What is it about warm weather and traveling that inspires one to cast aside the daily intake of nutritious food and splurge on something you'd indulge on more often if there were no calories or fat in it? And, while May is not quite ice cream season, it is unseasonably warm today, and I am on vacation! Now, I've enjoyed my fair share of ice cream and other dessert delights on my 60 plus years on this earth (as if I spent time on another earth?) but the maple creamee with maple sprinkles here at Woodstock Scoops now tops my all time inter-galactic list of the very best! Final thought: Did Dr. Smith on Lost In Space creep you out a little when you were a kid too? Enjoy your creamee and don't be a meanie! Peace out!

One weekend, I took my teenage nephew on a quest to find the best maple creamee in Vermont. The winner, by far, is Woodstock Scoops. A medium creamee ina waffle cone is to die for. The staff is great as is the vibe. Highly recommend.

Incredibly friendly staff who can help make great suggestions on what to order . I went with the maple/ black raspberry twist and boy I was not disappointed!! Right in downtown Woodstock it is a must visit on a hot summer afternoon. Very clean atmosphere which is a huge plus!

Great spot to get authentic maple flavored ice cream in Woodstock especially soft serve. I got their Mississippi mud pie and Vermont Maple Walnut hard scoops on a waffle cone and both flavors were delicious. There was a bit of a line when we went but that's just testament to the quality of their products. They also have a range of other locally produced cookies, maple syrup and maple flavored soda on sale.

I absolutely love all the flavors. My family and I come to Vermont only once a year as a family gathering, and out of every dairy product I’ve ever had, The Maple and Black Raspberry Creme is the best thing I’ve ever had. Would come again. Absolutely astonishing!!!!

The creemee tastes great, rich and flavorful, though a bit on the pricey side. That said, the service really needs improvement. Every time I visit, the staff (usually young) come off as rude or disinterested. It takes away from the overall experience. Would love to see better training or more attentive service in the future😊

Visiting Vermont and went back to the town of Woodstock multiple times during my stay, which was 30 mins out from my Airbnb, just so I can buy and delight in the Maple Creemee with Maple Crunch! The best ice cream I have ever tasted in all my life! Service was great! Ambiance is great too! The story of this place is worth a read. Their ice cream is farm to cone. Family owned. Supporting local never felt and tasted so good!

If you've never had a maple cremee, please go out of your way and try one ASAP. One of the best soft serves I've had. I've had a few maple creamers before but this one was over the top! Cute little shop right in the heart of downtown. It felt like Vermont in an ice cream cone.

The consistency of the creemee was silky smooth. It was not too thick and didn't melt fast. This ice cream shop has cute merch inside where you can browse while you wait for your order. You can't go wrong ordering maple creemees and the holiday sprinkles were a fun topping for the cold weather.

Delicious ice cream that is more than fairly priced for this area! The shop is very cute, bright and clean. They have "creemes" which is soft serve or custard in other parts of the country (I believe they had four flavors - vanilla, chocolate, maple and black raspberry) and they had regular scooped ice cream as well. We had a black raspberry creeme and a maple and vanilla creeme. There's no seating inside (they have stand up tables) and a bench outside that seats 4 or 5 people. Will definitely be back!

The Vermont Maple Cremee is a little soft serve treat you can find in a lot of places, but this was the only place I found a maple + pumpkin spice swirl!! It was everything i imagined. They also added maple sprinkles!!! Gaaahhhh. I was in Heaven. Of the many cremees I had while in VT, this was one of the best and certainly one of the most unique. Spoke w the owner for a bit, and he was working hard cleaning up the space. Kind gentleman and friendly staff.

I ordered the caramel ice cream for an after-dinner trip in downtown Woodstock. The caramel ice cream flavor was good. My friend tried the maple vanilla. I especially like that this place had other sweets like moon pies and banana bread. The staff was very nice and helped me choose a flavor and toppings. The service was quick, and they had plenty of seating.

It was just two of us and we got one small maple creemee to share. Having never had one before, this one was delicious. The portions are good for the price, $6 for a small was reasonable because it was a lot. Kind service and a not crowded at all (we went on a Tuesday). The inside was cute, too!

great place! the maple crunchy sprinkles are a little overkill for me in terms of sweetness, but the soft serve is good. what is AMAZING is the pumpkin season creemee. I prefer it over the maple, it was so good.

I had to try this. Maple is not my favorite flavor but I was in Woodstock, VT and it was hot out. The place is right on the main drag. It's sunny and bright and very clean. Staff was friendly and eager to help. While I stuck to a small swirl, my husband went over the top for the everything maple. It was enormous, full of maple ice cream, and maple syrup and maple sprinkles on a maple waffle. Admittedly, I didn't try that. I find the maple flavor quite sweet as it is. Okay, I've done it. I'm glad I did and you should too if you are in the area!

