We had a great experience dining at Woody’s Brewing Company in Redding, CA and a big part of that was thanks to our waitress, Amanda. From the moment we sat down, she was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. She checked in often without ever feeling intrusive, offered helpful suggestions, and made sure everything came out just right. The food at Woody’s was excellent—fresh, hearty, and full of flavor. The portions were generous, and everything arrived hot. The atmosphere was lively but still comfortable enough to enjoy a good conversation. You can tell the place is well-run and takes pride in both its food and service. The Cherry Cider was delicious and refreshing. The BBQ burger hit the spot. I would recommend the monster double patty. The tater tots tasted like nothing I’ve had before. Overall, Woody’s delivered a great dining experience, and Amanda made it even better. We’ll definitely be coming back!

This is an amazing place. The atmosphere is relaxing. The wait staff are chill and friendly. The brews are perfect. We couldn't figure out what to sip after the garlic 🧄 tater tots, but the waitress was helpful and guided us to a cherry cider. This was an amazing choice! Thank you. I wish we got her name, she is amazing. I definitely suggest stopping here!!!

We were seated by a friendly server almost immediately. However, our wait time exceeded 45 minutes (after we ordered). When our food came to the table, both mine and my mothers looked badly overcooked. My mother had fish n chips, and I had a smokehouse burger (medium). I usually do not complain. But waiting 45+ minutes to receive overcooked food seemed ironic to me. My burger had nothing in it except cheese, a squirt of BBQ sauce, and a giant onion ring that I had to take off in order to eat the burger. My mother told the waitress and she was nice enough to remake the fish n chips and remade it quickly. I just ate my burger, not wanting to complain, after all it was still edible food. I used to love Woodys, but this is my 3rd time trying to give it another chance. I don’t know what happened to cause such a decline in food quality and wait times, but I hope they figure it out.

The atmosphere was good and beer was good! But the wait times were horrendous. We waited at the “please wait to be seated” sign for about 5 minutes before anyone working there even acknowledged us. After being sat it took about 20 minutes to get our order placed. Then an actual 45 minute wait for our food to be delivered. The food was good but I’m not sure if the hunger was seasoning it or not. It wasn’t super crowded when we went either, it just seemed like if you aren’t a local (which we aren’t) then you’re a second class citizen.

This place was absolutely AMAZING! Our waitress Elizabeth was so sweet! Everything was fresh fresh fresh and home made. Our absolute new favorite spot!

Absolutely love Woody’s. Moved to Redding in 2014 and it is the place I take all out of town guests too. Routine taps, seasonal, staff specials, all are great. While there’s a ton of IPA and Hazey options, I prefer the stouts, porters and this Tripel. Burgers, taco Tuesday (carnitas are my favorite), mac and cheese, can’t go wrong. I’m not a professional with food photos. You’re lucky I took any before devouring another meal here, which is why you don’t see the loaded tots.

We had a really wonderful experience here. This was the best beer that we have had so far in California and Val helped us to order an amazing extra special birthday treat. Everything looked fabulous that came out of the kitchen and everything we tried was top notch! Next time we are in the area, we will absolutely be back.

What a fabulous restaurant! We went two Fridays in a row! The tater tots were delicious-a secret recipe! Both burgers were unique and really hit the spot. The first Friday we tried the blue cheese burger and the next time we tried the barbecue burger. Our waitress was Amanda, both times! She was very attentive and we surely appreciated that. Woody’s for the win!

Shout out to our server Ashlee who is an excellent waitress!! After a terrible experience trying to eat dinner at an establishment in Anderson, it was such a delight to be genuinely greeted, especially 30 minutes before closing on a Friday night. They were shutting down, but immediately cleaned a table for our party of 3. Speaking as a veteran waitress myself, Ashlee is a pro! Definitely order the house made tots and ranch! My kiddo said it was the best grilled cheese ever. The beer cheese. The tots. THE BEER! Great little spot; definitely will be back.

