Yelp
Such a charming place to stay.
I purchased 2 nights from living social, eager to escape for a few days from our hectic life with a 1 year old.
This place was fanastic, we felt at home from the moment we walked in the front door. Our room was cozy, the bathroom was small but immaculate. And that means a lot coming from me, as I'm extremely critical (and usually grossed out) by hotel bathrooms.
The lady that worked at the front desk was awesome (I think her name was Kim?) She gave us lots of suggestions for what to do and where to go (we were pretending to be tourists) and even a place to park our car since we stupidly decided not to take the metro.
Continal breakfast included cereal, fruit salad, fresh breads/pastries, boiled eggs, coffee/tea. Enough to get you started before a day on the town. The metro was literally a step from the front door, as was the Marriott Wardman park. I highly recommend taking the metro, as parking is limited and costs around $20 a night.
Just a warning, there is NO TV and NO Radio! I was worried hubby would have a major meltdown, but he did surprisingly well, considering it was NBA All-Star weekend. We were having so much fun we didn't even miss all the technology. They do have free Wi-Fi and laptops for you to use.
The only reason I'm giving this place 4 stars is because we were so cold. There was a warm spell that ended just before we came, and we were staying on the basement level, so it was pretty chilly. Unfortunately, we couldn't regulate the temps on our own.
We will definitely be back, and will recommend it to our friends/family who visit the area.
