Another WFH lunch time coffee adventure. I'm gonna miss the do-able traffic times we've been having... But we decided to take advantage of these last few weeks before traffic inevitably gets worse for the summer time.
Woodcat is a woman owned coffee shop along Sunset Blvd, near a lot of other interesting shops and restaurants, so once things fully open back up, I can imagine this being a good spot to grab a coffee and walk around. For now, even as things are starting to open up, they have an order at the door/window type service, which I appreciate. Street parking was relatively easy when I went, but I don't know if that's the norm or if it'll continue to be in the upcoming summer months and with relaxed Covid guidelines. We tried asking the guy taking our order but he pretty much rushed us out of there, haha. It wasn't busy but maybe he was just having a hard day, I won't take a star since it's my first time and I'll have to come back and see if that was just an off day. We've all been there.
So you walk up, order, and wait for them to make your drink(s). Unfortunately there isn't a lot of space to wait around since it's just a sidewalk and there's people constantly passing by, so you're just maneuvering your way around the passerbyers. They're quick to make the drinks though. They have super delicious pastries available as well. I am a sucker for chocolate chip cookies and this place did not disappoint. I think they bring them in from a local bakery. We ordered our usual iced oat milk lattes, and they were really well made. I loved the perfect milk to coffee ratio. I hope all of this stands the test of time because I would love to make this a regular go-to spot.
