The location is very good, near bus stops. The free breakfast is quite good and the people working there were really kind and helpful. There is a deposit for bedsheets and a towel which is not mentioned before until day of arrival, however, they refund it once you check out (don't lose the ticket they give you). Shower worked perfectly and hot water all the time. No complains about the bathroom. I am overall very happy with the service.

I enjoyed my time here. It sucks that you have to buy a towel for 3€. Also, all the rooms are adjacent to the winding staircase so its a little noisy in the evenings and mornings. You can’t bring outside alcohol on the premises. But the breakfast was free and tasty. The place was really clean, and the staff was nice.

Place is dirty. Rooms are suppose to be cleaned from 11am-2pm, but they only take out the trash. Toilets are filthy and some smell of urine. You can hear everything going on outside your room, so it is not ideal if you're looking for some place quiet. Location is okay. As far as atmosphere, not sure since I spent most of the time walking around Paris. Staff was nice and approachable. Overall, I would not recommend this place, but if you decide to stay, choose a room that's not by the toilets, too much noise, and I hope you can stand filthy toilets and showers.

I loved the atmosphere! The breakfast was very good compared to the other hostels we stayed at. It lost a star because of the beds - very creaky - and they need to oil the door's hinges something terrible. The resident cat was my best friend and everyone was very kind. Extremely fun!

I've stayed at hostels in Paris before, they are very hit and miss. Either you get a really clean hostel with reception and staff that are hard to deal with, or you get a disheveled hostel with really fun staff who just want you to have a good time. This hostel stands in the middle of these two polar opposites. For how hard it is to find space in Paris, this hostel does a fine job of fitting people into the space. The staff are genuinely quite friendly, and the keycard entry for hostel and rooms is reassuring security-wise. Bathrooms are small, but it's Paris and that's the way it is. Not a bad thing, especially considering they are detached from the showers, so one doesn't have to wait for someone to finish going to the bathroom to use the shower. The vibe is not quite what one would imagine, as the hostel is not very laid back and reception is vigilant about who enters and exits the building. There is a two hour period in which nobody can enter for cleaning, which can get in the way but is generally reasonable. If traveling with 5, this is the place to be, as there are 5 bed rooms available, and it is really nice to have a room to a party's self for once without having to pay a private room fee.

The rooms are very clean and the atmosphere of this hostel is very invited. Art everywhere you turn there's a never a dull moment for the eye. Open kitchen allows you to save money by making your own food instead of eating out while you're a guest here and they also offer free breakfast. Always a plus.

I really enjoyed this hostel. All the people working in the hostel are very nice and treat you like family. Excellent croissants for breakfast, the bar is cheaper than any other bar in Paris, the kitchen has everything you need and its SUPER clean.

This hostel was terrible. We stayed in a private room for two and the room was in the outside courtyard (which was freezing) with about 4 steps to get into the room with a very large window (making the window accessible from the ground level). We were not made aware that cleaning staff would come into our room even though it was private and then when we came back at night we found that the cleaning staff left the giant window wide open. Someone could have EASILY climbed into our room. Complete disregard of safety. I would NEVER stay here again

Yelp
Cool Hosel in an interesting area of town... Close to the Moulin Rouge Show House... The hostel is about 3 stars for accomodations as the bathroom is a mess after 20 or more people shower at night in a small single stall washroom... The beds are decent for what they should be. They have a friendly lobby/bar/hangout lounge downstairs with decent prices on beer... Inexpensive way to say in Paris...

Yelp
I have a habit of being pessimistic of hostels in the first 24 hours, until I'm there long enough to get used to and understand. I've treated them like relationships in that you can't compare new ones to previous ones, you need to look at what it is as a stand alone. Sure, the 11am to 3pm lockout could be frustrating, but who travels all this way to sleep all day? What is really bad is that there is only one toilet per floor. You have to pay for bedsheets as well. No towels provided. etc. Cool. The showers are the ones where you have to push the button every 10 seconds which really pissed me off at first, but I got used to it. Really hostels come down to the people who are sleeping with you in your room. Mine were all really cool. Except for one guy who was really obnoxiously loud every morning. Stay here - it's good!

