I didn't stay in a room, so there was no rating there. The location was chill, beautiful, full of wild flowers, places to sit in the shade or the sun, and varied types of seating for comfort. I thought it was a bit odd for my order to be served outside when I was standing in front of the counter. The lemon poppy seed loaf was decadently flavoured and lavishly decorated with strawberry icing and coconut shreds. The matcha tea was good but small for what was charged. Thank you for a lovely morning on the deck at Woods :)

We stayed in the Airstream Flying Cloud for 3 nights and absolutely loved it. The setup, amenities, and surroundings exceeded our expectations. Curtis was incredibly friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely be back! Oh, there were a couple of deer walked by graciously while we were enjoying the outdoor hot tub. Unique experience :)

Woods on Pender is one of those rare places that truly gets everything right. From the moment you book to the moment you leave, the experience feels intentional, thoughtful, and elevated.||The hospitality is outstanding, every need is met with kindness and efficiency. The check-in process is seamless, with clear notifications sent right to your phone. Everything is well-organized, spotless, and exactly where it should be. You can tell they’ve thought through every detail.||Dave and Curtice are wonderful people, genuinely inviting, easy to talk to, and always happy to share helpful tips or information about the island. Their presence adds a personal and welcoming touch that makes the stay even more special.||The cabins and airstreams strike the perfect balance between comfort and nature. The hot tub is always clean and warm, the BBQ is spotless, and the entire site feels peaceful, safe, and beautifully maintained. It’s one of the few places where I can fully relax and feel taken care of.||The food and pastries are absolutely delicious... fantastic coffee... some of the best I’ve had on the Gulf Islands. Whether you’re there for a weekend getaway or a longer stay, it truly feels like royalty-level camping, a beautiful, unique experience that blends rustic charm with modern comfort. I go there every single year.... Highly recommended.

This is for the restaurant, though it also looks like a great place to stay. The chef was kind enough to let us in to see the menu while closed, and we had a long and lovely chat about his work. He kindly found a spot in the full weekend schedule for our friends for dinner. We bought his remaining morning pastries, and they were outstanding. We had picked up some treats at the island bakery, and they were but pale shadows compared to his homemade turnovers, gallettes and vegan cookies.

After the culmination of some difficult heath issues, my partner and I needed an escape and Woods was exactly what we needed to get away from it all. We stayed in Airstream 3 and I felt relaxed and calm and happy. The hammock facing the woods was a highlight and we put the hot tub to good use as well. The bed was cozy and comfy, the kitchen impressively well equipped and we will definitely be back and definitely recommend this place! Unique and the perfect escape. 10 out of 10!

My family had a wonderful stay at WOODS. We stayed in Cabin3 with the newly set-up tent, which was warm, stayed dry in the rain, and had an incredibly comfy bed. We greatly appreciated all the specific details. Curtis was an excellent and engaging host, and an even better Chef! The staff were kind and accommodating as well. We would love to be back again. Thank you!

Curtis is a fantastic host. The units are quaint and cozy, they have everything you need for a quiet getaway. We had coffee and pastries for breakfast and they were delicious. The dinner severed in the Kitchen in the evening was spectacular. I would highly recommend this little gem.

Yelp
What a wonderful resort to relax and unwind! A true hidden gem on Pender Island. A unique yet wonderful experience. True peace and quiet. A long soak and rejuvenation in a private hot tub, surrounded by greenery and chirping of dozens of birds. One of our night while walking, a fawn stumbled across my path and said hi. Wow! Amazing! The airstream was very comfortable. Nice queen bed. Own shower and bathroom. Hot water. Wifi. Cable. Amazon firebox. Kitchen with microwave and gas stove. Cutlery, pots and pans. Outside you have your own fire pit, 2 person hot tub whirling away and just waiting for you. A bbq set and lawn chairs and a huge umbrella to shade you. A huge hammock for those afternoon book readings. i mean, What more can you ask for? Air-streaming doesn't get any better than this! And the best part...the staff are so nice and accommodating. They'll give a quick orientation on what to do etc and if you need anything, they are a txt msg away. Yet, you are surrounded by nature and a lush flora. Around the property there are countless trails and everything is within a 5-10-15 min drive. There are cafes close by, farms, a bc liquor store, bookstore, restaurants, etc. everything is opening up now. Please go and support local and your backyard. Super easy to book and confirm. Also easy to cancel If ever. But dont. Its worth it. Thank you Dave for all your help! God Bless the Queen! ;) Cheers! happy camping!

Yelp
Lovely service and great food. This restaurant is obviously a labour of love. It's a unique menu but lots of great choices. I went with the spaghetti and meatballs, but everything at our large table looked fantastic. It's extra great when you are staying in the motel onsite.

Yelp
We called and left a message by phone, requesting a return call, not once but 3 times --we needed a couple of questions answered before booking...I don't like paying/booking online without knowing what it is I'm buying?. ...They didn't BOTHER to return the call. That is an extremely unreliable/unprofessional way to run an accommodation business for out of town potential guests.

Yelp
Visited Woods tonight for the first time, and I was beyond impressed! Beautiful little spot. Great cocktails! We both ordered pizza's and they were amazing. Great portions, lovely service, beautiful ambience. So happy a client of mine recommended Woods to me. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Spent the weekend in one of their cabins! Had an absolutely great time & the owner, Curtis, did everything for us (literally even picking us up from the ferry). He was seemingly understaffed for the weekend because his worker was away, but I never felt that we weren't being paid attention to. Curtis very obviously cares about his establishment & we will certainly be going back as well as suggesting it to people we know. They have fantastic food (I can't stress that enough), allow pets on the resort, & really treat their guests well. The space that they have has a little trail on the back of the property & we really felt like we had a run of the place. The single reason that they get 1 less star is because there were some beer cans in front of our cabin, a bit of a mess on the side of our cabin & plastic broken furniture in front of our cabin on the lawn. Also, while we were staying at the hotel there was a wasp problem! (All of which I'm sure is temporary.) I feel bad writing that even anything was not up to 5 stars on our stay because I had such a good time.

