Beautiful restaurant serving awesome Peranakan food… love the ambience and how serene the surroundings are… never been to this part of Singapore before… today is our first visit, just 2 person and this set meal is just perfect for us to try the must try dishes…. Will bring my whole family here next time and order more dishes…highly recommended

This is a cosy, home-run Peranakan café with limited manpower, so it’s best to come with the right expectations. Don’t expect professionally dressed service staff but do expect heartfelt hospitality. The food is excellent, service is polite, and both the servers and bosses are genuinely friendly. The waiting time can be a little long, but it’s worth every minute. We truly enjoyed the comfortable, relaxed, homey atmosphere.

Service speed was average. Uncle was very friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. Everything was made with love, from scratch and with a twist. The chilli was wonderfully spicy packs a real kick! Atmosphere was a cool chill retro. From a time long ago and nowhere to be found. Loved the effort and love that the chef put into each of her dishes which made the wait for the food and the travel time absolutely worth it

The place is hidden within bungalows. A very nice place to chill out with family & friends. The food is delicious, especially the chicken soup. Most of their food are spicy but they have kids meal for children who can't take spicy food. We ordered their CNY menu which comes with a small Yusheng. The Yusheng has ingredients like apple, mango and mandarin orange slices for a refreshing taste.

November 2025 - Came to try after learning about them through the media. - Food was decent. I enjoyed the nasi ulam. My parents, who love nasi ulam, said it was good. - We made a reservation, and went as soon as they opened on a Saturday. Apparently, our reservation was not recorded, but we did not have to wait to get seated, and the first round of our food was served reasonably quickly. - But, the diners who came after us, even though it was not too crowded, they had to wait quite a long time for their food. - We ordered a second round because we wanted to try some more finger food, like satay, and that took a while. - The decor and vibe of the place is rustic, and rather unusual nowadays.

One of the rare local food joints serving authentic peranakan food. The food is delicious and we appreciate the hard work and preparation that are involved. It's a little off the beaten track but worth the visit. Highly recommended.

Saw an article on the ST about this place and decided to try. It’s very authentic Peranakan cuisine as the chef herself is a Nonya. They also do a westernised twist. The atmosphere is cosy and rustic with lots of knick knacks. Own by a retired couple, they do this as a passion and it shows in the food. The Nasi Ulum is a must try award winning dish. Hard to get to by public transport so driving or getting a cab is advised.

Went to there for lunch. Service: It was extremely slow and it wasn’t even busy (only 3 tables were occupied-our was the biggest grp, the rest were a solo diner and a couple). Drinks didn’t come until we asked. I think our food came about 45mins later. Food: we ordered about 5 dishes. I am a Peranakan myself but the dishes didn’t come with familiar or common tastes (eg: Otah was sourish). Gave them the benefit of doubt- that different family has their own recipe/preferences. Some tasted alright Place: It’s a quite cozy place. Not sure about evening time.
