Wonder View Trailhead

The Wonder View Trail is a challenging and steep trail to hike but well worth it for the views at the summit. You can see the Hollywood sign from behind it, and views of both valleys below on a clearer day. Highly recommend if looking for a challenging hike in the Hollywood Hills.

Amazing view of LA from the top by the Hollywood Sign! The hike takes about an hour or even less, and the view at the top is absolutely stunning. If you’ve only seen the Hollywood Sign from the front, I highly recommend coming up here to see it from the back — plus you get incredible panoramic views of the city. It can get windy, so bring something warm. And take your time on the way up — the trail is pretty steep.

This is the shortest and probably nicest way to hike the Hollywood Sign, and the steepest as well. If the gate near the trailhead is locked, just use the trail on the righr side to go under it. Also, the trail is rocky and steep in parts, but if my grandpa could do it all the way to the Sign and back pretty easily, you probably can as well.

Great hiking trail! Took the long route back to my car! So, hiked to the Wisdom Tree to the Hollywood sign and finally took the road to the car! Great hike, great walk all together!

Lovely hike, mostly on a paved road. The views of the reservoir and big houses are nice, but of course the view of the Hollywood sign is what you come for. We took the left fork and didn't see much of the sign until turned around halfway through and walked back. It was behind us the whole time! We walked with our little ones (8 and 10) and the 3.6 miles was lot for them, but they did fine. It'sa very flat hike and worth the climb up the hill back to our car.

Challenging but gorgeous hike highly recommend going near sunset if you can time it right!!

Easy to moderate trail with amazing views. From the parking lot, you walk up to the wisdom tree, and the next stop (if you want to continue) to the opposite site is the Hollywood Sign. No shade along the trail. The views of Universal studios, DTLA, the observatory, and the Hollywood lake make this hike rewarding. But plan accordingly. Street parking gets full after 9am and there are no services nearby (not water or bathroom)