Yelp
Hubby and I spent a weekend in one of the airstreams. Will definitely be back. John and Curtis were beyond helpful......such a refreshing treat in today's busy world. We ate, slept, hiked, frisbee golfed, relaxed and truly enjoyed Woods on Pender. Our batteries were recharged. Tip - no hassle way to travel to the southern gulf islands - go on a motor cycle.

Yelp
My husband and I spent 2 nights on Pender at a vacation rental on the Southern tip of the island, and kept driving by this place to and from the grocery store. We decided to stop at Coffee Kitchen for lunch on our way back to the ferry, and were blown away not only by the rustic/hipster/modern vibe of the place, but also the quality and style of the menu offerings, as well as David's natural ability to make his guests feel genuinely taken care of. My husband had the Wild burger, and I tried the mac and cheese. Both were exceptional, and it showed that the owners sourced fresh, local ingredients. We shared an Affogato Baileys for dessert, which also surpassed all expectations, and ended up buying a pound of the Fernwood coffee they used for their espresso as a result. After lunch, we toured the accommodation sites, and agreed that when we return next year, perhaps we'll take a crack at staying in an Airstream. We hope the business survives the hot-and-cold island tourism industry, because Woods on Pender seems like a great little hidden jewel.

Yelp
We ate at the restaurant January 2016, it was one of the few places that were open for dinner. We were delighted with the full menu. Three years later, we made the reservation and went back. We were surprised to see the menu was only pizza, burgers and gnocchi. Appetizers and salad selections were adequate, however, we were expecting the full menu. We ate gnocchi and burgers, but a little disappointed. We were told the owner only cooks full menu for people he knows. If you are expecting pizza and burgers, this place would be OK.

Yelp
Amazing food, super friendly staff. I think every restaurant on Pender serves the same exact items. Sockeye, pizza, fish and chips, pasta. Woods just happens to do it very well. Their brunch is outstanding. The place is charmingly nestled in... you guessed it... the woods! With a quaint little dining room with some small tables, some longer shared tables, and a lovely patio for great summer evening weather. Excellent wines and beers too. The crowd is hit or miss, come at 5 and you probably need a reservation though.

Yelp
Took my wife away for a little one year anniversary getaway. LOVED this place. We will be back for sure. We had a cabin with private hot tub, bbq and fire pit. The cabins are clean and comfortable. The hot tubs are hot and a good size. We went to the kitchen for brunch and had a fantastic plate of eggs, biscuits, bacon and sausage. It was a fantastic weekend, the staff are great and they clearly care very much about the resort. The cabins are positioned in a way that you don't hear your neighbours and our hot tub sat behind a fence so you had privacy. Such a fantastic place, can't wait to go back!

Yelp
YES. Stayed in an Airstream at Woods on a rainy April weekend and had a wonderful time. The airstream was comfortable and nicely decorated, and LOVED the private hot tub on deck and the fire pit. The most unexpected part of the stay was the food- the breakfast menu featured hands down the best cinnamon bun I have ever eaten. The owner/chef is incredibly skilled and creative, and the staff are delightful. I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
We had a lovely chat with Curtis, the owner of the new Woods on Pender. They've done a great facelift to the property and with nice, clean Scandinavian decor. We came back for dinner that evening and enjoyed a really tasty meal. We had the Ribs with Mashed potatoes, the "Big Salad", which included lots of local veggies, and also the Gnocchi with prosciutto and basil. Menus change often to use fresh ingredients. All of the food was well-seasoned and served in small cast iron skillets on beautiful handmade wooden boards, great wines on tap (Okanagan) and lots of beer and good cocktail choices as well. This is a wonderful addition to Pender Island for both locals and visitors! Thanks Curtis and team for investing in the island!

Yelp
This place is pretty good- the location is fantastic, they are super cute trailers, the wee little hot tubs and the space between trailers is good. Downsides? Not many, but it wasn't as clean as I would have liked for $250/night. The face cloths smelled of B.O. (not even sure they were washed?) and everything just looked like it could use a real good cleaning (like the couch cushions). A few doors/drawers were busted and it was pretty bare bones for cooking equipment. I know this is run like a cabin but I'd rather bring my own bedding and towels and get a discount. Might be an idea since owner admitted housekeepers are hard to come by on the island. This is higher than I would usually rate but it is so darn cute and the view from no.1 was amazing. Our car couldn't make it up the hill so we had to pack our stuff up. I'd like to try the cabins another time as this seems a pretty decent place for Pender, but I'll prob bring my own linens next time.

Yelp
My wife and I just spent a relaxing and peaceful 3 nights at Woods on Pender in their ocean view International Airstream, The accommodation was first class. David and John were very friendly and helpful, The restaurant is another first class part of this lodging, excellent food and service I will definitely be returning and would recommend this to anyone looking to get away from the busy city and unwind,

Yelp
Airstreams, hot tubs, hammocks, cocktails, star gazing, trail walking...the list could go on! My partner and I stayed at the Woods with our dog and loved every moment - Yes they are pet friendly! Such a special place for a relaxing get away :) And if it couldn't get any better, word has it they are even starting to offer specialized retreats! We will definitely be back!!