After a long day of hiking, we were craving something comforting and filling. Woody's definitely hit the spot! We don't drink, but they had a great selection of beers, ciders, and wine! We started with the loaded tater tots. They were super yummy! I always try tots if they have it on the menu. They were crispy, cheesy, and topped with guac and sauce. The mac and cheese was creamy with a bit of sharpness from the cheese. Super satisfying. We also ordered the Thai-flavored wings, which were packed with flavor and served hot and crispy. Service was friendly and efficient. We got seated quickly, and the food came out in a timely manner. The vibe was casual and laid-back, which was perfect for winding down after a long day outdoors. A fun bonus: each table has a little menu insert with conversation starters, which made the experience even more enjoyable. It was a cute touch that added a playful element to our meal. We had a great time and would definitely come back again!

Food was amazing, service was so so. It was terrible busy, still a fair amount of tables open. It's not a big place when the back room isn't open. It took a long time for menus, drinks, and food. But food and beer were good. Kid friendly of course.

Stopped here when passing through. Very casual atmosphere. Service was top notch, very friendly and attentive. We ordered the fish and chips and subbed the chips for tater tots, and the Mac attack and added the ghost pepper cheese. Both came out hot. The tater tots were not your normal tots, more like a fritter or hashbrown ball. The fish was decent. The Mac attack was good, the ghost pepper cheese add on gave it an incredible kick, probably wouldn't go that route again. Over all I would probably come back if I lived here though I did find it a bit high priced.

Great service and a wide selection of beers on tap. The Thai pork sliders and sweet potato fries were really good.

Good service, delish food, dog friendly! Best tots ive ever had - I recommend NO sauce or ketchup as it drowns out their flavor.

Loved the food and the wait staff. Our waitress was so attentive and friendly. We had the street tacos and they were very tasty. We also had the homemade tater tots with bacon & blue cheese. They were amazing. We really enjoyed the beer selection and bought some to go. I highly recommend this restaurant/brewery.

It's been awhile since I visited Woody's and I was happy to be back. The food was better than I remembered. The tater tots are absolutely a must try, do good. I went with the smokehouse burger which was good. Our server was very friendly, helpful and very attentive. The restaurant is clean and well decorated. Definitely a great option for a pub style burger.

Great vibe the moment you walk through the door. Valerie took very good care of us. The chicken flatbread was loaded! As for the Philly Cheesesteak? One of the best! Recommend the flight of IPA to sample and enjoy their craft beer. Cheers!

Every thing was very good( service, food, drinks. Mac a cheese was delicious but filling.

This was my first time visiting Redding and our Airbnb host recommended woodys. I'm not a huge fan of American food in general but my friends and i decided to go. We got the chicken club, jalapeño burger, blue cheese burger and their famous tots to share. The star of the show was definitely the special hand made tots that are individually smashed. It's crispy on the inside and super fluffy on the inside almost like mashed potato with the perfect hint of garlic flavor to them. My favorite and best tots I have eaten to date, I orders the blue cheese burger because I really like the blue cheese dip from Wingstop. The blue cheese burger contained bacon, a blue cheese ranch, and the regular toppings in a burger such as tomato, lettuce, and red onion. I took my first bite and it was amazing! The crispy bacon with the salty blue cheese and sauce was a flavor bomb of salt in my mouth. However it soon got super heavy to be able to continue eating. There might have been too much blue cheese on the burger and I think it just didn't pair well with the already extremely salty bacon. I had to ask for a side of jalapeños to continue to eat the burger. On the other hand I tried my friend jalapeño burger and it was a lot better with the spiciness of the jalapeño really helping with the heaviness of the burger. I would recommend the blue cheese burger if you really love blue cheese because they definitely pile it on. Aside from the ingredients inside the burger. The meat quality was great and the burger was cooler perfectly. I personally think jalapeño would go really well with the blue cheese burger or at least some pickle to cut out the extreme saltiness after every bite. In conclusion, the next time I come to Redding I would definitely order the tater tots and come just for that. Truly the best thing on the menu.

Great brew pub! The beer was great. Servers were on top of things. Nice place overall. I'd definitely return. The sandwich was delicious! Tater tots great. Overall I'd recommend.

