Amazing! This place is nice and family friendly. The staff was so patient with my family and I, eight of us who had no clue what to order. I am vegan the options where great and the food cooked to perfection. I always add pepper to my food when I eat out, this food DID NOT lack in flavor. If you are in the area please stop I promise you want regret it.

I'm excited to find a high quality Indian restaurant in Charlotte. They have a great deal... northern India feast that gives you the choice of Two curries along with naan, a soup, lentils and a dessert. Love spice level and flavor of all the dishes.

Best place for dosa in Charlotte. Sadly, was told that the restaurant has been sold and is closing in a month. New owners are committed to vegetarian menu but not South Indian food.

Love this restaurant. Service at Indian restaurants may at times seem rude, especially to us southern white folks. I think its a cultural thing. We can seem rude sometimes too. Be polite, show some respect and interest, and they will reciprocate. To be honest, the food is so good, they could throw it at me, and I would still go back for more. They have a curry sampler dish that is wonderful. Just don’t be in a hurry when you go, its not that kind of place. Try the Chai Tea as well. All Vegetarian and great for those of us who love spicy.

I must say that I don't believe some of these reviews. My son and I have been here twice and both times we have had a WONDERFUL experience. I can't believe that these people were rude because of the respect and patience they treated us with. I was very nervous because of the location and the fact it was our first time eating Indian food. It was also close to closing time so I feared the food wouldn't be fresh (boy was I wrong). It was very hot and fresh and came out very quickly. We did not know the menu so we pulled up images online of things we wanted to try and showed it to them. We were all over the place with what we wanted but they didn't seem to be bothered. Our experience was amazing they made us feel very comfortable and on the way home my son and I continuously spoke of their kindness and the flavors. He is very hard to please but he's ready for a third trip.

I think the bad reviews are unwarranted. The food is great and the service is good. I'd eat here every day for every meal, if I could afford it. Best Indian food I've had in Charlotte. I recommend the mango lassi, it's tasty and delicious (bonus: helps with the spicy meal if you are less inclined to burn your mouth) and the mushroom mutter. This place keeps a very low overhead, meaning there is usually one waiter for the entire place, at least during the times I've gone. The bad reviews say more about the people writing the review than the restaurant.

Imagine you are the owner of the restaurant and you yourself is the cook - how would you like to make food at your restaurant? I guess this says it all. Still I am tempted to tell you that being in love of vegetarian Indian food is not easy. Even though there are a million of options in Indian Vegetarian diet, making them to perfection is something very few people know. At woodlands, I can never say "one dish was better then another" or "last time this dish was good". Its the consistency of flavor, its the knowledge of spices, its the perfection of application and clearly love of cooking food. I travel from Minneapolis every other week to work at a place that is 30 miles from this restaurant, but I make sure I go to this place at least once. Most wonderful part about the restaurant is that they care about their customers. I remember from last year, there was this idiot waiter who would jeopardize the business of these dedicated owner husband and wife. I guess not once he failed to annoy me (I am talking 5-6 times), but since he has been shown the door, the restaurant is easily pick for the best Indian food in town. Keep up the good work.

Best Vegetarian Indian food in Charlotte!! I go to eat here because of the pure vegetarian menu, knowing that when I at here, I am safe! A while back they added organic options to their menu, which I think was a fantastic idea! The owners work at the restaurant which really feels good knowing they are making sure you're having a good experience.
