After brunch, we checked out the toys department of Wong hypermart and we found that their in-house cartoon “Wongders” – a group of cute imagined characters who live in “Wongderland”, are actually on sale. The original price of the soft toy was 70 soles and they’re on sale for 20 soles. So after spending a good 15 minutes deciding on the quality, cuteness and character. In my personal opinion this is the best supermarket in Lima. I was able to find my favorite beer from Munchen Germany, and a few coca leaves for a nice tea. Hi quality products, very good selection, extensive selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. NOT all locations are as nice ! This review is for Miraflores location.

A wide variety of local and imported foods, simple to fancy. Selections of gluten free, dairy free and vegan options as well.

One of the oldest Wongs. I believe this is the first one. Good food and location with a variety of food and now they sell toys and appliances.

Great variety of supermarket items, very similar to a Target store in the states. The younger staff leaves something to be desired, they don’t seem to fully understand words like the older workers do. You have to repeat yourself to them for words to make sense to them before they help you.

The Wong supermarket chain is an essential shopping experience when looking for everyday items and more. They are conveniently located near hotels and main areas. The Wong sign is clearly visible. The supermarket provides all the essentials for your stay from toiletries, food and drink. The prices are reasonable and the staff are helpful. There are a few automatic tills, but using the standard till is better. The store is easy to navigate and signs are in Spanish, but you will be able to find your way.