No matter where you live, a drive to Woody's Brewing to experience the garlic tots is worth it! My husband and I stopped by while on a road trip and had a great experience. Our server was friendly and professional, and our meals were very good. We enjoyed the fish and chips and The Smokehouse Burger.

We ordered Quickie IPAs and they were delicious. There's outdoor seating and you're welcome to bring your pup. If you choose outdoor seating, you have to order inside and you get a pager to alert you your order is ready. Plenty of umbrellas to shade you from the sun. We ordered the Wedge and Asian Chicken salads and they were OK. If we go again, we'll order real pub food!

Great food, outstanding selection of brew (so many other places only offer IPA's). Food is spicy overall, I like it that way, but if you don't, be sure to ask before you order. The fish n chips is outstanding, so are their salads. The main thing is ... you can't get a cell signal in there. Well, sometimes you can get one bar. I go in for lunch, and I need to be able to be contacted during my lunch. If I have 'call' that day - I can't go here. Too bad too. It costs them, probably, two or three visits a week from me. And, all they gotta so is put Wi-Fi in. How much can that cost? ONE lunch ticket from me? Two? New owners are getting their footing. Hope they see this suggestion.

Hummus plate was divine, we were so hungry and nearly finished the plate before it came. The smokehouse burger as always did not disappoint! So so juicy and the patty was cooked to perfection. Always easy to find parking at Woody's and we were seated immediately.

Service was amazing ! Ordered a burger and a full pound of wings , everything was delicious The restaurant itself was a vibe , very colorful and welcoming. Will be coming back !

Stopped here for lunch ima road trip. Staff was nice and food was decent. But, my burger was undercooked and they said they would remake it at no charge and then they charged us! Will not go back.

If you are ever near Redding, you gotta check out Woody's. We had a really excellent meal, fabulous service and friendliest server (Shout out to Gage from Burnie & Steve). Highly recommend. Truly everything was top notch. My husband had the mac n cheese with smoked sausage....oh my! The beer cheese in the mac is so thick, creamy & tangy. I had the Spicy Cali chicken sandwich made a we bit less spicy for me. They were kind enough to substitute out regular jack cheese for the ghost pepper jack on the menu. Utter perfection. And the home made tater tots!!! So crispy crunchy on the outside & pillowy goodness on the inside just like the menu describes. Thanks for a fabulous meal & a wonderful night. We will definitely be back next time we are thru town.

Exceptional fried pickles! Cajun chicken pasta, F & C, Philly sandwich, Shrimp poorboy. All great quality entrees, accompanied by TOTS / onion rings. Heather was a rock Not only was she knowledgeable about the beer selection, she was patient, attentive and so sweet. Happy to get anything we needed and is an asset to Woody's. Can't wait to go back

The beer batter on the fish and chips was dense, and not good, and one piece was way over cooked. The iced tea was great.

Came here with friends after a backpacking trip and we ordered four burgers, tater tots and a couple glasses of beer. The tater tots tasted so crunchy and fresh. Burgers were yummy and juicy and packed with meat. Yummy food and good beer!

The food was amazing! Legit the best tots I've ever had. Different than the basic tots. Had the spicy chicken sandwich. Really good. Did basic pepper Jack vs ghost pepper Jack. Beer was good. Had the double IPA and hazy ipa. Service was good. Nice place. Food will bring me back!

Found this brewery after our short hike in Burney Falls in Redding area. Located on Yelp as a top place to have a burger and beer. Came when I guess it just opened as we were able to seat ourselves before they closed it off and you had to wait to be seated. It was a packed house. No private parking, just street parking. Tori was our server. We arrived about 5:15p but after half an hour, you had to wait to be seated. 45 min wait was what we heard. Yikes! We ordered and the food came pretty quickly. Drinks came out first of course. I ordered the Swheat Dreams and tastes like the regular wheat beer. Good for me! Hubster ordered the Pacific Pineapple Cider. It's good and sweet but too sweet for me. Hubster ordered the fish and chips. It was good but the portion was kind of small even the fries portion. I ordered the jalapeño burger with fries. It was good and juicy but pretty oily. It was I think on a pretzel bun. Still satisfied my hunger. I had more steak fries on my tray than my hubster and he was upset. HAHA Great place. Good server and restaurant decor. Good ambiance. Um, felt a little out of place as we were the minority but still they were welcoming. We just got stares from customers like we didn't belong but I am about good food and beer so we will come back if in the area. I recommend the food. Thanks! [4 R, 2023]

Great little place, tucked away off of the main thoroughfare. Great food, and even better service. Tried the Mac and cheese, tots and chicken sandwich. I definitely recommend this place.

