilet door and the tap didn't work, which is a pity as you'll be wanting to give yourself a good hard scrubba-dub-dub. Probably should have just left the minute we got there and noticed punch holes in the wall.

The worst backpackers on earth, I suggest not to book on this place, during weekend there are drunk men on the entrance of the hostel, and on the hall way its horrible, the room are smelly, dirty, I couldn't believed that the city of Perth didn't close this establishment. They mislead the public, they should update their website. Its not worth staying in this place. The Place is rotten. the owner is Terrible.

I don't know how people can stay overnight there. We had room where curtin was hanging down half way,so no cover for window, dirty, broken cupboards, really hot we were there at summer so no aircon. We left after beeing there 10 min. I Don't recommend that hostel.

Free wifi, clean enough, now with aircon in every room and new doorlocks. Nice people, lot of drinking and smoking there. Best place for backpackers in Perth. Nice staff, no stress, all perfect. Wombat Family for ever

The backpacker is the worst one I have ever stayed. No enough toilet,shower,slow WiFi,dirty everything .And irresponsible staff.I think the manager totally doesn't want to organize it ...I won't recommend anyone to be there.

Not the best hostel in the world but really efficient and price and service are ok. Good experience.

Not the most comfortable hostel but affordable enough and conveniently located for Perth City.