Yelp
The walls here are very, very, very thin. Everything is very, very, very loud and creaky. Beds and pillows are comfortable, though the blankets are quite thin and a bit short. There's croissant, baguette, and coffee breakfast included, as well as maps and lockers at the front desk. Our four-dorm room has a sink, and I think the entire floor shares a bathroom and a shower. Shower is okay, though you have to keep pressing the button every so often to keep water on. Location is quite good, close to Anvers and Cadet metro stops. Pricing is okay too at about €16 a night for a four-person dorm. Not bad, about average!

Yelp
After a recent trip to Paris, I found myself very frustrated with this hostel. I stayed at this hostel for the first time just over a year ago and enjoyed it very much. It seems as though over the year, the friendliness has faded away. The Not So Good: After a VERY long day of traveling my friends and I arrive at the hostel to be greeted by a man did not seem all too thrilled to have us checking in. He gave very inaccurate instructions to my friend on how to get to her room, which left her circling the courtyard until I was able to tell her where her room was. The rest of the staff we encountered seemed to have the same attitude. A little frustrating, but not the end of the world. By far, the most frustrating thing about this hostel is the 1100-1500 lockout. DO NOT plan on a good sleep-in after a night out in Paris with this rule. Last time I stayed here I was told it was to clean the rooms, however, when we arrived back at the hostel, that did not seem to be the case. Also, plan accordingly if you need to take a rest after doing a lot of walking around the city. The Good: A friend and I stayed in a private, two bed room which I found to be very nice. It was small, but enough room. The bathrooms and showers are private which is nice, however, for some odd reason they have absolutely no hooks or racks to hang anything on. The location of this hostel is great. It is about a 3/4 mile to the Anvers metro station, which is very convenient. Also, the Sacré-Cœur is literally just up the street, right past the metro station. There is a great Thai place a few doors down that is great for dinner and in the have a pretty good breakfast in the morning with coffee, juice, cereal and croissants. Overall: This really is not a bad hostel. It's location is great and the hostel has all the basic amenities you need. It was just a little sad to no longer see they friendly atmosphere I saw a year ago.

Yelp
The hostel isn't located in the most exciting area but the public transportation will get you where you want to go. My friends and I stayed in a Standard 6 Bed Female Dorm room (~€26/person/night). The room was clean, our bunk beds were comfortable (but creaky), and each person had a locker/safe for their valuables. Our room had a sink but the toilets and shower were located in a separate area since the entire floor shared them. Bring flip flops because the shower floor is pretty gross. The hostel serves a light breakfast in the common area (bread, croissants, juice, etc), which was super nice because you can grab a quick bite before exploring the city. The members of the staff were friendly and helpful when we asked for restaurant/bar/attraction recommendations. I'd recommend this hostel if you're traveling on a budget and don't mind bunking with strangers.

Yelp
The only benefit to having stayed in this hostel is soley due to the staff, they were undoubtedly friendly and helpful. The location is horrible; it is known as the worst part of town I subsequently found out after paying for my 5 night stay. The bathrooms are filthy, my friend is even convinced she was bit by bed bugs the entire time we were there (she has the bite marks to show for it). I highly recommend staying somewhere else in a safer location, possibly paying extra for the lack of bed bugs and mold infested bathroom.

Yelp
What this hostel lacks in high class amenities and location it makes up for in in deep character. If you want to stay at a great place to meet people and have an awesome time go here. If you're looking for more seclusion and privacy I would suggest somewhere else.

Yelp
Cool place but its hard to sleep given the street noise and noise of rooms around you. Very clean and friendly, great for your money. Free breakfast is a plus because Paris is quite expensive.

Yelp
You have to be lucky with the crowd in this small, basic, but comfortable hostel. The best thing about it is the area - the up and coming 9th, that has recently graduated from dangerous junkie emporium to Bobo chic so things are still cheap and it's not at all likely that you'll be stabbed. Right down the road from a supermarket (a terrible one, granted, but this is France after all) and a laundrette (closed two days a week, but this is France after all) and a tasty boulangerie (where the workers will nearly spit at you, but this is..ok, enough), it's a twenty minute walk to the Louvre, following Rodier and faubourg Montmartre directly south, and Montmartre village is about five minutes north. There are a plethora of bars all around, and they are a relief from the gritty touristy hell of pigalle just a few streets away.