Stopped by here while visiting Redding for my national parks trip and really enjoyed the food. I got the smokehouse burger and tots. The tots were just fantastic and the burger was delicious. Great beer options too!

Fish and chips Fried pickles- spears, not rounds. Tator tots, extra crispy I ate here AGES AGO, many times over the years. The family and I still talk about these being the best fried pickles we've ever had. Great service as well.

So bummed they took the best thing off the menu the chicken Cajun pasta. Please bring it back!! it was so yummy

OMG their Macaroni and cheese! That's it. That's the review. Just kidding. But in all seriousness, this was one of the best mac and cheeses I had IN MY LIFE. Unbelievably cheesy and creamy. So incredibly satisfying. Especially for being the first meal upon waking up after an overnight train trip. I was really looking forward to my leftovers if my Mother wasn't such a fridge gremlin and ate mine!! I look forward to eating at Woody's again the next time I am in Redding visiting the fam. (no pics, sorry. I was lack-of-sleep hungover and completely forgot.)

What happened to Woodys? This place used to be one of our favorites because you got what you paid for. Large portions and good price. Their new shishito appetizer charges $1 per shishito!! I had 9 tiny peppers all scrunched in the corner and put in the smallest size box they have. Go to MOSAIC!!! You get huge peppers in a massive pile for like 2$ more. The buffalo sliders have shrunk to half the size too which was a staple in our orders. We won't be back.

On my way to Portland and wanted some local food. Found Woody's on yelp and was very impressed. Service was outstanding I was helped by Valerie C. She was very helpful and was impressed at the level of service as it was exceptional. Coming in I wouldn't have guessed service would be at such a high level. I got the Apricot Wheat Ale and enjoyed a couple glasses. I got the Jalapeño burger without the bun and side salad. Was my first time having whole jalapeños deep friend and it was very tasty. Burger was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. If you want a cold beer and great service Woodys is worth checking out!

We had seen a Facebook post about the special meals Woody's was offering for Octoberfest, and it looked delicious so we went for dinner. A sign told us to seat ourselves so we did. After sitting there for a good 15 minutes we finally were given menus and water, and the waiter quickly disappeared. We could have given him our order but he didn't bother asking, and we would have ordered our own drinks at the bar, but there was no bartender to be seen. I'm generally a pretty patient person, but I don't know anyone that would go to a brewpub to sit with a glass of water and no food. After sitting another 10-15 minutes with our water, we realized we could go elsewhere and actually be waited on, so we left and went to another restaurant. Probably won't go back again.

Order the bleu bacon burger with tator tots, the burger was good but it was really messy & the tators weren't bad just not to my taste. Service was prompt & a nice little place with new owners.

I looked up desserts in Redding and Woody's came up. We ordered some beer, the tots, and the seasonal dessert "Peach Buckle" Loved to see everything we ordered was completely homemade! So impressed and the prices were reasonable. I like the rotating dessert and will go back to see next seasons special! The food looked really good too so I will have to try the entrees next time! Our server was very nice and quick. We were in and out for a quick bite to end our night! Thanks =)

So far so good....the bar staff and service are great. Nice selection of beers, and I was offered many samples to make my final decision! Keep up the great work woody's!

Woody's makes a great Philly Cheesesteak and you will want to get a to-go order of their Mac and Cheese as a side dish (or snack) for later in the week. "Teacher's Aide" is one of the better amber IPAs.

The food is great for a brewery and the service was excellent even though they were busy. The beer was pretty solid too!
