Woodcraft Cafe

First time eating here today. Had the brisket burger with onion rings. The burger had a nice chargrilled flavor and the onion rings were homemade and delicious. I tried one of my friend’s fries and although they are also homemade and not frozen, they were thick and not as crunchy as I personally enjoy so I’ll stick with the onion rings. I’ll certainly be back to try some of the other menu items.

Ate here for the first time with my mom for lunch. Looking from the outside can be deceiving. It’s a gas station converted into a restaurant. It’s a nice country atmosphere and seems like they have adequate seating. You walk of to a counter to place your order from a variety of different choices. I would like to go back and try the burgers but on this visit I went with the Jerk Chicken. It’s served with their own homemade jerk sauce and grilled pineapple. The sandwich was juicy and flavorful and would be something I would get again. Their French fries were a very thick cut fry and were ok but I would have preferred a thinner cut. I wish there were half stars as I feel like they deserve at least a 3.5 bit not as high as 4 for me. Again, this was my first visit and trying additional menu items in the future my bump up my rating. Overall, it was good, the staff was friendly and if I have the opportunity, I would go back.

We really, really want to like this place and keep trying on different days or times. The woman at the cash register is friendly and capable and the building has been redone into a really great vibe. Unfortunately those are the best things I can say about it.

The food was just ok.l; however my husband was sick all night. The food was a bit on the salty side. It was a cute cafe with a little store, but all in all the food didn’t meet my expectations. The service was just ok. The young ladies were playing in their hair. One sneezed and did not wash her hands.

This cafe is the perfect local restaurant to support!! It is family owned and the kitchen is run by a father and son who are both culinary school graduates! The service is great, the food is wonderful, and the atmosphere is excellent as well!

For one of the best experiences in healthy home cooked meals you have to stop off in Wetumpka at the Woodcraft Cafe.. This is home cooking done right. This cafe is heads and shoulders from any I've been .. did I mentioned the desserts OMGOODNESS!! simply delicious!! Everything is cooked and made with love .. and you can taste it .. I stopped by on Friday and had fried catfish cabbage red potatoes and hush puppies ( and of course peach tea ).. and it was a meal to remember.. The cafe is great and supports local artisans .. the dining and waiting area and restrooms are highly maintained and super clean .. The hostess and staff were excellent.. I will be back .. I hope on peach cobbler day .. 😁😁.. A 10+ cafe for sure ..and yes I will be back .. I almost forgot you must try the Brisket burger and fries and Key Lime Cake .. 🤤🤤..

Very welcoming place with great customer service and tasty food! I had fried chicken, field peas, mac and cheese, and corn bread dressing. I finished it off with the lemon pound cake. All were delicious!!! Highly recommend.

Wow are we impressed!!! This was our first visit to Woodcraft Cafe so we asked for recommendations and Sharon the owner along with her staff Aalyia and Madi filled us in the menu and the favorites. We ordered the Smokin' Burger and oinion rings along with pecan pie and blueberry cheesecake and everything was fantastic!!!! The restaurant is welcoming, clean, decorated super cute and we will most certainly be back as there is a whole menu of delicious items to try!!

I ordered a ribeye sandwich and vegetables. Loved them. Loved the fried okra and cucumber salad as well as the sandwich.

We went to River Perk coffee in Wetumpka. After grabbing coffee we asked about a local breakfast spot and was recommended to Woodcraft Cafe. Omg! You have to check this place out. The food was really good and to top it off this family is so genuinely nice people. We will be visiting this restaurant again!!!

I leave a 1 star because of the lady that takes the payment for the food who I think is the owner. If you complain just a little she gets a bad attitude. Pretty much called my wife liar and tried to just give us the entire meal free. The fish my wife got was cold and my wife mention it to her and it pissed her off. Not a good way to handle a complaint from a customer. Well we will never go back.

Great food. Daily specials on a buffet as well as a menu to order from. Cute little cafe with a gift shop. Friendly staff.

My profile says San Francisco but I can't get it to correct that - it's Wetumpka. I've given this restaurant 3 tries and each time the food was horrible. When they first opened I got take out - 2 different dishes and we threw them away. My son went there yesterday and told me the fries were greasy and he threw the food in the trash. I wish they were good since they are so convenient to us but they don't seem to be improving.

The food was awesome . The cobb salad was very good . The service by the employees was a bit rude I am not sure was it due to other circumstances in the restaurant or what . But they were quite rude to me . . I would definitely do takeout next time I felt very unwelcome.

Service with a smile plus the most delicious bacon!! You must order it. A converted gas station that looks fabulous! Staff was friendly and most important my eggs were cooked over medium perfectly. We are coming back tomorrow if they are open.

I did not expect when we drove up for it to be such an awesome place. It has such a nice ambience and a wonderful family who runs it as well as incredible food!My family would definitely go back!!!!

Clean, clean, clean! Fresh cob salad wonderful! We ate on Saturday around noon. That day was not breakfast, grill and a couple of salads are on the menu. Clearly owners are doing their best to serve delicious food in a rural setting.

Great little local cafe. They have a hot bar with several meats and different veggies each day. They are only open for lunch, except Thurs. and Friday nights. They serve a limited seafood dinner on Thursday and steak on Friday nights. They also offer hot sandwiches cooked to order. Good food and friendly staff are what you'll find here.

Go see Don and the ladies at Woodcraft Cafe! Great had the catfish last week and was darn good and so were the veggies! Then I had a biscuit and gravy this Morning but in order to get the biscuit I have to smell the SMOKE! Then decided to throw an order in on some smoked wings with Alabama white sauce. Excellent! Great gameday favorite. I'll be back more often! Get ya some Woodcraft soon

A friend and I ate breakfast the first week they were open. It is mostly a buffet but they cook the eggs in the back. $8.99 for 2 eggs, grits, toast and a bite of ham, sausage patty and bacon. I ordered coffee with my meal and the cost was $14.66 without a tip. My coffee must have been $5. It sure isn't as good as Chappy's or even the Waffle House. I did try it again at lunch the next week and still wasn't impressed with the quality of food. I won't be going back.

Do yourself a favor and get the fried shrimp po boy sandwich. You won't regret it. Some of the nicest folks around run this place, and they do a good job with it. So nice to have a place like this close to the river.

Great southern cooking to go fast and very courteous highly recommend checking this place out they are mmmm

I got poppyseed chicken over rice, Lima beans, and a side salad with a sweet tea. Never had poppyseed chicken that ever tasted anything like this. It was not good to the point that I threw the entire plate away and got food from the gas station. The Lima beans tasted like they came from a can, the tea tasted like the container it is made in. The ranch dressing is the only this that tasted good. Will never eat here again.