Wonderful ice cream on Woodstock's main street. The single scoop was huge for $5.95. Unfortunately I didn't try any because they use the same scoops for peanut butter, Reese's and other non-peanut flavors. I am deathly allergic to peanuts so had to skip trying any.

TLDR: if you haven't had this before you're missing out! Visited a friend from the area and I was told to make maple creamies a priority. I didn't understand until I tasted it. Definitely one of the best ice creams I have had! It's creamy, buttery, and has strong maple flavor. Love it. Overall: I'd eat this in the winter

Head over heels in love with this creemee shop, which was our final stop in Vermont. We came here before heading out of town, and thought that they had food food, but it's only ice cream in the winter (pro tip: go across the street to The Village Butcher and get yourself a mushroom turnover and die and go to savory pastry heaven). Our daughter shunned the maple in favor of cookies-n-cream scooped on a cone. One of us got their maple blizzard thing and one of us got a vanilla-maple swirl with maple sprinkles and rainbow sprinkles. Vermont dairy is NO JOKE: it always tastes so unbelievably fresh and the ice cream consistency is sillllkkkkkky smooth. We love maple as a flavor, and these concoctions weren't too sweet, which was surprising. Also, the maple sprinkles are out of control delicious!!! Little crunch bombs of flavor! Every single treat was amazing. The younger and older lady working were so sweet and welcoming. We loved this place so much that we bought a $32(!) t-shirt and a package of the maple sprinkles to bring back home. 5 stars! You should definitely go here and we are already excited to come back in the summer...fingers crossed!

Wouldn't be a 40 degree day in Vermont without a trip to a local ice cream shop! Vermont Maple Syrup flavored ice cream with Vermont Maple Syrup sprinkles? Yes please. Service was quick and super cheap. They had hot dogs, and even clam chowder. Parking is a little hard to come by but if you're walking the streets already it's really easy to stop by. Delicious!

Our friends who live in Woodstock recommended trying their ice cream I had to try the maple ice cream soft serve. It is delicious very close to being too sweet but not. The only reason I gave it four stars not five is because the cup had a big hole / space in the middle of the cup , it wasn't filled up

What do you want to have on a hot day? Ice cream! I found this lovely spot called Woodstock Scoops, who offers a soft serve called "Maple Creemee" made and sourced locally. We got there when it was not too busy, and every one was able to keep social distances from one another. They had enticing, sweet, delectable options, such as ice creams of different flavors, milkshakes, and hot fudge sundae. But we really wanted to try the Maple Creemee, a soft serve ice cream flavored with 100% Pure Vermont Maple Syrup. The ice cream mix comes from a small dairy farm in Vermont. We made it the "Ultimate Maple Creemee" by adding maple crunch sprinkles on a Waffle Cone. Oh how amazing it was... The crunch really made the soft serve to the next level, while enhancing the velvety maple syrup flavor. It was worth every penny! One thing that made me remove one star was that it had the paper cone separator on the outside AND the inside of the cone... Making it difficult to eat the ice cream and the cone, you know, with a paper in between...LOL. It was delightful though!

While visiting Woodstock, I wanted to try a maple creamee. I had seen this place online before my travels and couldn't wait to try it. The creamee was delicious, the staff were not great. I was a bit surprised at how expensive it was. Probably wouldn't go back.

We were at a perfect time right after we had lunch in Mon Vert Cafe. Cause the best day we wanted to get some for the kids, it was closed!!!! Just the cremee was good. Not too sweet and light maple taste. But with the maple crunches, made it really sweet. And can't have too much after. They kinda scrapped my tongues. Yes, I was playing with them in my mouth!!!! Nevertheless we enjoyed it. And check the hr and open days b4 going as they are not opened every day.

Delicious maple creemee, but the middle of the swirl was hollow!! The line here was out the door on a Saturday late afternoon. I got a maple creemee ($4.25) and added the maple crunch sprinkles for $1. I recommend the maple crunch sprinkles if you are a fan of honeycomb. They tasted like a combination of maple syrup and honeycomb with the crunch and texture of Grape Nuts cereal.

This place is great. Their maple creme waffle sundae is amazing. Their ice cream is not too sweet where it numbs your tongue but is just sweet enough. The ice cream tastes very clean as well. Highly recommended!

