Fantastic experience - the service was excellent, every dish was perfectly executed, and I highly suggest the wine pairing. The owners gave so much detail not only about the wine, but why that one was chosen for the course. From the food to the wine pairings to the staff, no detail is overlooked. True perfection.

Absolutely divine! Thoroughly enjoyed the wine flight that we paired with the perfectly crafted charcuterie board. Chris shared the history and recommended cheese/meat with each wine sample. That night we had the chicken fricassee which was chef’s kiss! So juicy and full of flavor. Ended the night with the apricot tart. I’m normally better about taking photos during a good meal but we were too distracted with the good wine, food, and conversations with Chris and fellow patrons! We are SO glad we had dinner here for our last night of a girls’ trip visiting Montana. Always a good sign when you find a place packed with locals! Such a treat. A must if you’re near or far while in Montana!

Woods Bay Wine and Bottle Shop is Amazing. The food is superb. The menu changes. Everything I've ever eaten has been so good. They have an amazing selection of wines both international and domestic. Go there and be wowed.

Such a special spot! Although my glass of wine was a bit steep ($17) it was worth every penny! Their bread was amazing too.

We came to enjoy some wine and had the place to ourselves. We sat on the back patio. We bought a bottle of Monsalaia Super Tuscan wine to enjoy surrounded by grape vines and lavenders it was such a relaxing way to spend the afternoon. Laura was wonderful and explained all our wine choices in detail. She helped us pick the flavor profiles we enjoy. They also offer appetizers if you like. Dinner service begins at 5:00 and most tables are reserved for dinner guests only. What a great find. It looks small from the outside, but inside the wine selection is impressive. You can even buy bottles to take home at very competitive prices. We are so glad we have this as part of our Montana memories.

Was a nice surprise and special treat! A wine bar with delicious meals prepared for wine pairing. The owner was hands on and new what he was doing. The staff was kind and professional. A must stop if you are an Italian wine enthusiast like me!

I love my rack of lamb but I just had the best of the best rack of lamb anywhere. Wonderful. My wife's scallops were equally tasty also. I think they should be a special with a partial rack and scallops. Surf and turf. Wine pairing might be fun to figur.

Excellent place to stop and try some wine! Dave and his wife are amazing individuals with a store which embodies love and compassion. Dave will answer just about any question you have about wine, he is very knowledgeable and greatly shows his love for his job. The wine is awesome; is handpicked each week to correspond with the food they prepare themselves. They also travel to places to sample the wine they serve. If you're in big fork stop by, you will not be disappointed!! They also have two kitties which are the sweetest things ever.

Besides the great wine and talented wine sommeliers, the food is off the charts! I've always had a great time and delicious experience with each visit.

I can't believe I've lived in the valley for over a year and I'm just now uncovering this roadside GEM. Stopped by on a beautiful summer afternoon and was greeted by two friendly, knowledgeable and endearing bartenders who provided a delightful wine tasting - this month they featured wines from Austria. I'm usually unimpressed and indifferent towards most white wines, but I was pleasantly surprised by all three. So much so that I even purchased the wiener gemischter satz that I'm looking forward to sharing with my partner. The reds were also delightful (I also purchased a Meinklang red.) I had already made dinner plans but did pair my wines with the charcuterie and cheese board. It was delicious - especially the goat cheese soaked in red wine and prosciutto. The presentation was exquisite yet not over the top. Equally as exciting was the wine and bottle shop - to my delight, they had SO many Belgian beers which is my absolute favorite! As an east coaster, I don't see many places around here with such a comprehensive variety of Belgians. I can't wait to come back for a full dining experience. Thank you for an enjoyable afternoon. Hands down. Best food and wine in the area. Emily helped select a wine for dinner, and was on top of service and food. Will be back again and again whatever they have on the menu. Don't think. Just go. And eat and drink good wine.

Absolutely amazing. We came here for appetizers and wine before heading to the neighbors place for an anniversary dinner. Bad move on our part. We should have stayed here. The food here was much more elegant, tasty, and much more care and concern was taken by Will to prepare our dishes. There weren't many people here on a nice fall day, so I'm thinking we got more attention from the owner and Chef Will. But that being said, I believe we would have gotten the same love and yumminess if the place was full. Family owned and operated means love in everything they do. The escargot was awesome. The olives were incredible. Who knew that orange and lemon zest fixed my distaste for olives. I love how the menu changes every 2 weeks and that the menu is so incredibly limited, that the chef can take the best care and concern for the food that is deserved. The wine here is amazingly reasonable and then if you want to be extravagant you can. Ranging from $12-150 for a bottle of wine, there's something for everyone. We were also so incredibly happy with their love for Belgian beers like us. Chimay on tap. Yes please. The variety of bottles of Belgians was awesome. Most I had never heard of. I'm impressed that these guys have a liquor license and yet specialize in wine and beer. Sprinkle in some scotch tasting, and that's why they have the liquor license. Can't believe it. Classy-ness for sure. Will definitely return and not go to the neighbors place.

Wonderful restaurant with exquisite food and wine pairings. Emily and Dave and very knowledgeable and an amazing team - I took my friend out for dinner last year and treated her to a great dinner with recommended wine pairings for each course. Thank you for being here! Can't wait to return.

