Wow! When I arrived, the nice older lady informed me that the museum closed in 30 minutes. As I was purchasing a souvenir and chatting with her she decided to quickly take me through the museum. I was in awe of the details and history. The museum smells great too! I’m so appreciative that she had compassion on me because I was going home to Michigan the next day! Mind blowing. Check out if you can! Women’s history 🎉🤩

We filmed and photographed a wedding reception here. LOVED the venue! So good for a rehearsal dinner or a wedding! And all the beautiful drone shots of the Hall of Fame with Knoxville in the background!

Beautifully done. Wonderful history. Honoring the past athletes and history of the game. Protecting today’s athletes and programs and supporting the future athletes.

What a wonderful experience to go to the women's basketball hall of fame. They have so much on display and you will get the history of the game as well as learning something new every time you go. Exhibits chang so you can go back often and even shoot a little hoop! The gift shop is awesome and I just want to buy everything in it lol. Admission price is pretty low so no reason not to go.

Wonderful spot to learn about the history of women’s basketball! For a reasonable entry fee we got to walk though the greatly curated exhibits and even brick some shots on the court downstairs. Perfect spot to spend a few hours!

Great tribute to the many stars of Women's Basketball! We enjoyed the indoor courts as well. The young guy who started our tour was very knowledgeable and seem to enjoy his job!

I made my first visit for a weekend-long trip to the lovely city of Knoxville, Tennessee while modeling at Knoxville Fashion Week! Such a cool city with a lot of history. One of my top stops was definitely visiting the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame! This international museum is dedicated to preserving the history of women's basketball all over the world! How cool is that. I loved waking up each morning, looking out the window and seeing the architecture of the giant BBALL which is built into the cityscape. Can't wait to make a visit here again! #ANDONE

Love every moment of the ENTIRE WEWKEND! Celebrations for the five women inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame. It was amazing!! The #WBHOF Museum is definitely a must-see when you get to Knoxville, TN. (Also UT, Coach Pat Summit's statue). The HERSTORY of Women's Basketball is dripping everywhere!!

Yelp
Fantastic museum dedicated to the titans of women's basketball. The museum weaves the through history of the game, featuring in-depth exhibits on pro leagues, college programs, and the growing influence of the game around the world. The curator was very sociable and took time to answer questions. There is an interactive exhibit with three basketball hoops for patrons to shoot around and take jumpers. Really cool. Also a well-stocked gift shop at the end of the tour.

Yelp
We are so happy that we finally made it to this awesome venue. They have a dedicated (and free!) parking lot behind the building, shaded with lots of trees, which is nice for summer months. I got a Groupon for two adult passes(just over $6 for both of us!) and our oldest was $6 and twins were free...so a cheap few hours of fun. We were greeted immediately by a very sweet and knowledgable worker. After we paid, she said "Okay, let me give you a tour." My husband and I looked at each other like "Oh, no! What have we done?' With young kiddos with the attention span of a squirrel, guided tours are not ideal for sanity. After the first 15 minutes, however, she turned on a movie about the history of Women's basketball in the theater for us and left us to self-guide the remainder of the trip. The movie was informational and there were many interactive exhibits and cool memorabilia to look at throughout the museum. We learned some really interesting facts, like women were required to play in wool dresses, they couldn't dribble, and the ball was a 12 lb, laced, medicine ball. The lower level was a huge hit with our kids. There is a dribbling course, three baskets (including an old school version that doesn't allow the ball to go through the net), areas to practice passing drills, and player cutouts for a cool photo op. A great time was had by all and we even had the place to ourselves on a Friday afternoon!

Yelp
Enjoyed my visit here but I did expect more exhibits than I saw. Plenty of history and the 25 minute video was educational. The Hall includes those from all aspects of women's basketball from high school on up. If you come with kids they will enjoy the courts on bottom level and passing drills.

Yelp
A terrific visit to the HOF! Highly recommend if you are in Knoxville. Lots of great memorabilia and an outstanding video about the history of women's basketball.

Yelp
We found this museum passing through Knoxville since you can't miss the big basketball! Being BIG basketball fans, my mom and I really enjoyed the exhibits. It took us about 2 hours to go through the whole museum, but if you're a fast reader you could possibly get through in an hour. The exhibits start with a 15 min movie about the history of women's basketball, followed by a self-guided tour. When we went, there was a $1 off coupon on their website, so check before you go if you like to save a buck like me! The museum ends with some basketball courts with basketballs for kids to place and a small gift shop. I definitely thought they had a nice variety of teams represented from NCAA, WNBA, to high school. Worth seeing if you're a basketball lover!!

Yelp
We stopped here and really had a great time. Loved the history and story of how the game has evoked for women over the years. Glad my daughter got to see how much change had been made over the years.

Yelp
What an awesome place to visit and learn about women's basketball. Please come and visit here and really have fun

Yelp
I enjoyed the history lesson and the basketball courts on the basement level for you to use during your visit.

Yelp
Fun! And educational. It might not be as flashy as the mens' in New England, but it's nothing to sneeze at. We really wanted to see Pat Summit exhibits, they did not disappoint. Finally, we had a blast on the courts downstairs - especially the old tymey hoop.

Yelp
This is the only hall of fame in the world dedicated to women's basketball, making it one of a long list of unique attributes to Knoxville. It's a fun place to visit, too. The Women's Basketball Hall of Fame is a nice museum with loads of history, artifacts, and information about one of the most popular female sports around the world. It is mostly displayed in a chronological order from the beginning of the museum through the loop to the entrance again, so it's like walking through time when you explore this sport. It is self-guided so you can go as fast as you like, or take your time at each informative board. They also have a large recreational area at one end of the museum with a few regulation-height basketball goals and several balls. Kids are encouraged to play while the adults take a break on the benches nearby. At the end of the loop around the museum is the hall of fame with photos and information about all the members. Finally, you exit through a gift shop that takes you bake to the entrance. A trip around the hall of fame and museum can take as little as forty five minutes, or as much as two hours. With the exception of the recreation area, the hall of fame is located on a single floor so it's easy for people with walking disabilities to access. Parking is located on site and free of charge, which is also easy to access near downtown. Along with being the only hall of fame in the world dedicated to this sport, Knoxville also lays claim to the World's Largest Basketball which sits atop one end of the building on the outside. Be sure to see this thing at night; it really lights up the skyline! TIP: Be sure to visit Fort Sanders right across the street while visiting the hall of fame.

Yelp
The Hall of Fame is an absolute must-see in Knoxville. It is loaded with rich history of women's basketball and includes memorabilia from iconic figures including Pat Summit and many others. The tour can be self-guided or you can have a representative take you through. They encourage field trips for all ages. The tickets are very affordable and the location is less than 1 minute from Gay Street and Market Square. Whether you are a Knoxville native who has never visited, or a visiting guest to the city, I highly recommend you stop in to the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame and check it out!