Since the local restaurant Mountain Creamery left the Village of Woodstock there was no where to get ice cream except a highly recommended snack bar a mile away and is open for the Summer season. Woodstock Scoops offers homemade ice cream utilizing local products creating delicious favors of creamees that top a cone or fills a dish . The products always served with a smile and a positive attitude in a clean well maintained shop. It's definitely a needed stop on your itinerary while visiting Woodstock, Vermont.

Got the maple creamee soft serve with maple sprinkles. It was pretty good and i liked the sprinkles, they added a nice crunch and flavor!

We stopped by this place while we were checking out the covered bridge nearby. It was fairly busy at Friday lunch during early Fall Foliage season. Ice creams are around $5 for 2 scoops. There were some interesting options on the menu. We tried the maple creamee (first time having this), as well as an apple cinnamon type one. Both were really good, and the really creamy.

I love love love soft serve and this maple creamee hit the spot - great maple flavor and the sprinkles on top were a great addition. I also like the clean modern old school vibe of the shop - definitely a cute spot.

Very upsetting, it states they're open till 6- we entered at 4:58 and the woman at the registered yelled "were closed".... My group of 4 people asked "oh no already" and she rudely replied "yuppp" The persons inside even said "that was brutal of her". I mean there is a kinder way to express the closure of the store (even though the door was open). I am actually glad I didn't give them my money. People in there clearly don't care for business.

The small soft serve cone is GIANT! I got the maple cremee and the flavor was really great! A tad sweet, but let yourself indulge in this delicious treat :) The price is a bit high for a simple soft serve, but I loved that I could get a maple flavor, which I can't normally find elsewhere. Service was fast and no line in the late afternoon.

We are visiting VT for the first time. Really enjoying our stay in Woodstock. While walking around the downtown found Woodstock scoops. Just the right amount of flavors. Soft serve and hard ice cream. Delicious!

I think this is my 3rd or 4th review on yelp after years! Thats how much i LOVED THIS ICECREAM and i had it on a cold october day! I had the soft choc and vanilla serve with maple chips - ohmygoodness!!! So so so so good! The guy taking my order was supernice tooo!

Great spot for ice cream in town. If you have the timing right, head to mountain creamery instead. But can't beat the convenience! And the ice cream is allllways delicious! People behind the counter are friendly. Not many places to eat the ice cream in the shop- so expect to walk across the street and down the stairs to enjoy by the water! Also, they don't ever have regular chocolate ice cream which is hard to overlook. And kids can't do the classic peek into the window to pick their flavors, they keep all the ice cream in the back and do the orders by ticket.

Had the pumpkin soft serve while on a day trip, and it was the most delicious soft serve. Not too overpowering of a pumpkin spice taste, just right. Very cute little ice cream shop too.

My husband and I had the GREATEST dessert of our lives here! Their special on the board was a liege waffle topped with maple creemee, maple sprinkles and (possibly burbon aged) maple syrup. MIND BLOWING! If you've got the chance to eat it, DO IT! It is WORTH every calorie!!

Woodstock scoops has flavorful ice cream with wonderful texture and taste. The cashiers are very kind and friendly. It's a bit pricey but it's quality ice cream. Would recommend!

My daughters are obsessed with ice cream and have very high standards, having tried virtually every variety available in the greater Boston area. They could not stop raving about the ice cream here! They both got strawberry, which they said tasted amazing--so much fresher than what they're used to. It has actual strawberry pieces in it. We are only here for another day and a half but will definitely return tomorrow and hopefully the day after that.

Closed the door at 3:25pm on a Sunday (posted time was 5pm) and turned away numerous people. My kids went earlier in the day and were overcharged - paid for a medium and were given a small size. On the plus side the soft serve was delicious according to my kids.

They were kind enough to split up a regular ice cream into 2 cups for little kids and the maple creamees were really good!

I am trying to find the Best Maple Creemee in Nh and VT and i will say this place is 4.5/5 i deducted a 0.5 because i thought it was super pricey and i actually didnt find the portion huge.but it is more flavorful than macs but not as thick... i prefer the flavor here and definitely think its one of th best!

This place closed early, very sad. Went at 8:45 and they were closed, everyone laughing inside making us feel bad, brutal. Very disheartening, turned the lights off to push us away. Damn. Wouldn't recommend.

Ice cream in December, yes please! Even though it was a cold and dreary day (wassail weekend) we still got ice cream and are sure glad we did! Not only was the ice cream great the staff were all lovely and the shop is as cute as can be! We'll be back for sure!

Maple creemee was pretty good however the middle of the swirl was hollow, so somewhat disappointing for around $6. I also asked for a second spoon for my husband and was given a tiny sample spoon because they were rationing the regular sized ones .....?