SIMPLY INCREDIBLE . Hands down one of the BEST places I've been to in the entire state of Montana. We called ahead since we had a large group and we were beyond thankful that they were able to accommodate us. The ambience is chic, classy yet comfortable and still inviting. The back patio is cozy and stunning with all the edible flowers and herbs growing up the cliff mountain. Several of the herbs and flowers are featured in their dishes. Love the farm to table touch! Every single person in our large party was BLOWN AWAY!! All the dishes were on point. Perfectly seared scallops, amazing steaks, fresh garden salads, flavor forward escargot and decadent desserts!! Another amazing detail about this place... They change their menus (food and wine tasting) every two weeks!! We've been needing a place like this in the Flathead Valley for some time now. I'm just sad I didn't find it sooner! To top it all off... the service here is top notch! I can honestly say that this place has some of the best customer service I've experienced while here in Montana. I wish I lived closer so I could enjoy this place more often!! Congratulations to the owners, chef and staff!! You guys are the bomb.com Can't wait to come back!!

Delicious food and excellent service. Small little place from the outside but totally worth going to. Smaller portions but a lot of thought into each dish with great wine pairings. Chris was a great server!

Hidden gem. Absolute delicious cuisine. Great choice of wine and beer and priced very well for the quality. Escargot, zucchini salad, snapper and chocolate mousse.

Came by for a quick bite and saying it was not disappointing is an under statement. The escargot the cheese plate the Korean spare ribs watermelon feta salad and maple panacotta with peaches. Nothing is a disappointment. Must not miss this culinary delight, absolutely delightful! Wine tasting. 6 for $20 is well worth it. Found this gem from france

Was disappointed. Not very friendly staff and they have no local wines to taste, not that I was even offered a tasting. Left and sought out other places to taste and buy new wines. I wasn't even aware they sold food?? It was later in the day and maybe they didn't want to offer a menu?

Lovely place with a nice outdoor area surrounded by herbs and trees. We had their tasting of 2 Whites and 2 reds. Enjoyed all but found the French champagne to be the best and a great price. Snacking plates complimented the wines. Excellent find.

So glad to see a great concept open! We recently visited the in-laws last week and noticed the breakfast place across the street had changed! Oh no! But look, it's now a wine bar! Well... when life gives you grapes.... To our pleasant surprise, it was the same wonderful owners - but with an exciting new twist! We had the opportunity to do a tasting with Dave and Emily one evening and it was fantastic! They were both very knowledgeable and you can tell they were excited about it. The pricing was very reasonable, especially for the tastings! They had 2 levels (I do not recall what they referred to them as, so I'll just refer to the levels as Delicious and Amazing.) I believe they were $20/$25 for 6 different samples. The menu changes every week, so you get an exciting new wine experience every week! They had a small plates menu, which we looked at but didn't try (I wanted to save room for wine.) It looked pretty good though. Dave and Emily told us about some past tasting and dinner style events they had. We grabbed a few bottles (highly recommend the Domaine De Fobtsainte and the Les Pallieres Rosé), and some beer also. We are looking forward to our next visit. In the meantime, good luck and keep having fun!

Woods Bay Wine is small but impressive. It is a rare find in Flathead Valley. The menu is emailed once a week. Limited selection due to the small kitchen. What makes the restaurant special is the attention to detail. From the quality of the ingredients to the plating of the food, Woods Bay Wine makes dining out an experience. Hard to find in the valley. If you like the weekly posted menu, you must go. It's not perfect, but it's the best.

Amazing food, awesome service! The owners and staff are fantastic and are so very knowledgeable. Went on Thai night and was blown away. We did a wine flight and a scotch flight as well. Couldn't be happier with this little gem.

Great place for wine tasting. You might be surprised. A small business that provides wines from small batch producers so a great opportunity to taste new wines as opposed to the wines you could find in any grocery store.

Run--don't walk--to this place before the secret is out! It was surprisingly quiet when we were there (our party of 10 was easily accommodated on the new patio) but I have a feeling it won't be like that for long. The service was fantastic and friendly and the food and wine were the best I've had in a very long time. Scallops were on the menu (we were told the menu changes every couple weeks) and--I cant overstate this--they were the BEST scallops I've ever had. Better yet they were accented by herbs we saw the staff pick fresh from the garden in the back. Can't recommend it enough and wish nothing but great things to this place and its team.

This place is amazing. Such a fun wine tasting. My husband really enjoyed the scotch tasting while I sipped on 6 wonderful wines. The owner is so knowledgeable and fun, and we had a great time. We tasted the charcuterie plate with our drinks, and will be back for dinner soon. Highly recommend this little gem to entertain your guests or for a lovely evening out with your partner or girlfriends. They have a nice shaded patio as well! 5 stars for service and wine and food!!!

We had driven by this place many times and finally decided to stop to taste wine. We were surprised to find that they have food - small plates plus dinner on fri and Saturday. We tried king crab cakes. Delicious. And the wine flight was really great. We came back for valentines dinner and had the best meal we've had in a very long time. Everything was delicious. 4 course meal with wine flight was truly a great dining experience. Prices very reasonable for such great food. $50 for 4 course meal; $80 for meal plus paired wine flight. This place will be a regular for us.
